I would have had a hemorrhage too. You never know what an indoor cat will do if they get outside. Wandering off for a week and not getting his meds definitely would not be cool. I replaced most of the screens with pet proof screen early on and thought that would be good enough, but eventually Bodhi pushed out one of the screens (I was there so he didn't escape). When I looked at the screen it just had two tiny clips keeping it in place so I ended up putting some screws into the frame so it wouldn't happen again.
Yeah, unfortunately that was a rental so I couldn't go too crazy with the nails and screws. Now that we have our own place, it's *Have Ryobi, will drill* and I check the screens frequently. I mean, obsessively.

I thought tonight Buddy would be mellow. He had a very busy day.
He had 2 shots boosted, a micro chip implanted, hernia fixed, and his manhood taken.
Instead I think he decided to take it out on the little tree. I ended up having to take down the tree.
Vet says keep him from jumping and running... yeah right....maybe I should stop the pain meds...maybe that will slow him down.

WOW! Sounds like Buddy might want a little help with the discomfort for awhile longer, after having had all THAT done! :angrycat:

Charlie literally backed Selene into a corner. She stayed here for a minute after he gave up.
Uh oh! *Stand down, Charlie!* Poor Selene. I keep telling my Baby Su that if she just stood up to and faced Elvis when he does this, he might stop. It's the prey drive in him that makes her run and hide, and that's no way to live when you were there first and have a big house with all kinds of enrichment! I hope Selene will stand up for herself, too, and that Charlie will get the message and treat her as the housemate and pal she should be!

at our old house we had this pot and pan rack. tibbs would get on top of the coffee maker (Which he was about to do here) and then he'd stand on his little hind legs and wack at the pots and pans til they made a jolly racket. that is the dinner bell says he. feedz me and or let me out side.

i collect european art glass. I have shelves of it. I had to leave a shelf open here for her or she'd get into an occupied one. even with her own shelf she still tries to wack stuff to the floor. I had another shelf too that she was even more infamous for getting into. my philosophy is you can't stop em from doing what they want but you can work with them to minimize damages. lol
kitchen installation was still going on at this point. but the one he is in had a door. lol. I have more of tibby in kitchen cupboards he shouldn't be in but I can't find them atm. lol. the bigger challenge for me would be pics where the cat is not sleeping, not in a box and not getting into trouble. lol
