k I'm fit as a fiddle...if that fiddle had a warped neck, cracked back and frayed strings, but still!I'm glad you're feeling a bit better and hope you continue to improve.
Two words: Farmer's Market. Tomatoes from the store are picked before they are ripe, and allowed to "ripen" after. That doesn't really ripen them, it just reddens them, and they are far less than desirable. Home grown, vine ripened is what you really want. I can sit down with a big old home grown beafsteak tomato and a shaker of salt and be a happy camper.but I don't enjoy the big ones because they just always seem hard and meaty not juicy enough
I have no issue with mushy tomatoes. Those get scalded, peeled, and popped in a BIG old stock pot and turned into homemade tomato sauce...and ketchup...and stuff!
Tonight I'm baking a chicken breast. I'm thinking maybe green beans to go with. OR I may slice it very thin and stir-fry with a teriyaki sauce. I do have a package of frozen Asian veggie mix.
