I know this is all about cat rescue. I do all I can. Stick with me here. This is NOT sad. Sometimes I am just a step behind the kitties I work with. Like children, there are some things they just have to learn without me. Track the following pictures.

Goldilocks and her soul mate are sharing the love. I am still in awe of the way these two ferals have clung to each other through outdoor chaos, getting accustomed to being indoors, all the way to letting me love them. I am searching for a place for them to remain together. The sun finally came out today. So did two Mom cats. It was a very brief apperance but it left me very hopeful for a renewed effort to catch and spay.

How did you know the paper towels started the whole thing? He heard them calling to him and here is the evidence. Now these pics make sense. Judging by his expression the paper towels said something very rude! Lol
Paper towels are known for being rude to cats and starting things they aren't equipped to finish. Just ask Hekitty.

Lesson about the fly. Tastes awful! I hope you laughed. I did. Kitty survived but fly didn’t.View attachment 234581
I need to borrow this cat. Flies are beneath Hekitty's notice, and since I open the door 20 times a day, I fight them all summer long. Moths, now, have a very short shelf life here.

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 I am sure Banjo would be delighted to hunt flies for you but might not want to eat many more. I don’t know if the taste or the buzzing on the tongue was the issue but the face made said it all. I prefer kitty treats! I got to see wild kittens today. Once again they were just a blur but from what I saw they seem well filled out. There are two grey and white and one grey. The little grey took a nose dive under cover immediately and I didn’t get to see much. One stayed a little longer. I am going to set my sights on catching this group since I can’t find Thrasher.

It’s hard to tell but there are three in these pics. Maybe I will be able to determine exactly where they live in the next day or so and see if I have a chance to catch them. I will try to get pictures that aren’t from such a distance.

Thunder and rain again today. The buzzards hung around though. I call them Dam and Lucy Fur because they steal the cat food if I put it in a trap. Nothing against them doing their job, but cat food is expensive. I guess the rain bothers them too. The real problem is that I have noticed the cats are frightened of them. I guess kitties think they are birds of prey. Soooo no kitties today! Not even a sign of them. I got wet just to feed the buzzards. Lol I did take some pics of Banjo and Whistle though. I am trying to enjoy them while I still have them with me. Emoji and Manny are at the shelter for adoption. Since Manny was the accepted there he has done well but no family yet. I can’t place more there unless they get homes. I feel I am sort of stuck in place with no new adoptions. Still working to find places for them. New pics to follow. I hope you laugh!

Thrasher appeared today! She even meowed at me. I am back on my pursuit of her and the three kittens. In the meantime I have been working with the cats on hand. I introduced cats from three different rooms to each other today. It went very well. Only one kitty hissed and that was Diva, Banjo. No surprise there. Lol

Here is how the kitty introduction went. Black Bear was calm while Eisenhower pretended to be uninterested.

Eisenhower looked the other way in disdain.

Man was a little suspicious.

Man required a little human reassurance.

Then I opened the gate to let others in....

The first one in was Duster. The first female the boys have seen in awhile!

Black Bear introduced himself first.

Duster checked things out in the room while Black Bear checked her out.

There was a twitch of an ear and a bit of a stabbing glance from Duster but the intro was accepted by both.

Man was curious about Duster but cautious.

You would never expect a cat the size of Man to be intimidated by a little fluff ball like Duster.

Duster was brave and faced the lion!

Man seemed to respect her bravery and approved. Lol

I think Tortie was surprised to find the boys in the house! What a look!

She chose to observe from a distance. For now. Callie and Whistle refrained from participating so I didn’t push those intros yet. Banjo was just indignant at being removed from the room after she hissed.

She quickly recovered when she realized the camera was available for play time. All kitties survived the day and I retreated unscathed! It was a good day for socializing. Whew!
