Every time I hear "Layla," I think about one of my favorite books. A guy has just seen his ex for the first time in 10 years. His brother asks if she still walks like she's listening to "Layla," and he replies, "Yeah, but now it's the acoustic version."

OK...

We did "Southbound," so let's get silly!

Page 68 is the Canada Day page and you have like eight songs per comment! A little overboard, there. :p The music is good, but I think that's why this page is taking so long (that and I don't have as much time to listen at the beginning of the week)

And because it's fits ...

Sorry - Justin Bieber (2015)

(btw, I've heard this song before, but did not know it was Justin Bieber )

Hey! It's a video about Banjo's froggie boyfriend !!! :redheartpump:

For anyone not familiar with the love story between Banjo and Froggie, the saga starts here: My Feral And Rescued Cats

Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do) - from movie Arthur - Christopher Cross (1981)

Ben - Michael Jackson (1972)
(written about a rat from the movie Willard: Ben (song) - Wikipedia)

Hmmm... 2 songs from movies. Maybe I should have saved them for when we do a "Movie Songs theme". Oh well, we can always post them again. ;)

So this thread is still super quiet. Hopefully September will bring a return of our missing regulars. :crossfingers:

rubysmama rubysmama :D No we know the name of Banjo’s Froggie Prince. Jeremiah!
Yup.

How about this version of Frankie and Johnny?
Oh, wow. Is that a young Johnny Cash? Don't think I've ever seen pics/vids of when he was young.

Tears For Fears - Mothers Talk (1985, new wave)
Haven't heard that song since probably 1985. ;)

Here's Bon Jovi's cover version of a part of Jumpin' Jack Flash, along with Start Me Up, from a 2008 Atlanta 2008 concert)
:banana1::banana2::bunnydance:

That's another possible future theme - cover songs. :musicnote:
