No stroller but there was a big crowd of admirers surrounding him, definitely a showstopper!

I had the best foot warmer last night - a cute and cuddly Carleton.

I was about to ask the same. Sending sweet Carleton lots of hugs and snugglins.

We did the feral spay and neuter today! 40 cats will be spayed. Some of them were very unhappy and I felt sorry for them. But their lives will be so much better now, not having to deal with litter after litter (for the females,) and nasty fights (for the males!)

I may end up with another cat, but at this point, I'm not sure. Daisy, the cat belonging to my friend who passed will probably be taken by her neighbor. The situation has changed for John Wayne, the other cat I was thinking I might get, so I might not get him either! Maybe in a few months.

I worked with a middle school pupil today at the shelter. Her class has to do some kind of volunteer work for a week and then write up a report. She showed up a half hour early, asked a lot of intelligent questions about pet care, didn't shy away from "dirty work" like scooping litter boxes, sweeping cat rooms or collecting dirty dishes, and was very pleasant.

Thanks so much for asking and thinking of my boy. He's feeling much better and back to his old ways. Tomorrow he will go in for his scheduled dental. He has two teeth that may need to be pulled so keeping my fingers crossed everything will be okay.

Right now he is enthusiastically watching the birds that are flying in the bushes from his cat tree.

Astronomical spring starts today at 5:58 PM

When I went to pick up a prescription yesterday I found out is made in a generic now. Instead of $100 for a 90 day supply now it is only $20.

Did income tax Monday (my birthday) and found the taxes will be MUCH less then we thought! Flipped a house last year and made a profit. I guess there IS something good about having a stock loss!!!

Thank you for the kind thoughts. He ended up needing 3 extractions and was very subdued yesterday but is feeling better today.

I got back last night from a last-minute trip to Florida. I went down there with my mom to visit my grandpa whose health has been declining. The good news is that while he's still riddled with cancer, his doctor said yesterday, that he's still got some miles left in him and that there had been a big improvement from his appointment the week before. I was never close with my grandpa because he is not a talker and as a kid, I didn't talk, period, and he and my grandma were living in Florida since before I was born, but we talked some this last week and I helped him with some yard work and pool cleaning.

I got another popcorn box for the cats I had to throw the old one away because someone threw up in it.

Hannah is making another meat loaf for me today. The one last week was so good and I loved having meat loaf sandwiches afterwards. This one is just an old-fashioned recipe but sounds good.

It's chilly and damp but I don't really care because I have a good book and a scary movie to watch.
