rubysmama rubysmama What a gorgeous rose! I wonder which one this is.
Jcatbird Jcatbird I feel the same and pray for this always. Trouble is, the neighbors' joy is to have big parties with loud music and screaming kids and adults. It's really what makes them happy, and they couldn't care less about anyone else.
Graceful clowder, to be sure!:agree::flail:
And yes, *PRAYERS* for the cowcat/tuxedo in need, absolutely! I can't read the threads but I do know that each of us is an individual and that vets and other doctors are also individuals, humans, and fallible. I do not place my trust in humans.

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose Our society has lost what little (UN!)common sense it may have had. Things that make sense to people like us don't matter to most people here, as they pursue their self-absorbed goals of money and power. They believe whatever is shoved down their throats by the media and the powerful, even though it's seldom positive. All we can do is live as our values and intelligence tell us is best, and if we're spiritual, pray for us all. Our worst enemy, collectively, is definitely US. We've definitely met the enemy, but whether or not we recognize it is a moot point.
N NY cat man Definitely a best seller! I'd never seen one of those before. Very attention-getting!
And yes, all! Cats are individuals, just like us, and mammals, just like us, hardwired to be social and caring. Just like us, if they are traumatized and/or have negative experiences at the hands of humans, it may take them a long time to trust other humans, and then, only after those humans have proven that they are worthy of trust.

It's Modern Blush, and supposed to be "extremely winter hardy", so hopefully that means it will survive the cold and snow and freezing rain my area gets.

Morden Blush
(fyi, I paid a lot less than the price shown on that website)

🙏 going up for Catlover99 and their kitty. Will visit her thread tomorrow. I came here too late today.

Put this on your resume. Beacon and keeper of the lighthouse. Security fur guard and resolution specialist. Spirit lifter? Lol I love the super hero cat list! Lololololol
Oh Shucks, you just made me 😳. That is so sweet. I hope I am making a difference in their lives and making a meaningful impact around me. I hope all is well at Chez Catbird and especially with Banjo. Take care and have a good night.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I agree. How I wish this was a better world. Well, people's negativity or thoughtlessness isn't going to rain on my parade anymore. We need to keep doing what we know is right. So keep on keeping on. Hang tough 💪. I hope things get better for you.

I am putting this up for tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a great weeks so far. Take care.

These people don't just exist in films and in "bad neighborhoods" -- they can be in some of the "best" neighborhoods, where they have carte blanche. America, after all, loves its criminals. These don't seem to be criminal, just inconsiderate and self-absorbed. That's the culture here. Think the Kashtrashians. That's how these are.
I am sorry that you are dealing with these types of neighbors. I can fully understand, having to deal with the same kind of people too, both here in abroad and at my home country. I also usually end up having the worst neighbors ever. In my country I cannot complain, as I do not stay there for months in a row and if I make a fuss with the neighbors they may do something bad while my husband and I are away, with only my children and my dogs in the house.

Here in the country I work at I also have this neighbor who fights and parties all the time. They have no regard of the others living in the compound who are all working expats. Usually, these types of people only want to bother others, but do not want to be bothered.

So glad to hear that Graham is fully back to himself. Yay!:redheartpump::redheartpump::redheartpump:
Yes, me too! She worried me big time. :)

Yay! Graham, I love it when you tell us you are drop dead gorgeous! So is Bourbon!! Nothing is better than a beautiful view of a kitty. They are both very photogenic. Kisses sent back. Be prepared to be bowled over by a Clowder of kisses! Lol

Thank you. The only problem with capturing an image of Graham is she automatically usually "drops dead", so she has not much dramatic shots like that of Bourbon. LOL.
Lovely shot! :redheartpump: :hearthrob:
Thank you.

Thank you very much, too neely neely ! :heartshape:

N NY cat man Agreed. It is usually easier with kittens that have not experienced humans. But then there are cats like BJ. Lol Even Wanda Heart would have been considered past the age. Banjo and Whistle too. More is the pity. Imagine if we had missed getting to know any one of our kitties. :disappointed: That’s why we write here. To show others how great feral and rescued cats of all types and ages are and how much they contribute to our lives. It would certainly be our loss if we had not gotten to know them.

rubysmama rubysmama Yes. Many of the kitties are older. Getting Jazzy adopted was a challenge and the “feral” history often prevents shelters from taking a cat for adoption. I don’t know if anyone here remembers or read that I had to let someone come to “approve” cats for potential adoption. The cats did great! They showed their wonderful hearts and purrsonalities.:cloud9: I was so very relieved that others could see.
Full of grace lol. Graceful? Yes but in a cat way.

Frilly lilies. Thrilled by frilly lilies! Say that ten times fast!:p
That rose is so beautiful! It makes me think of Sarah. My Sarah rose has not bloomed yet. It has not been a great year for her garden since the person whacked so much down. The plant is still there so I am hoping it recovers. In the meantime, I will smile at your rose. Thank you!

tabbytom tabbytom Agreed! It’s beautiful. I bet is smells nice too!

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 She does play cello! The photo that cracks me up is the one where she smells her paw. Ack!

