My post tonight ends totally well so don’t be put off or worried by the beginning. My guards cats keep me alerted to any little thing. NOT anything bad, just a concerned kitty. The foooding lately pushes the wildlife up to higher ground which means, they come to me. Lol

Froggie is still in hiding?

Then I’m back to Rubbit!

Rubbit, I need your help.

Let’s go over here.

Sit in the window with me and call Froggie.

He’s been gone too long.

Nope!

Come with me again!

I think you need to hide too!

Stay here Rubbit. I need to show mom.

Fix it now Mom!

I did but until morning, all Froggie remained hidden.

All frogs present and accounted for!

I spent the day building a high and inaccessible Froggie house.

Judging by the number of Froggies gathered....

I’d say they like the higher spot.

Froggie brought all his friends. Lol

Banjo sat in the chair to count frogs.

Froggie! I was worried!
3A9CFCB5-0EAF-499B-83C0-0AB8597A512E.jpeg

What did you do to keep this from happening again Mom?
CBE885ED-ACD3-4ED4-A66A-52DD6428786A.jpeg

Well, Banjo, I took the little snake and the Froggie house out front and I built him a shelter of his own. He is just a baby and needed a little help. He just needed a safe dry place.

The little guy is okay? He won’t make Froggie hide again will he?
AB648A50-5C70-4630-8868-23B87C6B545A.jpeg

Nope!
It’s all good now Banjo. Froggie is living in a high rise house now.

I must say, I was a bit surprised to have the little fellow looking in the back door at me! A beautiful little baby king snake. He’s actually protection for us here. Including Froggie. I know his Momma too!;) She is practically tame. Welcome little baby!

Have a great night everyone! :heartshape:

You do love language.
Yes, I do love my pretty words, don't I? ;)

Guardians are found in many places.:redheartpump:
We find guardians in our lives & we can also be one ourselves. Guardians for humans & animals.👍

Lelia is still pretty obsessed with the turtle over here.
I agree, that's a great pic. I wonder what they are thinking...

little baby king snake
Are those poisonous? :eek2:

I have a strong feeling it would completely beat the hospital food!
My hospital's food was actually really good. They had so many choices, and even vegetarian stuff. But I'm used to my mom's cooking, so I'm easy to please.

No, but they have been known to kill and eat poisonous snakes, along with rats, so they are beneficial.

Good on ya, tabbytom tabbytom !
King snakes are very good snakes. Thank you, Jcatbird Jcatbird , for being caring of him or her as well as Froggie Prince and fams! I really enjoy seeing the extended family all safe and paying Banjo a visit. I haven't ever known a Rubbit, but I did know a guy from South Africa whose given name was Robert--he did not like the American pronounciation of his name, so he went by Robit.

Furballsmom Furballsmom Yeah baby! Sweet little one!
Banjo just wasn’t going to let her Rubbit go investigating! Lol

tabbytom tabbytom :yess::woo::jump:
My last jump of the day is reserved for you! :bunnydance:🐸 Great news! Nice to hear that!

rubysmama rubysmama Now you know why I started the post with the “All is well!” Lol The forms gathered to celebrate the house warming. Lol
The little wiggle is relocated. No worries.

M maggiedemi I love what you said about us be finding guardians and being guardians ourselves for humans and animals! Purrfection with words! :hugs:
No worries about that little snake. It’s one of the good ones.
You had good hospital food? I’ve heard that some is good. Yay! I’m glad it was.

N NY cat man Those snakes are wonderful to have around. I have seen what they do and they are our guardians so M maggiedemi will like that kind! :) Thanks for letting everyone know that this is one to be honored.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I wish you could have seen the look the little one gave me! You would have loved it. A look of baby snake surprise but I think it realized I was not going to harm it. It has it’s own little refuge now.
This is my first Rubbit too. Lol I can’t say I have known a Robit either though.
The frog family sends peeps and songs.

I am doubly late with everything! Ack! It all started last night just before bed. My washing machine became sick. Yep! Water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink! I did have floating plates of cat food though! I was sleepy as I mopped for three or so hours! I think a couple of spots are still damp! I also had the cat box room flooded! This will take days to correct if not longer. Not to be outdone by a long night, today and tonight continued the effort! Lol I have unexpected company coming tomorrow! Have not seen them in years but fortunately, he is young, considerate and already mentioned visiting by talking on the phone as we see each other through the window! Damp floors won’t bother him at all! If only I could let him in to help! (Might be worth me and the kitties leaving! Lol )

The saga continues though..... tonight someone used my credit card number! Arrrraaaghh! The card is now cut up into little pieces. The company let me know and it’s okay on my end but really! They found a spot at a barstool and various other things on my number? I might sit on a stool but not at a bar. The card company obviously knows me well. If it isn’t cat food or bananas, it isn’t me!

Lastly though, I had a great talk with a Chewy employee earlier today!
ARE YOU THERE?
I certainly hope so!
CHEWY! I told the person I would do that so they would know I was referring to them. I got some very kind help there today and it was much appreciated. I think they were our only calm between storms today!
I told them all about TCS. ( I know, I tend to do that. Lol) I pointed out how great the site is and that if his beautiful Siamese/Himalayan kitty ever needs anything to please come here. I also mentioned the forums and suggested the photo and videos threads for a great laugh. Welcome!

