It's one night. They won't be thrilled, but they'll be okay.
It's only for one night. That's a wonderful idea! Thank you so much.
Thanks for checking in i missed seeing your posts.
I agree. As soon as people give me their sad stories my instinct is to help. My sil starts telling me of all her struggles with 3 kids and my instinct is to help. But I'm learning to not offer too much help. But still give help from time to time to be kind.
P.s. I'm staying at my sister's house tonight. Its 9 pm and still not done clearing things out.
But my bed and essentials are in Hialeah. Just need to get the kitties over there. They're stuck in a different bedroom in my sister's house so they're stressed.
Tomorrow they move to their new room. They don't even have their trees for tonight.
I don't know. Kittys driving me crazy. I avoid her door dashing by using a baby gate. She keeps escaping from the guest room and trying to go back to my old bedroom. She looks in the corner for her tree. I feel bad for her. But I'm also dead tired and annoyed. Its 11:30 pm. Just came from walmart. I bought a door knob with a key to prevent my brothers kids from going in me room. It's one night. They won't be thrilled, but they'll be okay.
Lol I know what you mean. But I'm grateful he's letting me back in. He could have told me no because of the cats. Just like my middle brother did. Said i could take his couch. But the cats couldn't come in.It's only for one night.
Hey, how about them helping YOU, for a change???
How adorable they are!View attachment 371649View attachment 371650
12 pm praying they let me sleep. Hoping o don't get allergies since they can climb up on my bed. Might take benadryl.
Edit: i felt an odd breeze as i put my arm over my eyes. Hope she's not telling me I'm stinky after i showered. Lol
Normally kitty pants and meows hysterically. She wasn't as upset. I completely forgot about the feliway. I wonder if Feliway stays long term on products? I sprayed it on the carrier last year. It's good the cats transferred okay. It's going to be an adjustment, but hopefully an improvement and a step along the way to independent living.
Looking good, Kitty and Elsa! *Remember, IT'S ONLY TEMPORARY. It's a step on the path to independence and better days!*It's 3 am. I had completely forgotten that today is my mom's bday. I moved back into my childhood home the day before my mom's bday. Almost feels like she played a part in bringing me back here.
My mom had her way of getting me to do what she wanted.
The cats have settled in. I wonder if they remember that this was their original home? The last time i moved Elsa refused to eat for days. She ate right away when i got here.
We had such a scare when we got here. My brother told me he'd change my door knob. But he didn't. I locked the cats in the room inside their carriers.
I was terrified. Lol kept trying everything. Until someone suggested to use a credit card and it worked! Thank God. Lol

Thankfully they are still holding up well. They havent given me any issues. They act like this has always been their room. lolMaybe they remember, or maybe they're just happy to be out of the bad vibes in the old place. Either way, I'm glad they've settled quick so far. And it does seem like a cosmic blessing from your mom.
Thats the only negative here is the messes. I get that she has 3 kids though. But im used to living in a clean home. But im not letting it get to me, its just not worth it.Looking good, Kitty and Elsa! *Remember, IT'S ONLY TEMPORARY. It's a step on the path to independence and better days!*
Yesterday was my dad's birthday.
Not sure if Feliway would last that long, but cats' senses are MUCH more sensitive than ours, so they may still be able to smell it. Use it in your room when you need to, too, to help them stay calm and happy. So far, so good.
I know about cleaning standards being different!!! and it's often on me to clean spills etc. I would get angry about it, as you probably know. So I thought about it and finallly reached the conclusion that as long as I'm sharing the house I will have to clean up some of her "careless" messes. Because she doesn't always, and for me to tell her every time would wear me OUT.
Things are going well. Things are less stressful here thats for sure. The cats are content. I just feel bad that they are stuck in such a tiny bedroom, it seems unfair to them. But they havent given me any issues. So far i am less stressed here. But i've also been down as i sense my moms presence here.terestrife : Just wondering how things are going?
I'm happy to hear the kitties are content. They certainly look content in those pics. Glad you're less stressed too. Hopefully your being down about feeling your Mom's presence will fade the longer you're there, and you're able to remember some of the happy times and not just the sad ones.Things are going well. That would be amazing if you got the job. Good luck with the interview.I also have a job interview friday. I dont want to get too excited because last time it took me a long time to get a job offer. The pay jump would be big and i dont know if they would allow that at my job as i remember reading you could only be promoted by certain levels.
If i could get this job, i think i could finally afford my own place.
I will do that, thank you!I wouldn’t feel like you need to tell your boss you are looking at other positions. it Isn’t necessary until you get to the point where you are offered the job. You can let them know in your interview that your manager isn’t aware and would appreciate if it was kept confidential for now.
Thats true. I just wonder if departments i apply for will call him even though i put not to contact my boss. lolI agree. You're never obligated to say you're job searching, because it might make your current job treat you differently.
Still no luck with finding a job. But i will continue trying. The kitties are happy. They just dont like when i stay away from the room too long. lolI'm happy to hear the kitties are content. I decided not to tell him. Not worth the risk as you mentioned.I would NEVER tell an existing boss about a job search! I made the mistake of mentioning this to co-workers at one job and I was immediately let go. NEVER again.
Elsa and Kitty look very relaxed and happy with their nice big window to look out of! And good that you feel less stressed. I don't doubt it. *PRAYERS* for you to get that job! and be able to go on to a place that's yours. As to your mom's presence, I feel my folks' presence here all the time. It's a big part of why I've been able to endure since being here. I know they are watching over me and protecting me. Our belief systems are different, I know, but maybe if you can look at it in a different way, you'll be supported by this, as I am.
I'm sorry i havent been posting. I am still trying to get my things over here and trying to find a way to fit everything i need in my small room. My car is small so i cant bring over everything so fast.Been thinking about you all every day, terestrife and so just checking in. Hoping and praying all is well with you, Kitty and Elsa.
