Yesterday my cat met a friend:
My cat: the little fluffy guy
New cat: the ginger
They meowed at each other and "talked" for a while. The ginger seemed inclined to jump down into our backyard, but didn't (probably wanted to keep a polite distance).
What causes some cats to be "nice" to...
So, Thor is going through ~phase~ and is losing his little baby teeth!
Whether on the carpet or in your kittys' mouths, show off those scary teeth!
(There isn't a thread for this already, I believe.....?)
I wasn't sure whether I should post this here or in the General Cat Care forum, but I figure dental care is closely tied to food.
Thor, my cat, is just over five months old. He is just entering puberty, and I guess he'll be getting his adult teeth soon (I read that it happens at around 6...
Today is one of the saddest days of the year, for me. I'm not sure how many Queen fans this website has, but I would like to acknowledge Freddie Mercury. (Who was a great cat lover, by the way)
On this day, Freddie Mercury passed on due to complications from AIDS.
1946 - forever
I'm...
My kitten Thor has some bald patches on him, mainly around his legs, belly and armpits.
You can't really tell in these photos, but you can kind of see where the skin is more pink.
Is this normal? I haven't seen it on any other cats. I should mention that once he nearly died, and the...
As you may have seen/heard before, my family and I have recently taken in one of our barncats to live with us. Thor, the kitten, is now 3 months old.
He has always been a tiny cat, which is why we adopted him. From the beginning, he's been very picky with his food (compared to the other...
Our cat, who has been at our house now for nearly one week, has begun neglecting the litterbox. He used his litterbox to an exact science prior to this.
The first accident was a pee on top of a plastic bag on the bottom row of our shelf. (It contained violin notes and such, I joke about how he...
Our kitten Thor/Runty Stumpy is nine weeks old at 450 grams! Less than half a kg. The vet says he is the smallest cat for his age that's he's seen.
Thor is the runt of the litter, because he couldn't figure out how to bottle-feed.
He's healthy otherwise, but he does need to put on weight...
My family and I are considering taking one of our barncats home! He is the runt of the litter and is quite small for his age. First though, I have some feeding questions....
(Some background information)
Here he is beside his littermate, both are boys.
Other than being small, he is very...
So, I'll cut to the chase.
We have a barn cat named Thor, who we have nicknamed "Runty Stumpy". He, as implied by his name, is a runt and is suite small. We are thinking of bringing him home, to be an indoor-outdoor cat. (Outdoor time will be limited to the backyard while supervised)...
On this day, two years ago, our fluffy Snake was born in a quiet shed in the woods.
Since then, she has been a terror to mice, scourge of squirrels and destroyer of birds.
Two years for a cat makes Snake around 24 human years, so wild times are in store...
Time to spread some positivity!!
What's the best compliment you've ever gotten? Share as much as you wish!
Today, I was told by someone I remind them of Leslie Burke. Now, I had no clue who that was, but after some research, oh my stars, I was so flattered. I also look like her, but it's the...
Our little Suki was definately a late bloomer, but puberty really did her some favours.
Before: (6-8 months)
Hahaha, potato cat. Now, I suspect this was due to baby fat and a LOT of really thick winter fur. But, she was pretty short and stubby. (She wasn't ever "fat" or overweight, believe...
Hello, people of thecatsite! It's been a while since I've posted a thread around here.
Today, I wish to address something about my fluffiest cat Raven:
As you can see, she has pretty long fur. Unfortunately, she is also a very active outdoor cat, which results her fur ending up in clumps...
I haven't seen a thread like this around, hmm. I was wondering if there are any artists out there? Anyone like to paint or sketch? You don't have to share cat-themed art, anything will do!
I'll start with some of mine:
(To give some background here, the cat drawings are based on the book...
Well, everyone, a very interesting event has just gone down with our cats. They have eaten raw bones (served by us) for the first time. Now, I say the "first time", but in reality they have eaten mice and birds before, so they are experienced.
Snake was the most professional. She grabbed part...
The latest Star Wars movie (The Last Jedi)?
Who was your favourite character? Least favourite?
Did you like the movie in general?
**obviously, for those who have not seen The Last Jedi yet, beware of spoilers**
My favourite characters were, (best to least): Kylo Ren, Rose, and Poe
My least...
This is a common saying, and I've found it is actually true, for the most part. Every single dog/owner I see have some sort of similarity, like blonde hair, muscular build, tall, short, etc.
What do you think about this? Is it just a myth or do dogs really resemble their owners?
So, I'm getting a new haircut soon, and that brought to mind an interesting topic for The Cat Lounge.
Do you have any favourite hairstyles? Hair colours?
I personally love red hair, and I love short curly hair. My own hair is brown with golden-brown streaks, it is wavy when it's long but...
Which sports do you prefer?
I am a running and swimming fan, as well as rock-climbing and maybe one day surfing! Also, I love wrestling.
My least favourite sports are baseball (boring) and basketball (but, if I follow my own rules, I do like it).
What sports do you enjoy most? The least?
