Hello Jcatbird Jcatbird I hope your eyes are recovering well and you are feeling better. I am posting a lovely Peach Rose from one of my walks this week to cheer you up.

Post Tropical Ida hit my area hard. It was one of the worst, I have ever seen. Very deadly. Thankfully, we got through it and all the out door kitties are accounted for. Some were missing for a while. My heart goes out to all who didn't make it. It rained well over 3 inches just in one hour--another one for the record books. :eek2: Well, I just though I check in. I hope you and

Grateful *Prayers* for your continued safety, Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose - so glad to read you are all safe! I'm not posting to her until she comes back because I don't want her to be inundated with reading material. That's a gorgeous peach rose! We planted an apricot colored rose for our beloved Rojita, who was a vivid red tabby beauty. We lost her to Mast cell lymphoma when we lived in the Mojave. Right before we moved, it put out a tiny hot pink bloom. I believe it was a message from her to us.
One of my billion projects is to scan photos of so many of my beloveds, including Rojita.

Thank you tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 . I am hanging in there. Very sad over those who perished. ☹ RIP victims of this vicious post tropical storm.

Your roses are gorgeous!!! That's a great idea naming the rose bush after your deceased Kitty-- Rojita. Very sweet. Sorry that you lost her to cancer, I lost two of my kitties 6 months apart from different cancers. it was very heartbreaking. I would have taken the rose bud as a sign too. I heard people having special encounters with butterflies after the lost of a love one. My friend had one just days after her mom's funeral. She was in her backyard and a bunch of butterflies flew into her yard and perch themselves around her as she sat in her yard. She never seen so many butterflies at once. Once in awhile here you might see a butterfly in the spring or summer, but never a whole bunch. Anyway, she took it as a sign from God that she will be okay and that her mom is at peace.❤❤❤ That brings a smile to my face.🙂

We aren't there any more, because my ex dumped us so the house was sold. And the rose is not named after her, but it marks her resting place.
The first spring up there, I stood in the middle of the monarch (and other) butterfly migration! It was truly breathtaking.

Wanted to share some very cool birds from Instagram.
These birds are lovely!

I had the privilege of seeing Scarlet McCaws, Toucans, Blue Crowned Motmots snd many other wonderful birds in their natural habitat and they just belong in those amazing places. Hopefully we preserve their homes and them. Their habitats are being cleared in many areas so we must preserve them if possible. Good girl, Banjo, for posting for your Mom. And getting supper for her, and your fellow clowder family. Hope you all let your Mom get all the rest she needs. Tell her good luck on her next surgery.

Jcatbird Jcatbird : hugs and healing vibes for a speedy, and successful, recovery on your current, and next, surgery. 🤗 🤗 🤗

di and bob di and bob Well hi! We share the love of cats and plants!:) You have the vine too? Let me give you a couple more photos.

I did not buy mine. It is native here. We have lots of honeysuckles types here as well. The honeysuckle flower would be more trumpet or tubular shaped flower than this. If someone sent you this instead of honeysuckle then I would say you got a good deal! I can’t give honeysuckle away around here but the clematis is hard to find. Lol The red honeysuckle is sought after but not the white ones. Living where I do , honeysuckle can take over but the hummingbirds, butterflies and bees love it. They do love the little clematis too. Just don’t let any kitties eat it though. Not good for them.
I’d love pictures! We all love flowers and kitties around here so……photos if you can please. How long have you had your vine? Is it growing well? Sun or shade? I am hoping to move some of mine but I want to put it in a brighter place. I’m just afraid the sun here will cook it.

rubysmama rubysmama It was so nice of Banjo to help out. However, BBQ sauce on tuna? :barfgreen: That was actually something I had here for others and I can’t eat BBQ. Lol Shhh. Don’t tell Banjo but I slipped that out to Mr. Possum last night. I wonder if he liked it?
Thank you! I am healing. Seeing a bit better but must not strain my eyes yet. The first surgery should be pretty good by the time I get the second one. The second surgery must be fairly good by the following week so I can get my next eye treatment. Busy three weeks! Lol
BJ has been very aware of my medical issues. He is doing his best to heal me by laying on top of my head at every opportunity and purring. The cat in the hat has become my cat hat.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Thank you. Hanging in there. Just staying in low light right now. This too will pass.
Well stocked with tuna and leaving the can opener out for Banjo! Lol
Trying to get back in the swing of things but I will be back off after the next installment with my eye doc. In two weeks I will get a little break so I am looking forward to that. :woohoo:

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 Yoga for Gypsy! Is that “Downward facing Frog” position? I love the frogs! If Banjo sees those she’ll be coming for a visit and may be kissing the yoga instructors! Has Gypsy tested to see if she has a Prince or two there? She looks mighty happy!
It’s amazing to hear all the nature sounds there! It’s rich with life around there. Wonderful sounds.:redheartpump:

tabbytom tabbytom That is a gorgeous visitor that was flitting around dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 s house! I keep thinking I have seen one like that but cannot recall the name. The colors are so pretty.

Heh! The camera focused for me on the little clematis. I got lucky.

The kitties have been very attentive while I have been taking it easy. Cats are also great at amusing themselves. I noticed that there weren’t as many kitties laying around me and I got curious. I had heard some interesting noises last night too. What could they be doing?

I just ordered another Fragrant Cloud honeysuckle vine from gurneys this spring and it is a match for my others. I had three spots along a trellis now instead of two. It is in full sun on the south side of a metal garage so gets a lot of sun and is very hot. I have always loved all kinds of plants but get a little carried away. Since I am older now I try to stick with berms and bark mulched areas, to cut back on weeding time. I am starting over because we moved to the country last year. And lo and behold here comes a cat out of nowhere, and has 'gifted' me with two litters already this year and working on her third. Needless to say, I am going to be very busy and stressed this fall TNRing everyone! So yes, plants and cats are always a part of my life!

Not sure if this is a Hyacinth Macaw, but it might be. Like all parrot species, they are trafficked for the cage trade, so they are in great danger both of extinction and of cruelty by the traffickers to whom they represent profits and not amazing living beings. Many birds die in transit from their homes to the US and other places where people pay a lot of money for them and keep them imprisoned for life, often neglecting them when they become too difficult to handle, and feeding them improperly. *MUCH more than you wanted to know, I'm sure. But yes, a beautiful bird, especially in natural habitat!*
I love seeing the birds in the large flocks they live in without human interference. I've only seen videos.
