The dress and heels are actually really pretty, though I'm not sure I could pull them off either!
And I'd need traction if I attempted those shoes!
I don’t know that I would last long in those shoes. Maybe long enough for a picture and not much else. I think I’ve only worn heels once since having kids. I was told you have to re-train your feet for it sometimes and I just don’t see the point in that. 🤪 Thankfully I don’t dress up often. Even jeans are fine at our church. I usually wore slacks with Clarks when I worked.

I could go shoe shopping right now though. My running shoes are a couple years old and I’ve replaced the insoles; but I think the soles are wearing down too. I need to try shoes on though; so for now they have to do. I did find cute cat print casual Bobs from Sketchers online this spring. Maybe it’ll be ok.

I wore kitten heels at my wedding, and even breaking them in a bit, my feet were killing me. I used to do okay with higher heels, but they were wedges and not stilettos. Teaching preschool, I always wanted flats if possible!

Maybe if I taught myself to wear them, I could rock them in the grocery store and reach more on the top shelf!

Have you thought about practicing haiku? It's a different form of poetry but can maybe break that block. Just a suggestion. I"m far from an expert on haiku. Maybe Norachan Norachan knows good resources as I'd love to learn it too. I'm not sure how on earth how to quote someone while editing. This is in response to
K Koveshnikov I'm so dense at times with technology. This post originally replied to Lari in response to her shoes although not sure how it did that as I was on the page before this so was trying to edit.

Oh gosh, not sure what is going on with my insurance, or really life in general. Everybody seems to be ghosting or lying to me instead of being honest, it feels like.

- Multiple people who are still listed on the site are claiming they do not accept it. My PCP that I asked months ago and received that answer was still listed today when I checked. The other therapist contacted today claimed that my insurance doesn't accept any private practices, which doesn't seem true. Insurance doesn't know what they are talking about and said they do accept my insurance, but maybe the therapist decided to stop using the insurance, but didn't update the insurance company.

- Another therapist I contacted e-mailed Monday morning said they only did in-person and was accepting new patients. She has not responded to my e-mail yet about what safety precautions she and her office building are taking. Not sure if I'd feel comfortable, but if she is my only option and is taking precautions....? Their psychology today page does say to ask about video and phone consultations and they do them....

- I confirmed with my insurance if my last therapist's claims were showing up and approved. They said yes. I'm calling back tomorrow to see what day they were approved to know if that therapist was telling me the truth or just wanted to ghost me since they never called back like they said they would after the claims were approved.

Struggling a lot tonight to say the least

It works if you don't have to edit a post. I sitll have no idea how I clicked reply to you but it quoted Mia instead. Oh well. Yea, I just signed up for a creative writing class from my county library. It's 6 weeks and the ending coincides with the start of NaNoWriMo. I still am learning Haiku. It's a hard form to learn, actually, if you do it in it's true form.

maybe you edited inside the quote? you can just write prosaic poetry, double lines, whatever you want, the main thing is to write ...

yes I know that. I've been doing NaNoWriMo for years. I was just offering a suggestion for those who want to write but not inspired or have writer's block. Sometimes, I find, learning a new form of poetry can break through that writers block, hence the suggestion.

Who knew that dehydration can cause a myriad of tooth and gum pain? Up all night with tooth pain, drank my water and as soon as I was re hydrated the pain was gone and the swelling as well as redness went away.

I just watched a movie called The Navigator: A Medieval Odyssey. I suppose a movie about the Black Death seemed appropriate 😔

I never trained mine to begin with. I was the bane of my mother's existence. Tomboy to the hilt. I have NEVER worn anything higher than a kitten heel, and never plan to! Well, my boot heels are higher (but not much), but they're clunky and SOLID!

My tiny town has gone from 4 virus cases to 61 in the last 6 weeks. It found us. I knew it was coming, if for no other reason that almost everyone here thought it just WOULD NOT.

usually a block occurs due to an imbalance of energy ... if you try to write perfectly in a new genre, a new block will follow ... so the goal should be something in which you will not strive for perfection :)
