Welcome back, Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 . We missed you!

Don't know what I did, but my back is messed up again. I can barely move. My house is trashed because I'm not quick enough to stop the toddler from making the messes in the first place and I can't bend to clean them up. Cest la vie. I'm keeping the kids alive and the house can wait.

Welcome home, Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 ; we missed you so much. I'll give you a call later tonight.

A very strange thing happened to me today. I went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription for my husband. I'd been warned in advance (by the prescribing physician's office) that it was expensive, around $44 for a month's supply. I was prepared to pay that much, but expected that it would be less because we have GoodRx Gold and their coupons generally reduce the price considerably. But when I got to the pharmacy they told me it would be $285 for a month's supply! I told them there had to be something wrong; might it be the wrong drug? No, it was the correct drug, all right - they told me the trade name and I recognized it. To their credit they spent 10 minutes figuring it out, so I could get the lower price.

And here comes the weird part:
The reason the drug was so expensive was that they were giving me the generic version of it and applying the GoodRx Gold coupon. There is no GoodRx Gold coupon for the original version, the one with the original, trade name, but it costs $44 for a month's supply.

Something is very wrong when the generic version of a drug costs over 6 times as much as the official version.

its gotten very cold here and so i turned my heater back on to warm up
Ha, this weather is a lot of nonsense, isn't it? It was 90 degrees here on Monday! I've had the AC on for a couple of weeks. Now it's like 50 degrees and my house is already down to 68 so I'll probably have to put the heat back on. Darn weather can't make up its mind.

Feeling better now. Almost normal. My mom is doing better as well. Not sure how much longer we are supposed to stay indoors. Someone from public health was supposed to call and no one did.
I am glad you are feeling better. I have been thinking about you.. and your mom..

I am not sure about how long the isolation phase is, after the fever breaks.. I think it is 10 days? perhaps... I am ton sure.. You can always call your doctor for more information.

On an amusing side note, the vet techs have told me how sweet Lily has been when she’s had to see the vet without me in the room. I’m convinced they’re examining some other cat. :)
I've had the opposite experience. :paperbag: Apparently my sweet little cat hasn't been so sweet. Abby goes for a B-12 shot every three weeks, so we have been frequent visitors to the vet during the pandemic. I *thought* we had this down pat and were in a regular routine and comfortable with it. It started off with little comments from the techs saying Abby had been really good this time and didn't hiss, etc. In the back of my mind I always wondered what they meant because she is terrified at the vet and when she would be examined she would actually go stiff and stick her head into my armpit during the bulk of the exam.

A few months ago I felt Abby was off and mentioned it to the receptionist when I called and checked in. She had missed her box a few times and was off her food just a little. I just had a nagging feeling something wasn't right. I had also requested for them to clip her claws since she was there. The tech came out and got her and called me back right away, agreeing that she wasn't herself and wanted me to leave her for the vet to examine. Her reasoning? Abby allowed her to clip her claws all in one shot without a few breaks and didn't growl or swat at her like she usually does. :eek2: When the vet called me she confirmed that while Abby has not been a demon, she has not been a little angel and lets them know that she is not amused with being there. :cringe: I've been telling them all along what a sweet cat Abby is and they have probably been laughing at me.

AbbysMom AbbysMom Imagine, to my horror, when I took Artie for his first Internal Medicine Vet appointment.. He BIT the Tech!! It was in BOLD RED letters, at the beginning of his chart:
BEWARE, VICIOUS!! My baby!! OMG.....

I was so embarrassed. I really was.... My 'guy', whom I could do anything to.. was viscous at the Vets... I knew he could be a bit feisty with them, but........

Geoffrey, on the other hand, is the direct opposite.. He withdraws.. He is so frightened.

The other day, It was a covid type appointment~~ me waiting in car; he summoned enough courage to do a little "raar" at the Vet, when her back was turned. She told me it was the softest, squeakiest meow she has ever heard.. She said it was so sweet...
