Well, I didn't plan to wait 3 years between either. God decided that . What is strange is that youngest was my last good egg. After he was born, I dumped the rest and never had a menstrual cycle after that! I was done with it by 33! :bunnydance: Luckily we only wanted 2.
I told my husband if our next is a boy, we could stop there and he comes back with "I was hoping to have a couple of sons," lol, easy for him to say. And we had a hard enough time picking one boy name.

I pointed out we could end up with three girls, and the clock was ticking.

But there are definitely more people not starting to have kids until their late 30s. My cousin had her first and only at 41. Another friend has 2 older girls (15 and 19) and 2 toddlers. The youngest was born on her 43rd birthday! I can’t imagine that! My FIL was 43 when DH was born. He’s still pretty active in spite of some health challenges. He’s just decades older than my parents! And closer to my grandparents in age I think. I never really considered his age until the last few years though. Probably because he just doesn’t act elderly.
Yeah, and I know people who have been older who have had perfectly healthy children (my best friend was a surprise when her siblings were like 16 and 14), but the risks go up. I'd like to be done before 40, but if I'm not, I don't think I want to go too far into that decade.

Lol, omg. Sparkle was going after Lelia because she's hangry, so Lelia jumps over the baby gate to get away from her and half lands on poor J. Scared the poor tyke for a minute as well as the cat (and me), but both seem perfectly recovered.

I had my first child at 39 and my second and last at 42. Both are healthy and were conceived normally. Now I’m 51 with an 11 and almost 9 year old. I don’t color my hair so it’s very noticeable I’ve many many grey hairs 60% brown and 40% grey, therefore people think and say I’m my kids grandma. I always very politely correct them but some feel horrible and others ask if they’re adopted or ridicule me for having IVF at such an old age. Some people have nerve.

Seriously! I do recall telling DH he has to push out the next one if we had any more after DS was born. ;)

 Wow. Just wow. Its probably too much to expect people to keep their opinions to themselves. :rolleyes3: I actually had a client concieve naturally at 57. She thought she was in menopause but her doctor discovered she was actually pregnant. She had several grandkids at this point. I don't know how her pregnancy turned out. But she's not the oldest to so...zip it people.

Gracie seems to think thunder comes from our ceiling fan. Had a thunderstorm earlier and a loud crack of thunder scared Gracie. She jumped and immediately looked at the ceiling fan like, Why did you do that??"

Took a 15 hour class and a 50 question test to become a Certified Property and Evidence Specialist. Pretty much all you get is the title and a certificate. Work is giving us a free day off once you present your certificate.

I was the first to finish the class, the first to pass the test, and got the highest score out of my coworkers. Yet they got their certificate months ago. Boss called and they had no record of me taking the class or test. Finally got it sorted out and said they'd be mailing out my certificate. Still no certificate. Boss called again and they apologized and said it would be in the mail shortly.

Checked my work email a little while ago and got an email about my certificate. They sent one to me electronically and said the real one will be arriving at work shortly. At least it's something, I guess.

I am emotional because that means I am getting older!! In my head, I am still 35. Not flipping 50 in a few weeks.
You and I will talk about this in 20 years, when you're the age I am now.

I don't plan on waiting three years, so I feel like it's going to be a few tough years with diapering, but it'll be done fairly quickly and I won't have to start again.
Mine were a year apart. The first four years were a little rough, although the older one pretty much potty-trained the younger one (#2 wanted to do whatever #1 was doing, which might have been either #1 OR #2, depending, if you see what I mean). HOWEVER, as much as my friends all felt sorry for me, once it was school time, and mine were going to all the same places, I got to feel sorry for them, with one kid having one activity on one side of town, and the next another on the OTHER side of town! And I got to feel sorry for them for a whole lot longer!

For months, there has been an owl in the woods behind our house. Always figured it was a barn owl because well... there are barns nearby. Decided to finally look online because of its unique sound. Turns out it's a barred owl.

The other day I got something in the mail; addressed to me, but it had one of those yellow stickers from USPS that they use when redirecting mail. It said “Unable to Forward/For Review.” :dunno:

I haven’t requested any changes. I am missing a letter from my 99 year old grandfather though! He sent me a little cash to take the kids for ice cream he said. He’s called me three times in the last week to see if I got it. I finally signed up for informed delivery on our mail. Someone at his assisted living addressed it for him.

I don’t know what to make if it. I haven’t heard back from the post office about my mail possibly being redirected. We’ve gotten mail addressed to DH and to us both; but not me. That might not be unusual. I’m tempted to mail myself something.

Sometimes letters go through forwarding for no reason, which of course slows them down quite a lot, and is very annoying. I know I didn't send them to forwarding, so they must be getting pulled at the plant, or something. I really don't know. Hopefully that's what happened to your grandpa's letter, too, and it'll still show up.

Thanks I hope that's all it is. My poor grandpa gets caught up in stuff like this and he's SO bothered since it's just not easy at his age. I hope it shows up soon for his sake as much as ours!

It's been a weird couple of weeks for me with issues like this. I've been a Proactiv customer for years and had a mini-freak out when I got a shipping notice that was WAY more expensive than usual. And then saw on BBB and Facebook that they are having all kinds of issues. My product finally came and I deffinitely got things I didn't order! Why would anyone order 3 tube of masks!? And because their website is +4 months into an overhaul; I can't see my history or my custom kit. When I chatted with their customer service... it was a bit frustrating. Now I get to return stuff. And cancel because I'm not really using it as much anyway. I can get it at Target if I need/want more in the future. :rolleyes2:

Doesn't Sophie look sweet and innocent here?

I keep two blankets on the couch that are on either side of where I sit. That's to keep the peace (yeah right). Both girls get mad if her sister is closer to me than she is. With the blankets set up like that, there's no arguing. Yeah right again. Earlier this evening, Sophie was napping under her recliner which is in the upper right of the pic. Lilith was snuggling with me on the blanket to my left. Sophie woke up and came by to see me. She jumped up onto the arm of the couch and saw her sister on my left. She pounced on her and chased her off the couch. They both went off and sulked for a few before Sophie came back over. She is on the blanket that's on my right. Lilith sulked in her tent for a while but did come back over to snuggle for a while after. There's no winning with cats.:dancingblackcat::dancingblackcat:
