That's a wonderful idea! Thank you so much. :heartshape:

Thanks for checking in i missed seeing your posts.

I agree. As soon as people give me their sad stories my instinct is to help. My sil starts telling me of all her struggles with 3 kids and my instinct is to help. But I'm learning to not offer too much help. But still give help from time to time to be kind.

P.s. I'm staying at my sister's house tonight. Its 9 pm and still not done clearing things out.

But my bed and essentials are in Hialeah. Just need to get the kitties over there. They're stuck in a different bedroom in my sister's house so they're stressed.

Tomorrow they move to their new room. They don't even have their trees for tonight.
It's only for one night.
Hey, how about them helping YOU, for a change???

It's one night. They won't be thrilled, but they'll be okay.
I don't know. Kittys driving me crazy. I avoid her door dashing by using a baby gate. She keeps escaping from the guest room and trying to go back to my old bedroom. She looks in the corner for her tree. I feel bad for her. But I'm also dead tired and annoyed. Its 11:30 pm. Just came from walmart. I bought a door knob with a key to prevent my brothers kids from going in me room.

Lol I know what you mean. But I'm grateful he's letting me back in. He could have told me no because of the cats. Just like my middle brother did. Said i could take his couch. But the cats couldn't come in.

Ended up buying some clothes for their kids at walmart. That's something parents always need.

Edit: i felt an odd breeze as i put my arm over my eyes. Hope she's not telling me I'm stinky after i showered. Lol

Finally moved in.

Not going to lie, i miss the old place. My old house was so clean. My bathroom was mine only and it was super clean. Everyone uses the bathroom i use more l now. The bathtub hasn't been used in years so it has rust.

All the surfaces are sticky and dirty from the 3 kids. It's driving my obsessive personality crazy.

Thankfully it wasn't hard to get the cats here. They cried less than normal.

My sister told me i could use my old room for crafts. But when i told my niece about it she said she might need the room later. So it made me feel like she didn't want my stuff there.

She later said that she meant she was going to be painting and decorating the room and didn't want me to feel bad. It was just weird.

Anyway I'm at Hialeah now. Can't wait for my own place. :sigh:

It's good the cats transferred okay. It's going to be an adjustment, but hopefully an improvement and a step along the way to independent living.

Normally kitty pants and meows hysterically. She wasn't as upset. I completely forgot about the feliway. I wonder if Feliway stays long term on products? I sprayed it on the carrier last year.

It's 3 am. I had completely forgotten that today is my mom's bday. I moved back into my childhood home the day before my mom's bday. Almost feels like she played a part in bringing me back here.

My mom had her way of getting me to do what she wanted.

The cats have settled in. I wonder if they remember that this was their original home? The last time i moved Elsa refused to eat for days. She ate right away when i got here.

We had such a scare when we got here. My brother told me he'd change my door knob. But he didn't. I locked the cats in the room inside their carriers.

I was terrified. Lol kept trying everything. Until someone suggested to use a credit card and it worked! Thank God. Lol

Maybe they remember, or maybe they're just happy to be out of the bad vibes in the old place. Either way, I'm glad they've settled quick so far. And it does seem like a cosmic blessing from your mom.

Looking good, Kitty and Elsa! *Remember, IT'S ONLY TEMPORARY. It's a step on the path to independence and better days!*
Yesterday was my dad's birthday.
Not sure if Feliway would last that long, but cats' senses are MUCH more sensitive than ours, so they may still be able to smell it. Use it in your room when you need to, too, to help them stay calm and happy. So far, so good.
I know about cleaning standards being different!!! and it's often on me to clean spills etc. I would get angry about it, as you probably know. So I thought about it and finallly reached the conclusion that as long as I'm sharing the house I will have to clean up some of her "careless" messes. Because she doesn't always, and for me to tell her every time would wear me OUT.

