I had an exciting day yesterday. I was able to help rescue not a cat, but a little Pomeranian puppy. He came barking at the door for help. He was soaking wet out in the cold & rain. Family members said- "He's not our problem, there's nothing we can do." I waited a few hours to see if his owners came looking for him, but he started playing in the road & cars were slamming on their breaks. So I called him back to me & went online to our town website to try to find some help. I found the number for a dog warden and he came & got him just before dark. I'm so glad I listened to my instincts/heart & helped the little guy get somewhere warm & dry.
Godspeed little fellow. I did the best I could with what I have. Wish I could have done more. ❤ 🐕

Good on you! It's the results that count, and you got results. At least the puppy is safe and dry, so you did your part.

M maggiedemi That’s awesome! You saved a life! You’re a puppy hero! Thank you for saving that little one! Hopefully the animal warden will post a found notice and find his family if he wasn’t dumped. We had a Pomeranian when I was young and he was a gentle sweet doggie. I know it’s hard to go against general opinions but following your heart meant you kept him from harm. :clap2::goldstar::heartshape:

tabbytom tabbytom That was hilarious!! Proof positive! I confronted Banjo with the evidence and will post it with our smiles for tonight. Thank you for the laughter!:flail:

rubysmama rubysmama The mug would be before 1990 I guess. Kliban did lots of cute cat cartoons. I remember one of that cat flying and wearing a red cape and another of a smiling cat wearing red tennis shoes. One of my favorites was a cat at the top of a Christmas tree. The treetop was bent over with the weight of a big kitty! The book “Cat” started a trend of cat books and of cats being popular with the public. A very good thing! I did post on the Question of the Day.

N NY cat man Very true! Good on her! Another life saved! The puppy is now dry, warm and away from cars.

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 The kitties certainly enjoyed those toys! The fun continued today. Lady has been going around the house calling and carrying a toy in her mouth. :flail: She’s kept me laughing all day. I tried to get a photo but every time I approached she would put the toy down. She acts like that are prey she caught!

We have more photos coming.

Muffin started the play this morning. This bag of toys has been a major hit here. I heard mysterious noises all through the night. A heard of horses were dashing around in the dark.

Thrasher greeted me with a mouse. That she placed on my slipper. Lol The funny thing is that it kind of matched my slipper.

Then it must have made my slipper catnip scented because after she reclaimed the mouse, Dolly tried to kill my slipper.

Muffin kept me amused by taking a mouse into her house and then ......

Throwing it out between the bars.

She spent the next ten minutes trying to reach through the bars to bat the mouse and..

Pull it back inside. Lol

It was a challenging game but when the mouse wouldn’t cooperate...

She left the cage to retrieve it before another cat could get it.

Then she spent another ten minutes chasing the mouse around the cage.

She finally killed the catnip mouse and buried it under her blanket. She would have dropped it in her water dish but that was already occupied by a mouse she must have deposited there last night. Wet bloated catnip! Ewwww!

I showed Banjo the pictures of her on the internet and of her using a catputer. At first when I asked her if that was her she just gave me a look of innocence. Who me?

But she gave herself away when she grinned and blushed.

I asked her to show Mom how to model with a pair of kitty socks I got for Christmas. She hesitated a moment but then obliged.

She showed me her model cattitude expression ( looks a lot like the expression used in the cat cave ad!) and then....

Claimed the socks! I suspect they are now under the sofa.

I’d like to see her bank statement! I wonder if she’s still planning on running for president? Raising money for her election fund? I feel very honored that she spent some of her hard earned cash on me for a gift!! Of course we all know that cats are very generous. :)

Have a great night everyone! The clowder sends a generous amount of purrs! :bicolorcat::purr:

I hadn't realized the mug was that old, but thinking about it more, that makes sense that it was probably an '80's gift.

This must be the tree pic you remember:

My grandma had a Pomeranian when I was a kid, so that's how I knew what kind of dog he was. He was a little cutie, I'm glad I went against my family and helped him. We have to look after God's creatures and do what we can. 🐈🐕🐔

Thrasher greeted me with a mouse. That she placed on my slipper.
When Maggie first came here, she snapped a real mouse in half and dropped it on my shoe! That's how much of a little devil she is. She would stand on a mouse and snap it in two! Horrifying. :devilish:

She showed me her model cattitude expression
Now I feel like I absolutely must get a pair of cat socks. Banjo sure is a good sales model.

I feel very honored that she spent some of her hard earned cash on me for a gift!
Hmmm...Demi & Maggie never buy me anything. Maybe Banjo can teach them?

rubysmama rubysmama That is the picture I love! I laugh every time I see it. The expression in the eyes! Lol Now it makes me think of Whistle. I’ve had cats do that to a tree. Funny picture!

M maggiedemi Snapped a mouse?!?!? Ewwww! It was nice if Maggie to hunt to feed you though. She knows that we aren’t the best hunters and she was doing the shopping for you. She may not have bought you anything but she did supply fresh food!!
I’ll get Banjo to tell her you would rather have a pair of socks! Lol I am glad you saved that Pom! A selfless deed can reward you with a very happy heart.

I started looking for my new socks today. I fully expected to find them under the sofa since I know Banjo likes to hide her favorite things there. Hmmmm. Not there. I decided to grab my phone as I went on the hunt. I started looking in her favorite places. I finally went to speak directly to Banjo.

Banjo, have you seen those cat socks?
Uh, why?
9852D2AB-0893-494F-991E-E3B1B19939C2.jpeg

I could help you look for them Mom.

There is something back here.....

Gee!! I’m good at helping , huh Mom?
Banjo! Did you take the car keys too?

Those are the car keys? No wonder my bed was so lumpy.

You should be more careful where you leave your stuff Mom!

Heh! I knew Banjo had been slipping out at night. That’s what I get for driving a Dodge Catavan!

I suppose next she’ll be buying herself a Catillac! I keep telling her that the Rabies lisense doesn’t mean she’s legal to drive.

Have a great night everyone! Watch out for Banjo on the road! :heartshape:🚐

rubysmama rubysmama :jawdrop:That is Banjo! Oh no! I guess there will be a ticket in the mail.
Okay. Need suggestions here. How do I explain that it was Banjo driving my van?:headscratch:
I wonder if she was speeding or just tail gating?

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 Banjo did make it home. It would have been great if she had put more gas in the tank. When I told her the tank was empty she said she just used some Frosted Flakes so I would have a tiger in my tank. Much better than having gas!

Hmmmm. My emojis are gone! Banjo!!!!!’