Furballsmom Furballsmom We’ll count on Mother Nature since she knows what she’s doing. I guess it takes time for things to cycle back to where they need to be but I do believe nature is often correcting imbalances. It’s her job!;)

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Maybe it makes them happy now but everything catches up. Partying hard takes a toll!
I know what you mean about reading the threads which is why I put prayer request here and then people can send good thoughts or prayers without having to read. As we know, it’s the thoughts that count along with prayers.

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose I think that positive attitude and a desire to help one another in that light is all it would take to change the world. We may have to do our share and the share others deny but it makes a difference. A difference in one life can carry through to many others. It’s that ripple effect. Of course you are making a difference and having an impact! No doubt about it.
Beautiful picture! Oh my. The kitty, the eyes, the butterflies! Lovely.

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote It is so difficult to have bad neighbors and especially if it could cause retribution if you speak up. I faced that here too. We are greatly tested by such things. I can hear distant music as I type. I have seen those who live that way, fall that way but it is hard to stay positive when it is infringing on our peace of mind. I think those people are trying to drown out their own thoughts? If only we could put purring in our ears and in their hearts! That would cure all ills.
Very glad to have you back on site! Dear Graham and Bourbon. Snuggles to them!

I keep posting about Graham and Bourbon, but here is my most timid, most well-behaved cat that he is often overlooked. He just comes to the kitchen when hungry, no sound, no fuss. Then goes back to sleep in one hidden corner, away from his other pesky siblings. LOL. Please also meet my good boy Barley:

And again, my 2 trouble-makers Graham and Bourbon:

Our smile post tonight? I can’t get my photos to load! :frustrated: Well, if one picture is worth a thousand words…. We’re in for a very long post!:flail:Okay. Maybe I better just save it for tomorrow? It is all about Mackie. Hmmmm. Oh. Banjo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:insertevillaugh::bicolorcat:
Tricky kitty! Where is she anyway? If I come up looking like Hek as a Dustbuster, you’ll know she was under the couch!

Prancer is much like Barley, in that she will come out to make the rounds of the house, and then retreat to her 'safe room' where she looks out the window and watches the world go by.
Some kitties prefer privacy. Lol Barley, you are gorgeous. Sending super gentle and private purrs to you! It’s okay Graham and Bourbon! You can still be in the spotlight. Lol Purrs to you both too.
Probably cats are mostly like humans too. Some value their privacy and prefers to be left alone, just like our Prancer and Barley. How cute. :redheartpump:

But Barley has an "attitude" too. he is not all gentle and holy. LOL. When he is not in the mood or when I am an hour or less late to feed them wet food, he takes a strong swipe at the bowl of kibbles and let it scatter on the kitchen floor, then wriggles his butt off and hide, satisfied with his tiny "revenge".

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote does Barley, --what a handsome boy!! have a little chin acne or something going on? Is he eating out of a plastic dish?

Jcatbird Jcatbird lol, I don't know if you remember, but there was an American television advertisement (I think that's where I saw this?) that utilized the phrase, "Don't Mess With Mother Nature"

Back at'cha Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose ! You are very strong and have a very good heart.
Maria Bayote Maria Bayote Barley is gorgeous! *But yeah, does he possibly have a little chin acne? Or does he just need a napkin after eating?*
Jcatbird Jcatbird Of course, agree on all! *PRAYERS continuing always, for ALL cats and all who care for them. That's my basic Prayer continually. My life IS my Prayer and that is my deepest desire.
You are so wise, my friend. Drowning out their own thoughts may well be the reason for the behavior. It's something I do most of the time, too, in staying busy, because when I have time to myself to reflect and think, my PTSD kicks in and it is not a pretty picture. But instead of partying, I work, seven days a week, a normal working day, plus, so I am applying myself to helping others instead of hurting others. And I do share that a lot, too, because I, too, was once a partier! and it never satisfied, never gave solace, only masked the pain and ended up adding to it. My most miserable time was when I was renting and landlord did not allow my cat, who my parents adopted. I was able to see her over there (here) but she was not with me. I filled the time I wasn't at my job with partying, loud music, wasting time. It got worse! and then, over time, I saw that it was hurting, not helping.
Hoping the pix load for you! Of course you know I love ALL cats, but I have to admit Big Mackie has a special place in my heart and let's just say "I'm lovin' him"! :redheartpump: :runningcat::redheartpump::heartshape:

no acne, he just tends to dirty himself after eating. And due to his coat color, it gets so obvious. He is not the neatest of cat. LOL. My husband wipes his face and chin daily.

No acne, but he is eating from a plastic dish. Is it bad? Oh dear....

should I switch to ceramic or stainless? They have a wide stainless plate for the kibbles only. But for wet food I use plastic bowls.

Could you try this :)? Ceramic, I think 🤔 would be better. His chin looks a bit bald/denuded of hair. Additionally, what if you raised his dish? A small sturdy box or a couple of books you don't care about (if there is such a thing lol). I don't know if this would help keeping his chin out of his food or not, but it may ... :crossfingers:

Besides, I can’t always be here and knowing that others carry on gives me great relief. You and all others have my gratitude.
Bless you :purr:
