Wow, 66 alerts, all in a single thread! Thank you so so much!
I just called the clinic. Pallina has spent a peaceful night (it's 10 am over here right now). Her conditions are stable, her temperature has got to normal values, yesterday she was 35.4°C (95.7°F) 4 hours after the surgery.
She's eating through the E-tube that they placed during the operation, she reacts to what happens around, but she's very weak.
Her prognosis is still critical and guarded for the next 36-48 hours, so she's not out of this nightmare yet.
I will be able to see her today in the afternoon, around 5 pm CET (11 am EST, 8 am PST).
Please, keep praying for her, I'm more than sure that most of the success in this ordeal comes from you all, fantastic people!
Hugs to you all!
Purrs and food? She’s so happy! It sounds like she’s super excited to get well and enjoy her new lease on life! Wonderful news!Again, folks, thanks a billion!
I appreciate and welcome every single post, thought or purraise you are sending this way.
To those who say they are late in joining and following this thread I want to say that it doesn't matter how soon you add your thought and support, what it does matter is that you're here!
Latest news.
Yesterday in the late afternoon I went to visit her, she was still lying on a side, but she raised her head when she saw me walking in the room where she is. And she started purring loudly. She couldn't stand but gave me some head butts, then she rested her head on my hand. We stayed like this for some minutes.
The vet told me that she had just had her meal through the E-tube and she was fine.
They're are feeding her 30-40% her required food, then they will increase as from today.
I left the room and Pallina after 20 minutes. I would have liked to stay forever, but I didn't want to stress her out, she needs to rest.
I called the clinic a few minutes ago and the vet told me she had just eaten and taken her medicine (E-tube) and that was getting some cuddles.
She was standing, this morning, so it tseems there's a slight improvement.
I'll see her again today at 3 pm CET (9 am East coast, 6 am Pacific coast).
Thanks, you are great indeed!!!
