Coffee and Tea Talk - 2023

I had to make the drive to my clinic for lab work this morning, and stopped on the way at an upscale grocery chain just to check out their coffee. Not only did they have the coffee brand I wanted to try, Peace Coffee, but it was self grind so I was able to buy just enough for a few pots. There is just nothing that smells as good as freshly ground coffee. I am really hoping it tastes as wonderful as it smells.

Not actual drinkable coffee, but pretty tasty if you’re on the run. Or if you’re not! A friend gave me a few pieces of this coffee candy at Christmas. We loved it so much that we might have gone just a bit overboard. I don’t like sweetener in my coffee, but I’m making an exception for these.

My usual, two cups of dark roast black coffee. We had heavy rain and thunderstorms today so it was nice to hold a warm cup of coffee.

Stopped at a local convenience store on the way to the vet and got a Vanilla Cappuccino. It was only $1.19! They had other fun sounding flavors, but they all sounded chocolatey, like cookies & cream, peppermint york, white chocolate.

2nd cup of the day was 1/4 Cup Rice Krispies Treats Liquid Creamer, 2TB Maxwell House International Hazelnut Cappuccino Powder, 2Tsp Maxwell House Decaf Instant Coffee, 1Tsp Vanilla Cinnamon Sugar, in a cup of Almond Breeze Original Sweetened Almondmilk.

Still staring at the box of tea k-cups. Continuing to resist. I did, however, put the jar of honey on the counter...

Been drinking this instant mocha flsvored stuff as my first cup to boost the weak cafeteria stuff they offer with breakfast here at this skilled nusingplace i got sent to for therapy on my leg.i need somecreal coffe with a kick to it been drinking 2 or 3 cups of this weak stuff to feel normal

Whenever I go to a restaurant that has weak coffee I call it dirty water.

I had another two cups of my dark roast black coffee today, not for the faint of heart.

Stewarts say they don't have cappuccino? That's what they said anyway, I haven't been inside to actually check. I'm going to try Mobil tomorrow. I think that's the last of the gas stations/convenience stores around here. There's one on the Rez that sells cappuccino and aged/sharp cheese, so I will definitely go back. I had already had Dunkin that day, plus one at home, so I didn't get one.

Read an article in today’s NY Times about the best instant coffees…gotta say it looks tempting after constantly cleaning my French press.

Went inside Mobil to see if they had cappuccino, but there was just a Dunkin inside there! So I got a small vanilla cappuccino. It was $4.19!!! That is highway robbery. The Deli I went to for a sammich for lunch had cappuccino for $1 something, so I will go back there another time.

The coffee maker adventures continue. Still not there quite yet, working on getting the right amount of grounds for coffee strength but taste test wise, I have had three brands for comparison. Keurig (opened a K cup), Peace coffee and the very inexpensive Essentials. So far the winner is the Essential brand.

1/4 Cup International Delight Cinnamon Churro Liquid Creamer, 1/4 Cup Maxwell House International Hazelnut Cappuccino Powder, 2Tsp Maxwell House Decaf instant coffee, in cup of Great Value Whole Milk. Finished up the Hazelnut. I like to experiment, but I really like vanilla best. It's too bad, because I like variety!

Dad likes to pick my coffee creamers out for me. I was picking out a bunch of new flavors. But he was over there grabbing bottles and putting them in the cart, saying "You need French Vanillla and you need Italian Sweet Cream."
