pearl99 Congratulations on the safe use of a power saw! That is a Banjo approved accomplishment. Lol She’s very good with tools and tells me how to do everything! ( or how I am doing it wrong.) Lol

I tell everyone that I rebuilt the cat room but mom tells everyone that she did it.

Here I am trying to teach the conversion to metcat. Approximately one cat leg per cat foot.

M maggiedemi Banjo may have gotten blamed at first but it didn’t fly. Lol I know Bonjure has a history of paper towel abuse. I will say that Banjo is so smart, she gets into things a lot. She could easily take over around here. Hmmmm. Come to think of it, she hasn’t said much about the run for President lately. Maybe I better keep a closer check on her. Being President would certainly keep her busy and that could be a very good thing! Paper towels for every cat!

Mamanyt1953 Bonnie has no idea he is a big kitty. Lol There IS a reason why Banjo gets my attention! Not that any of them don’t but with Banjo I have to be on my toes. While outside I was never able to touch her or trick her. I could convinced her siblings to come near and Cordial even allowed petting as I was used as a climbing post but Banjo watched and learned. Lol Let’s look back a bit. This is going to take me a while as I go back through her photos but everyone should understand that if Banjo seems to be up to something, she just might be! Who knows what thoughts are in the mind of a cat? Banjo in particular! She definitely has her opinions and unique interests. (I had to leave out far more than I could post!) If Banjo was in charge of our world, I have a feeling that we would all survive in comfort and laughter.
She has taught me a lot about cat speak!

I smiled several times at the pictures, some I've seen before, and others I think were new to me. One quick question - How old was Banjo when you rescued her? It's hard to tell from her first pic, but she doesn't seem to be a young kitten.

rubysmama I am posting early today because I need to get more chores done today. I am setting up something new. Nothing huge but small and helpful. It will take some rearranging. Lol

To answer your question, Banjo and Whistle were about 4 months old when I brought them in with siblings ,Cordial and Painter. I had worked to get them out from under a trailer and then over to a feral shelter but trust came for Banjo and Whistle later than the other two. The Carl Buddig ham is how I got them. I had to use four carriers at once and toss ham into the back of each one, closing doors as quickly as possible so as not to alarm the other kittens. It took several attempts before I got all four at once. Banjo was fast! She would dart out before the door shut, which meant, Whistle took his cue too. I took some screen shots from the video of the first day in the bathroom. They calmed pretty quickly but Whistle has that, suspicious Whistle look. lol The kitties decided to come in shortly before my birthday that year. The best gift ever!

Quite a difference from the days they spent under that trailer. I had to stay at a great distance in order to get these babies out to eat. They knew I was out there but hunger brought them out as long as I didn’t move a muscle. The food started out just at the exit they used because they wouldn’t go a step further.

I was so happy when I finally fpund their mom and was able to reunite them. Whistle helped to socialize Mitsy. Much, much later I got their dad,BJ. He was also glad to see his family again. I believe that BJ had guarded the kittens the whole time and that Mitsy had been coming late in the night to bring food. She was found several acres away and appeared to be leading predators away from the kittens. I was aware of the exact day she left and knew why. Feral moms and Dads are the best! All babies were well protected.

rubysmama I’m glad you enjoyed seeing a baby Banjo and Whistle. If I ever find a way to get video on here, they would really make you laugh. Especially when Whistle whistles. Wheeeeeeeeeeeee? Haaaaaaaaaaaam?
My new task isn’t strenuous. I just had to find what I needed and then where to put the parts. Lol

M maggiedemi Banjo is all for washing her cat bedding and all blankets and pillows. She says dryers are especially nice when washing clothes come out in Winter she’s including those. Vote for Banjo and all her representatives and ambassadors all over the world! All cats are party Clowder members. Lol

The cat in the photos with Banjo is Precious. Banjo is a brave girl to steal a mouse from Precious! Lol Of course, Banjo did hide when she thought Precious might have spotted her.

Here is what we have been up to! My alarms had been going off around the house so we reinforced with new alarms, locks and window brackets. It’s been quiet ever since. One last update? Kitty cameras! I already had audio monitors but now we have more sound and cameras. I can keep watch on any kitty that may need extra attention, like Wanda Heart as she heals from her Spay! I found a system that can do all sorts of things. Besides acting as security, I can use it with or without internet! I can also use it with or without a smart phone! I can record video through it or get screen shots! Furballsmom You’ll love this part. I can play music, nature sounds or a heartbeat through it too! We are just learning about all our options but the cats love it! It comes with a portable monitor and I can take it with me all over the property. It even has night vision. Yes! I sure could have used this three years ago! Very happy to have it now though.

Mom, I think that if I hold my tongue just right, the picture will come in better.
