Good Krista.“Not holding a grudge?”
She polished this in five minutes flat. Same portion or rabbit or turkey would take several trips over hours and still might not look this clean.

That sounds like a perfect hour. :-)
This is how I feel after that feed shift.
Walk in the door at 7. Prep and plate food for Krista at 7:05. She polished the plate. Pooped a box. Really polished the plate. Peed the other box. Settles into a groom. Look at watch. 7:15.
I finish up work. She is pacing the apartment. She’s still hungry. Finally peel away from TCS to come to front room.
“More food for me?”
“Uh...you did barf earlier so you’re down a meal. Don’t tell Daddy [me—like I’m also the good parent to go to when the bad one says no] but I’ll sneak you an extra quarter portion. You’re looking kinda skinny anyway.”
She polished off another 11 g (third portion rather than a quarter) and thankfully she already pooped and peed. She climbs onto bed, kneads and grooms the blanket. And finally, the peaceful furry cinnamon bun.
Looks at watch. 8:15.
This is pretty typical (minus the extra portion.). So much activity out of her every feed. I kind of hover (in earshot anyway) to make sure she has enough clean boxes if it’s going to be a three box night. (I still only have two.)
I got that plate and its sister from the thrift store down the street. I have two plates from that set. One is "working" (e.g. Krista is eating off of it) and the other is drying from being the working plate on the last shift. It's a pretty good system. And if we ever need to switch to another plate (or plates), I have a nearly endless supply just down the street for about 99 cents a plate. On a side note - Want-that-plate. Do you remember where you got it from?
She’s a good cat. I read a lot about a-hole cats. But she’s not one of them. She’s so sweet and forgiving of all I’ve put her through. That makes it all a lot easier. I don’t think I could put this much effort into an a-hole cat.
