Hello everyone,

I will be adopting a cat in the next 10 days and I am so excited! From doing some research I found this site and joined immediately. I've gathered my supplies so once I get the word that there is a cat available for me, we will be all set. I'm adopting a young, rescue cat. I will certainly be posting pictures.

Hey everyone,

I've been on here reporting on my cat-adopt search. Since I'm looking for an adult cat, I've looked at ads from individuals, as well as the shelters and rescue operations. Well, some person placed a bogus ad listing on Craigslist for a 1 year old cat, saying they were relocating. They sent me a video and essentially played with my emotions before pulling the ad down. You know what I mean? There was no cat to be had. Just someone being sadistic. Probably did it to a whole bunch of people. So know, of course, I don't want to look at private adoptions. The search continues....

Unfortunately there are plenty of nasty people like that about. Your cat is out there waiting for you and you will find him/her when the time is right. Opt for a shelter, just keep visiting and out of the blue you will find what your looking for. Good luck and keep us updated.

Ok, after missing out on 2 shelter adoption opportunities this morning, I will be meeting two felines tomorrow. Same shelter. Though I really want the young adult cat (2.5 years old, 8 lbs), the 6 month old kitten is the offspring of one of the cats I missed out on earlier. She is the spitting image of her mother. Which? LovelyStyle, I am so sorry to hear that. It never crossed my mind that someone would do something like that. I am sure you will soon give a good home to a real furr baby who needs your love and care. Best wishes!

You may have already read this, but if not, this might help:
A Kitten Or An Older Cat - Which Should You Adopt?

Good luck. Let us know things go. :catrub:
Hello everyone. I adopted the 2.5 year old female, above-pictured. Reportedly she came from a unpeaceful (violent?) home, separated from sibling and then she ended up at a kill shelter. She was rescued from there and spent 10 days at the shelter where I took custody last night. Whew. Poor thing.

Hi, LovelyStyle. You have a beautiful girl. I am glad you gave her a good home. What are you naming her?
