My family and I are considering taking one of our barncats home! He is the runt of the litter and is quite small for his age. First though, I have some feeding questions....

(Some background information)

Here he is beside his littermate, both are boys.

Other than being small, he is very healthy and is active. He is two months old, and we are thinking of taking him at three months old so he can learn from his mom a bit longer.

My question is: how often would we have to feed him?

We can feed him breakfast and supper for sure, but should we also include lunch? Or any other meals? He is a bit skinny.

Hi!
What a sweetie!!

we are thinking of taking him at three months old so he can learn from his mom a bit longer.
Good for you, this is wonderful to give him the chance. He'll be even stronger healthwise as well, but you'll want to run him in to a vet just to be sure about worms, fleas etc.

You will want to give him at least four meals a day, and also have some kibble for overnight. Kittens need to eat as much as they can consume - a lot :) for those growing little bodies.

Thanks Furballsmom Furballsmom !

We will definitely be taking him to the vet so he can be dewormed.

Four meals plus kibble sounds good!
