hi everyone,

My name is Tammy and I currently have 3 awesome meezers. Mama Mia (called mama or Mia), Finn, and Loki (or Floki).

Mia is a 10 year old Lilac point girl who I got as a 1.5 yr old retired breeder. The “breeder” I RESCUED her from had her house raided by the FBI 3 weeks after I got Mia because her boyfriend was involved in a massive child pornography ring. While there.. they found a room with 52 cats/kittens. They were all sick.. and taken away. Mia has had chronic sinus infections and difficulty breathing since.

This summer has been a rough one. One night Mia snuck out the door and took off. She was gone for 16 days. I was very lucky to find her but it had a big impact on her.

2 weeks later my 16 year old ragdoll collapsed one day. I took her to Emergency and she had severe anemia and cancer so I had to let her go, 5 days later I had a miscarriage, 2 weeks later my dog died of a massive heart Attack.

Mia was depressed so I decided to get a companion for her. She’s very motherly so I figured a kitten would be perfect. I spent a huge chunk of change at a great breeder on a chocolate point male baby, Finn.

She loves to love him.. but his kitten play became too much and she had her worst sinus flare up ever and spent 2 days in the hospital.

The only solution I could think of was another kitten to entertain Finn. So I found Loki.. who is just a month younger (he’s 4 mos, Finn is 5 mos). Loki is a seal point little boy. He’s quite petite but has a huge personality and is a huge cuddle bug.

Mia is growling and hissing at the kits all the time.. so I know she is stressed.. I’m just hoping it gets better as they get older.

Mia

A huge warm welcome to you, and WOW have you been through it, gracious sakes!!

Real quick as I know this isn't the forum for it but you deserve a helping hand --try music to relax them, classical harp music or George Handel compositions. Also

Hello and welcome to TCS. :wave2:

I "met" the beautiful Mia in the Contest - October Picture Of The Month: Cats Greeting thread, but it is great to "officially" meet her, and you, as well as the precious kittens, Finn and Loki. I hope in time all 3 of them become besties. :catrub:
I also hope they help your heart heal from your recent losses. :alright:

We have a Crossing the Bridge forum if you might like to post a tribute to your Ragdoll. RIP sweetie.

M MeezerMamaMia !

Welcome!

Don’t worry about the new kittens and the old kitty.

Just got me a new kitten and he turned the house upside down and they suffer him with grace.

Unless someone makes war, but cats are too laid back for that. Snoozing is so much better.

Soon enough the barbaric babies will be old too.
