That's so cute! :p

I used to hate those things as a kid but love them as an adult and buy them regularly. :yummy:

I just got back from picking up the traps. Please keep your fingers crossed for kittens to walk into them without hesitation tonight. I'm bringing out the big guns (canned sardines) so they can't say no.
Yeah, canned sardines are a definite kitten-getter! *PRAYERS* and best thoughts for them to come hither and accept help!

I love any kind of fruit. Except papayas (bad smell) and durian (even worse smell. If you don't know, trust me, you don't want to).

@jcat Hope it's cooled down over there and you've been able to open the windows again.
Graceful-Lily Graceful-Lily How goes the trapping?

Today is supposed to be sunny, low humidity and in the 70s. It actually feels cool out this morning. I can read on the deck and dry some laundry outside, love the smell. Hope you're all doing well.

I saw it yesterday, LTS3 LTS3 -- it looks amazing! Big fan of Mr. Fred Rogers and also of Tom Hanks. Also of positivity and inclusiveness and kindness and all the values Mr. Rogers and PBS have given so much of, to so many. Hope the film is extremely popular. We really need more like this.

LOOK AT THIS TEENY TINY LEEZRD!! SQUEEE!! Whew. Okay. I’ve pushed my inner child back inside.

But honestly, isn’t it a cutie? The Spouse spotted it on our morning walk. Thank goodness we didn’t step on it! It was about an inch and a half long, including its tail.

Me: “Well, hello there, you cutie!”

Baby leezrd: “What are you? You’re really big. And quit making those ridiculous high-pitched squeeing noises. I disapprove.” [Scuttles into a crack at the edge of the driveway.]

Clickety clack, one kitten in a trap.
Yippy yahoo, it's a dream come true.
Boy, oh boy, what a sight.
It sure does fill my heart with delight.

In my car and to the shelter she goes.
What happens next? I do not know.

:yess: :hyper::bliss:
Caught calico kitten and an adult cat.

I love his teeny toes, so adorable!

So beautiful yesterday. Sunny, low humidity, was able to eat brunch outside and hang some laundry out as well. The Vincie girl got to sleep for a bit under Harvey's deck step while I read.

Calico kitty was spayed today. Staff said she's very friendly and definitely adoptable. Only problem... She has milk in her glands which means kittens. So, she was given back to me and I had to release her so that she could look after them. Hoping she brings them to me when they're old enough to eat. Then, I can take all of them and find them loving homes.

Old Admiral Jellybean is being taken care of but he's in rough shape. Not eating or using the litter. But at least he has people looking after him. He deserves all the love and care in the world.

May you be blessed for your caring and your putting the caring into action for Old Admiral Jellybean and the calico beauty! A note, though: she will cease to lactate because she has been spayed. *PRAYERS* that her kittens will be able to eat solid food or at least "kitten glop" and that they present themselves to find safe haven and love.

I'm so sorry to be posting again but the sick van kitten I was hoping for showed up tonight and allowed me to get close to him! He's starving. I think the other cats faught with him for food so he stayed away for a while but he's back now and letting get close. Not that close of course. 5 - 6 feet apart at all times but he doesn't seem afraid of me.

Maybe you can feed him and stand close by so no one else eats his food?

Another nice day yesterday. Was able to sit out and read. My tomatoes are looking good. My Vincie girl went off on a adventure yesterday morning and I couldn't find her. I was frantic because of her deafness and poor vision.
Hannah was at the store and I looked for her for about a half hour but it's difficult for me to walk that long even with a cane. I finally called the police and they were going to look for her (small town, ha!), just as I was giving them a physical description of her she came walking up the deck steps. It was chilly yesterday morning and I think she may have found some sun in the neighbor's yard.

I was so relieved. She hasn't been sleeping very often underneath Harvey's deck steps, When it was so wicked hot last week I would only let her out for brief periods and she's gotten used to being in the ac.

She's been up this morning to eat wet food but went back to sleep and Big Cal is on the deck. Going to be nice again today.

My car had several hours worth of maintenance done on it yesterday. The dealership gave me a loaner car so I didn't have to sit there for 3 1/2 hours with 2 kids. That was fun to drive because it was the newer version of my car and it had all the bells and whistles. And when it was done it cost several hundred dollars less than expected. :woohoo::banana1::jive::banana2::dance::beerchug:

Mia6 Mia6 Sounds like a very friendly and helpful community where you live -- so glad all is well now!:yess:
MoochNNoodles MoochNNoodles Doesn't that feel fantastic? :yess:

Went on a supply run yesterday and got a lot of good bargains, delicious summer fruits etc. so I'm happy. And we're going to get an auto-delivery from Petco.com soon, which is THE most exciting thing in our lives :yess:. I also just ordered a few more T-shirts from Old Navy with Super Cash. And it's Friday. So all in all, we're having a very happy day.

Sounds like a nice day. Blueberry pie is always good!

Going to be sunny again today and my tomatoes are looking good. Callie is sleeping on the deck while it's cool and Vincie girl is upstairs sleeping.
I've got some good books on my tablet to read while I wait for he ones from the library to come in.
