Banjo, Jcatbird knows you love a lot, and it is always good to love a lot. But having two boyfriends can cause a lot of trouble. So just be careful. Boys have fragile egos.
Hoping that that "h-word" does not cause any problems for anyone here and especially not for any felines!!! We have friends in the zone and are praying for them. Tarifa is sending best thoughts and purrs:

I am in the zone two so today I’m gonna be trying to start preparations. I may be a little scarce I don’t know. Yesterday I only had a 9% phone signal. That means my phone will be intermittently working.

Jeremiah is safe! I told Charlie when he moved in that he had to surrender his hunting license, it was part of the deal. He took his oath so seriously than when a mouse found its way into the house and took up residence in my pantry, he refused to do anything about it. He would roll on his back and watch me try to trap it. Somehow I suspect that my precious boy was probably a vegetarian out of necessity before he moved in...you know what they say vegetarian means: bad hunter.

Typed in jest with utmost respect to the vegetarians among us.
But froggie Jeremiah is safe, unless Charlie gets a voodoo doll..

Oh, yeah, you're absolutely right, Jcatbird ! Little lady cats do entertain multiple suitors in "the wild" after all. Now an amphibious paramour is a little...unusual...but given that most male cats are polygamous in nature, I guess there is no problem here.

Batten down those hatches, Jcatbird , I'm busy battening down mine! I am really happy that the new Secret Feral Shelter is heavy enough to withstand the winds that we are likely to get here. Kittehs will have a safe place to shelter!

Taking a short break to rest a minute. Doing all my cleaning now since water and power may go out. Have rain predicted for every day this week. Altready raining here and very dark all day. Just rings of clouds moving in. The storm has shifted towards us for the moment but expect it to keep shifting over the next few days. We just never know. I will have weak signals but will post in between chores and poor signals.

No one is getting eaten! I put a tarp out for Froggie to use as a refuge if the storm does come near. Lol

rubysmama I do know the parentage if most of the colony cats. Smokey and Mackie are a mystery. I knew a brother to Smokey but he had FeLv and passed as a kitten.
Purry and Dolly had siblings as well that passed. I did get to know their mothers briefly as ferals before they passed. I do not know the lineage of Lady, Mama or the original 5 tabby cats. That being Uncle Mitty, Mittwo, Mitsy, Blue and Beauty. They were all dumped together. Still we could do quite a family tree on most. It all started with the five tabby cats, Jazzy, Thrasher and Goldie. Well... maybe a few others.

rubysmama I May have another frog song for the music thread. Lol It’s really kind of funny considering the relationship going on here. The folks on the music thread may find it...... different? Everyone who enjoys the Banjo and Froggie story may find it funny though. I guess frogs get around!

Buffster7 Whistle got to keep his ear tip because he went to the vet instead of being fixed as a feral, he was fixed as an inside kitty. It cost a lot more but I’m glad. I hated getting any ears tipped but with over 100 to get done, I had to go through channels. Here it is 200 per male cat minimum. Meds are extra. I mostly had females here and that was much more. Most got to keep their ear tips though. None of the kittens were tipped. I just couldn’t stand to put babies through that, bad enough on adults. I tried offering extra payment to prevent tipping and explained none would be put back outside here if not adopted but..... rules are rules. I think 18 got tipped.
Men and Barbie of the cat world! I like that. Barbie was my big toy as a kid. Back when ...Barbie was young! Lol
Has Charlie tried arching his back to chase Finn? Banjo is hoping he tried some of the things she suggested. She says that she can teach him all about the internet so, watch your computer for secret cat messages.

Furballsmom Yep! Right now Dorian the hurricane is still headed for us. The storms often shift though. Our county issues a state of emergency last night. I heard that Charleston South Carolina has now issued one and that will likely move into more places along the coast as predictions vary. I still hope it goes out to sea.

Rats! I missed the coolest photo. I saw the cats looking outside and I got down on my knees to their eye level to look out the back door glass. Something was looking back at me! Lol I have been watching for another kitty in case Wanda Heart has family outside. This was not a cat. I was nose to nose with a Raccoon. I don’t know which of us was more surprised! The Raccoon did leave. Banjo started crying. Uh oh.

I went outside and after a few minutes, Froggie came out and climbed up the door.

Whistle is totally the son of BJ! Always sharing! Lol I could swear the kitties must read the thread every night after I go to bed. How did they know we were just discussing why kitties assume this position? I now know that BJ had a bug bubble in his tummy and that Whistle wants to share everything with Mom! I prefer the end with the ears.
I think this is the point where I let Banjo take over.

Awww, Froggie Prince!
I walked a big brown bug outside yesterday. This was the second one who has been inside. I see them and then they disappear for weeks, only to turn up looking kind of careworn, and they let me catch them with an upturned glass under which I slide a paper or card, and take them out to release them.
Never a dull moment at Chez Catbird!