Thankfully they are still holding up well. They havent given me any issues. They act like this has always been their room. lol

Thats the only negative here is the messes. I get that she has 3 kids though. But im used to living in a clean home. But im not letting it get to me, its just not worth it.

I hope you didnt get down on your dads birthday. It always gets to me on my moms birthday.

terestrife terestrife : Just wondering how things are going?
Things are going well. Things are less stressful here thats for sure. The cats are content. I just feel bad that they are stuck in such a tiny bedroom, it seems unfair to them. But they havent given me any issues. So far i am less stressed here. But i've also been down as i sense my moms presence here.

I also have a job interview friday. I dont want to get too excited because last time it took me a long time to get a job offer. The pay jump would be big and i dont know if they would allow that at my job as i remember reading you could only be promoted by certain levels.

If i could get this job, i think i could finally afford my own place.

My brother was asking me if my boss knew i was switching. He warned me that he might already know. I'm not sure if i should mention it. My brother says that even if its different campuses, that they might call to ask what i am like. I am close to the person that works below my boss. i thought of asking him. Just dont want to do anything that will cause me issues.

I wouldn’t feel like you need to tell your boss you are looking at other positions. it Isn’t necessary until you get to the point where you are offered the job. You can let them know in your interview that your manager isn’t aware and would appreciate if it was kept confidential for now.

I'm happy to hear the kitties are content. They certainly look content in those pics. Glad you're less stressed too. Hopefully your being down about feeling your Mom's presence will fade the longer you're there, and you're able to remember some of the happy times and not just the sad ones.

That would be amazing if you got the job. Good luck with the interview.

I would NEVER tell an existing boss about a job search! I made the mistake of mentioning this to co-workers at one job and I was immediately let go. NEVER again.
Elsa and Kitty look very relaxed and happy with their nice big window to look out of! And good that you feel less stressed. I don't doubt it. *PRAYERS* for you to get that job! and be able to go on to a place that's yours. As to your mom's presence, I feel my folks' presence here all the time. It's a big part of why I've been able to endure since being here. I know they are watching over me and protecting me. Our belief systems are different, I know, but maybe if you can look at it in a different way, you'll be supported by this, as I am.

I will do that, thank you!

So far i have had three interviews. But they told me the process can take long.

I agree. You're never obligated to say you're job searching, because it might make your current job treat you differently.
Thats true. I just wonder if departments i apply for will call him even though i put not to contact my boss. lol

Still no luck with finding a job. But i will continue trying. The kitties are happy. They just dont like when i stay away from the room too long. lol

I decided not to tell him. Not worth the risk as you mentioned.

It does feel like my mom is watching over me. Just miss having her around. So many things would be different if she were still here.

Been thinking about you all every day, terestrife terestrife and so just checking in. Hoping and praying all is well with you, Kitty and Elsa.
I'm sorry i havent been posting. I am still trying to get my things over here and trying to find a way to fit everything i need in my small room. My car is small so i cant bring over everything so fast.

Things are going well. There havent been any problems. I get to spend more time with my nieces and nephew. I offered my brother to pay rent or help in any way i could. He told me to save up my money. So he is being very kind to me.

The only negative is the cats being stuck in such a tiny bedroom. My old room has an issue that it didnt have a couple of years back. Theres this odd musty/dusty smell. The windows were opened for a few days. The floor cleaned with bleach. I even dusted and sprayed disinfectant on the walls with a wet rag.

I cannot get the smell to go away. It even gets on my towel. Makes me sick to my stomach. I cant even air out the room anymore since the window doesnt have a screen. I was told the ac was leaking while i was away. But the ac systems are now new. But perhaps the water caused some kind of issue.

Thankfully thats the only issue i am having. Everything has been peaceful here.

I had a doctors appointment yesterday. They had to increase my BP meds. I was put on two different medications to control my sugar. They put me on cholesterol meds. Not to mention the hormone meds i am already on. I hate having to take all these medications. So thats been stressing me out. These meds help you. while also causing damage.
