Jcatbird Jcatbird Banjo is such a devoted beauty! And good on Flowers for taming her CATcus tendencies -- don't we know that every cat has an endless reservoir of love to give, given the opPURRtunity?;)
tabbytom tabbytom The stongest EQ I've experienced occurred last July 4th and even with all of the EQs I've been through this one was one for the books. And yes, when I was able to get up from the living room sofa, I looked into the dining room and the chandelier was swaying back and forth quite fiercely. SCARY.

tabbytom tabbytom The kitties are used to being prepared. They have been seeing rescues for their entire lives in most cases. Cats are so smart! They kept each other safe until I could help out. My little cat Scouts!

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 Good to see you! How is everyone there?
Spawn one! I laughed too!

rubysmama rubysmama You recognized Sherbie? Lol Very good since those boys are camera shy. That is his brother Cheetah. He’s the one with the interesting facial features. Here’s a little refresher on the spawn of Lady! Lol

Something has scared my ferals half to death. They still come to eat, but they wait until dark, and slip in one or two at a time. It breaks my heart, not seeing them out there waiting for me, but...they really are safer this way. I creep back to the dining room and look out the back door (full length glass, framed in wood), and have spotted everyone at one time or another over the past week. Little Bit no longer looks like she swallowed a cantaloupe, so there are kittens hidden somewhere!

HOWEVER, it is always wonderful to see pictures of your clowder, Jcatbird Jcatbird ! I have never seen a cat so frog-obsessed as Banjo is. Her relationship with Froggie, and all things frog, is really special!

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 This is the season for ferals to withdraw. Not necessarily something bad, just cat sense. They protect the kittens and each other from prying eyes. They come after dark because they are wise. I often had to stay in the mosquito filled darkness to track the kitties. Some nights I walked the swamp looking for cat sign. If I was out at certain times they allowed contact but missing that moment by being too early or too late meant that I had to wait until the next early morning or very late night. Some would come out to lay in the morning sun before the heat took the day. Around 9 or so. Little Bit will bring her babies in a few weeks when things are quiet outside. They are very, very smart kitties. Leave your scent for her babies to learn when they are learning the world. For now, the older ones are getting to know the frog princes around them. :lovecat4:🐸 Guardians are found in many places.:redheartpump:

I always scoop their food up with my hands, so that my scent is on the food! I think that really helps. Yes, they are getting dry food, but there is a good water supply near, so it isn't a critical as it could be, and...it's what fits the budget! And far, far better than what they could scrounge out of the dumpster!

I'll confess to cheating and checking the yearbook page. :catman:

Yes, they are Muffin brothers!
From the same litter?

I’m wild cat too Mom!
LOL

From left to right, Sherbie, Jeremiah and Cheetah.
I can't really see much difference between Jeremiah and Cheetah.

Lelia is still pretty obsessed with the turtle over here.
Lari Lari Lari Lari It kind of looks like the turtle likes her too! Prince in a shell? That is a super photo!! Looks like love on Lelia’s face to me!
I was thinking the same thing. Really cute pic, Lari Lari

Awww... sweet Mackie. Here's another joke for you, sweetie.

Q: What kind of shoes do mice wear?
A: Squeakers

Lari Lari , I also think Lelia and Sir Turtle are an "item"! and yes, that is a wonderful pic!
Jcatbird Jcatbird Lions and tigers, oh my! ;) and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who serves breakfast (or lunch or dinner) in bed  Sometimes all three want this, and they get it! Ditto with treats. It is THEIR home, after all , and I am the servant ready to do their bidding.

rubysmama rubysmama Sherbie, Jeremiah, Cheetah and Muffin were all from the same litter and are the babies that were trapped with their Mom, Lady, under that house. Muffin is a big girl and much larger than Lady but they are half the size of the boys. Lady is one of the smallest and most delicate of the kitties here. She and Mitsy are the smallest.

I pictured a mouse running quietly through the house wearing sneakers! :flail:

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Breakfast in bed happens here. :flail:Just not for me. The only down side is when Mackie pushes food off the plate. Ewww! I need to get him a breakfast tray. Lol

Oh, same here! I can't remember the last time I had breakfast in bed, though I always take my dinner tray in so I can watch TV with cats. I wouldn't want breakfast in bed as I can't stand being not cleaned up and in PJs except to actually sleep.

Breakfast in bed? The only one around here that gets that is Bashful, because otherwise the other cats will steal hers, even though they each have their own dish, and all get the same food. Something about the stolen fruit tasting sweeter?

I don’t think I have ever had breakfast in bed now that I think about it. Unless you include a hospital stay! Lol Not exactly a treat.
Stolen food must be sweeter because everyone around here likes to tak a nibble from other plates. But once again, not me!

N NY cat man I definitely have a sense of adventure. So...... do you recommend a specific flavor of cat food? Pate’ or gravy?? Ummm, wait. If I try to snitch treats, I think that will give the kitties the right to snitch off of my plate too. I think the hospital food was adventure anough. I’ll leave it at that for now.