Long day for me for but nothing new here unless we have a new human. Hoping!!
Except kitty silliness! Oh wait. That’s not new. Lol For our new visitor, if you are here, as I told you, this is a great place to get information or help with kitties.....

Okay everyone! After the last 36 hours the Clowder at Chez Catbird needs some rest! I think that Smokey has used up the flashlight batteries and all the paper towels during the washing machine fiasco.:sleepycat:Something tells me that she is ready for bed.

Yes! I jumped for joy too. I was just wondering when my laptop is done just yesterday and I got an email later and said it was done :hyper:

Oh dear, did the hose came loose? Do you have those mop that's sponge like that can soak up more water instead of those regular ones?

The saga continues though..... tonight someone used my credit card number! Arrrraaaghh!
Be careful, lots of scammers lately.

Hope you and the clowder got some well-deserved rest after your super late daily report. Also hope things are dull and boring today. We don't expect you to post about an adventure, every day, you know!!! Just sleeping kitties, and relaxing chez catbird humans is good. 🤗

Oh NOES! Flooding in the house is awful! All kinds of sympathy and empathy for you all, Jcatbird Jcatbird ! Hoping your visitor can and will help if needed. Considerate company is good.
On the reverse, I watered for the first time since last November, when the rainy season started. It was nice being out and visiting my plants in this way. They prefer the rain water, but I have to give them drinks from now through October to keep them happy and growing.
My ex transported a baby rattler from our driveway out to the undeveloped land nearby when we were in the Mojave. There are no snakes down here in la-la land except for the poor "pets" and of course, the human variety :hmmm: (LOTS of those).
Oh Banjo! A PURRformance artist, I see! :climbcat::clap:

Lelia is still pretty obsessed with the turtle over here.
And it seems to be quite mutual!

I don’t think I have ever had breakfast in bed now that I think about it. Unless you include a hospital stay! Lol Not exactly a treat.
Neither have I, come to think of it. Only during hospital stays. Cold oatmeal, dry toast and some yellow rubbery mass that claimed to be eggs...I beg to question that.

A beautiful little baby king snake. He’s actually protection for us here.
AWWWWWW! When my dad was very young, he lived on a ranch in Texas. My grandfather also had a general store there. They kept a king snake named Joe, who lived in a coffee can, in the store to keep rats, mice, and rattlesnakes out. Joe was a VERY valued member of their team!

tabbytom tabbytom How is your laptop? All mended I hope! I know it must be a relief to have it home again.

I pulled the washing machine out by myself today! Ugh! I expected a broken hose. Maybe that would have been good? I’m afraid it may be a gasket at the base of the tub! I wasn’t able to get to where the hose connects inside to the tub yet because of the exterior, but still going to see if I can fix it. I was just too tired to do more today since it ended up being litter box scrubbing day too. Lol A large number of the litter boxes got wet bottoms during the flood. Wet bottoms are not kitty approved. I still have some disinfectant left and with the back up of water from an unidentified source, I cleaned everything!

The scam seems to be limited on my end. The card company was right on it so I hope whoever did it gets caught. If they needed food it wouldn’t be as awful but a barstool? They also got TP! How can a crook get TP and I can’t? Inside information?

rubysmama rubysmama I know! A nice quiet snooze day! I didn’t have any adventures today unless you count scrubbing boxes or working on the washing machine. I also didn’t get to snooze yet but I know it’s coming soon! That would make for a very different post. Just an audio of 28 snoring creatures?:flail:I want to sleep through that! Lol

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 My visitor didn’t get here today. He is working on an island in the next state but he will try to make it here tomorrow. Hoping! I remember the day he was born and have always loved seeing him. It will be great to see him even if it is through a window! My very first view of him was through a window in the hospital nursery! Lol Like old times!

A baby rattler? I’m glad he got relocated. I prefer those to the human variety any day! Far less risky and easy to relocate! Lol

I know your plants appreciated the drink today. All the little bugs, lizards etc. too! I kind of enjoy watering the garden. It gives me time to see everything up close and sometimes I notice things I might have missed otherwise. Grow little flowers! I bet they’re all smiling now!

Furballsmom Furballsmom Thank you! It was very frustrating and it ate up my time too. Not to mention that it costs the card company or somebody! I suppose they write off a certain amount but it’s just so unfair!
No unhappy banana? That’s because bananas are so a peeling! :flail:(Thanks for that smile! Lol)
My card company was aware of the odd charges. I once evacuated and had to call them for every purchase. I didn’t mind it either. They noticed I wasn’t in my usual areas and they were keeping track of me as well as protecting me. Plus!

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 I agree! Lari Lari We hope to see more of Lelia and her friend! That reminded me of the relationship between Banjo and Froggie!

Mamanyt They had a king snake as protector? Awesome! I just can’t resist though, his name was Joe and he slept in a coffee can? Did he wander around the store? Get into all sorts of places? So, obviously I have to ask this, did anyone ever have a surprising ,” cup of Joe?”:p

:kitty: I am heading to bed here shortly but there is a GIANT mosquito in the house! He has landed all over me, but dodged every attempt to swat him. I’m convinced he is laughing as he makes me slap myself! Banjo! Call in the recruits! Lol

(Oh my gosh! I just noticed the winged bug above her in this photo! Yikes! No wonder the frog was right there! Mitsy tried to show me. Notice she is looking right at it and her silly human doesn’t see it! :paranoid: No worries though. I went back.)
