I never found out ( to quote the indubitable bobkater) because we always sing it at night in silence.

If stop signs tell us to stop, what tells us to go?
A gem of an answer!

Our haste, of course.

Why is water wet?

Why ?

I think it's absurd when you are doing something very obvious and someone comes along to say " Hey whatya doin"?Like when your standing on a ladder painting your house or have a chainsaw in your hands cutting branches!!!!

If it was dry, it would stick in your throat.

OK, next question then:

If Santa’s sleigh is on the house, does it mean he got it for free?

No, it simply means their were toooo many free cookies and milk inside the house. (He couldn't get back up the chimney.)

There is an old proverb that says "everything in life needs a pinch of salt". Is that true?

It is, especially if you live in the sea.

When Rudolf went down in history, did he have to attend Summer school?

No, he lit the way for those that had to attend summer school. Thus he went down in history.

Aesop told many stories, was he crying wolf?

No, it just makes the world look better through the rose colored glass.

If white is all colors and black is the absence of color, then why are there gray areas?

Sorry I screwed up the flow of things. Last silly question was:

If white is all colors and black is the absence of color, then why are there gray areas?

Because some people are color-blind, others "see things", while others see things through rose-color spectacles, etc.
So, to reconcile for all those, gray areas are diplomatically employed.

Does “Oh, Oh, Oh” mean that Santa is walking backward?

It could and it would and possibly should mean that; but alas, Santa was just getting a peck on the cheek from Mrs. Claus.

If bruises are black and blue why does everyone think they are purple?

If a cat were to become an art critic, would it prefer abstract mouse-shaped masterpieces or impressionist yarn ball landscapes? And, more importantly, would it express its opinions with purrs, meows, or an avant-garde tail flick?

Guys, you have to answer the previous question before submitting yours. Silence may often be a wise answer, but doesn’t count as a silly one here. :p

If bruises are black and blue why does everyone think they are purple?
Black and blue are banal colors, not adequately depicting the dramatic “impact” of getting a bruise. Now, purple, crimson etc are much more “striking”.

As a practical and realistic art critic, a cat would prefer to first acquire the real-life experience of tasting a real mouse, and then depict it from memory – and in expectation of another one. And all this under the artistically inspiring influence of constant purring.
