My bedroom window slides open vertically, not horizontally (so, the glass can't be pushed up). I'm hoping to find a catflap that can be built into my window's preexisting screen. Are there in existence any catflaps for this type of window and screen?
How did you do that? I just looked at the cat door and the installation manual also, it looks like its one piece the frame of the door and the flap, I thought it will be possible to remove the flap thats what you meant, but I dont see its possible.
Thought you were escape proofing the yard?Won't you consider an outdoor catio for Unc with a nice little catflap to go in and out and be safe and secure?
...very well- Timmy was pretty stressed and did not come in from the patio right away after my neighbors left- he peeked his head through the catflap and kept looking at me to get the "all clear"
After a few" It's okay baby Babaloos" he came in,jumped up next to me,snuggled and he settled...
I realize that, however if the cat is at all food motivated, it shouldn't take a lot of training for the cat to learn to navigate the catflap to obtain the food that is inside.
Is it an open litter box or completely enclosed with a front opening, possibly even a flap door? Some cats, for whatever reason, don't like or become averse to enclosed litter boxes.
Also, have you ever moved the litter box, even a few feet, then moved it back? If you move it and they use it...
I told Timmy he should learn how to used the catflap to the patio- it's been cool so I leave the sliding glass doors open enough for him to go in and out but soon it will be very hot and I'll keep those doors closed so he must learn that Mommy is not his doorman
So yesterday I showed him the...
...Moms name was Pumpkin) but like you I have a memorial photo up snd I talk to him everyday..... I often expect to see him when I hear someone go through the catflap- clunk clunk but not my boy......
I hope your sleeping right now,it's 4in the morning - but if your not you've got company, lol
My cats are indoor, although they have access to a ‘catio’ outdoor run via a catflap.
So far, I’ve been presented with a leaf and a cricket minus it’s legs :ohwell:
...found 2 of our cats now outside, and on guard, I looked on our cameras we have (both inside and out) and found a strange can come in via the catflap, eat some leftover wet cat food, then the cat goes into my front room, where my 2 cats wake up, and chase/fight off this visiter cat, since...
I typically let my cat outside daily. Yesterday he was in a fight with a stray cat. Today the flap of his ear is swollen and has puss in it, some of which is draining out thru the cut. I'm assuming it's an infection caused by the other cat scratching the inside of the ear. I will take him to the...
...not even in the house to do so and being at work etc, for the moment the kitten has his safe room and our other 2 cats are in with the catflap locked.
Although this isn't ideal they don't seem stressed and have all found a place within the home to go.
Im just concerned as soon. As I open...
...7-year-old who is somewhat nervous, and a playful two-year-old (who dominates the blind one a bit). The younger cat has started using the catflap, after a bit of coaxing. But the blind one (who probably doesn't like the scent of her annoying feline housemate on the catflap!) seems reluctant...
...we have a kitten,
she stays around the area and will eat just outside the house but not indoors
I don't know whether to give her time and let her carry on being outside or to bring her in and see if I can encourage her to get along with him
I know she try's to go straight for the catflap...
...on Thursday, 90 minutes walk and 40 minutes yoga on Friday, just an hour of yoga yesterday.
And of course, now that it's too chilly to leave the screen door with the catflap open, opening and closing the door to let the cats in or out has taken on the regularity of physical exercise...
