Carrot was super needy today. He spent most of the time snuggling on my lap while I was working from home today. Now he is sitting on the arm of my chair.

I think he's feeling sick. He doesn't really seem quite himself today.

Look for "diabetic socks." So many of us have poor circulation in our legs that they make looser socks especially for us.

 Yep! That sounds about right.

There was more to the video that I didn't see at first, it started over for some reason when I was viewing it alone and I saw the full video when showing it to my husband. After the cat got settled (paw tucked under) with the teeny box the owner put down a bigger box. The cat jumped right up and got into that, though it turned out to be just a little tight.

It was cold this morning. Pumps got her puffs last night-just one puff- 5 breathes- then another 5. supposed to be 10 breathes each puff. She fought it a tad but I knew she would give in and she did.

She has a cold-poor girl is sneezing-added lysine this morning, eye ointment and her regular meds. She's such a good girl. I put her on my lap to do puffs and she hates being on laps but it's the best way I think-then she can't run away. This morning she got all 2 puffs. 10 breathes each. Getting better. Still wheezy and snotty. Washed her face as she had a huge booger on her left face from her eye.

The vet emailed back so I should get a phone call if they want to start antibiotics-she's eating but the smell out of her mouth is the same as when she had the last bacterial infection. I shut the vent in her room incase it's airborne. I vacuumed 4 rooms last night. 3 more to go. I was wheezy too. I admit I am bad about housecleaning. I hate dust. Detest it. My lungs hate it. New filter in my air cleaner too-it was full-and that's just during the summer without furnace running.

This morning Jon turned furnace on. 31 outside. She FINALLY is laying on those orthopads I bought from Chewy in September. Jon stuck his shirt in her house-the one he wore=because she wouldn't go in her house where I put the new pad. She finally went in there...I hope she likes it-it's supposed to be really soft for achy bones. The one on the floor in the library she wouldn't lay on until I put down my worn sweatshirt..so she likes the smell of us...I highly recommend those ortho pads-they are not cheap=but covered with a pillow case/t shirt they worth every penny. Tomorrow is Pumps shot of Adequan. I don't know if it's helping yet..she was horizontally scratching on the scratching post last night which is good.

I hope my girl isn't sick for a month. She always seems to get sick once or twice a year. usually it goes away but this time it's causing issues=wonder if we need to discontinue the pred if there's an infection..poor girl the pred def helps her arthritis.

I don't like diabetic socks-I hate nylon/polyester socks. I only wear merino wool. Those nylon socks cause my foot to sweat and move around in my boot. The merino wool works really good for my sweaty feet. I haven't worn cotton socks in YEARS. I like smart wool the best but since I am now bigger than ever it's been challenging to find a crew sock that's not tight...I am going to stop at the local shoe store next week and see if they have mens merino wool socks but those are so huge that the ankle part is up my leg so I try to buy proper fitting socks. I tried skinny thin socks and those cause more problems. Seems the snugger the fit the better=now to get rid of callouses. That's been an issue ever since I started wearing boots but like everything else-there's only 2 styles I can fit my foot into and allowed to wear at work....

having fun searching for bike clothing on various websites-getting colder so I need warm gear-at CHEAP prices. Bought 3 shirts on ebay- mens 2X. anyone here that size? one of them is huge big on me so I don't know what to do with it-the other two are big but comfy-they will be fine...so hard to find right size clothing-anything that's Asian sized I am a 6X or 7X...OMG. I found some mens bike shorts 3X that ARE close to that size...wearing today on bike ride

oh and have some minor things to check into for home repair-went onto home advisor-found a good plumber and maybe a new company to do my furnace bi yearly check. The company we normally use isn't as reliable as they used to be.

  10. I put one up last year "My All-Black Foster Cat Needs a New Home". I got a few responses all saying the same thing, either too far away or have too many cats already, that sort of thing. I also had posted quite a few pic which are still there. Lately Patrick has reverted a bit to his previous scaredy cat persona although not quite as much. He would make a good only cat or a home with a kitten, he does get along with other cats. I had him on my facebook page, no result at all.

Well, the new phone is here, charged and activated. Now I just have to figure out how to use it. As soon as I finish here, I"m going to download the Owner's Manual.

So today was just one of those sucky work days. I don't quite remember how I phrased it, but I said loudly "Thank god this day is over" or something like that.

The phone system broke somehow and the last few calls were pinging the overhead bell over and over and over since we couldn't pick up. I could take it off overhead for future calls, but that meant my relief was going to have to stay very close to the base, and you can't really work staying that close.

I didn't get anything done to completion. The tables I made perfect in the morning were trashed all to heck when I left. I only finished 3 of 5 baskets full of new product to put out. I maybe got ⅔ of existing product (returns, fitting room rejects, stuff found elsewhere) I sorted and hung put back on the floor. I had half a shopping cart of stuff not sorted. I was supposed to tag or salvage out part of the backlog, didn't get to more than two items.

And I got a mild fussing out for something I didn't even do. A coworker and I were at the fitting room together, she was closer to the actual rooms. Two women with a baby in a stroller came up, she started checking them in, so I didn't get involved. After all, she knows what's she's doing, she's experienced, and I don't want it to seem that I don't think she knows what she's doing, nor do I want the customers to think that. She put them in the same room, and very shortly after I got a radio call from Assets Protection (watching the cameras) telling me to watch for hand baskets and not let them in rooms, since those two women took one in full of cosmetics and he was sure they were hiding them. Me? She was the one to check them in. She could hear my radio and yet when I asked if they had a basket she said no, she didn't think so. I asked how many clothes they had, and all she was sure of was at least 10. Hard to do an accurate count out when you aren't sure what went in.

Thank goodness some thieves are easily intimidated. The one not pushing the stroller came out first...with a hand basket. She partially lifted the clothes out so I could count, I pretended to get flustered with the count and lifted them fully out, and only a cosmetics brush was in there. With my best Mom look I said "Didn't you have a lot of cosmetics going in?" She stumbled over her words when saying no, then she walked back into the room. When they came out, together, the one not pushing the stroller had a lot of cosmetics in her hands. And with all that, they forgot the basket and the cosmetics brush when they left. AP thanked me when they were just out of earshot.

If she had not been rattled, if she had said no and stuck with it, I couldn't have done anything more. AP probably could have, since they clearly had tape, and they were actually there which made a physical apprehension possible (AP isn't always on the clock). But I imagine that is always risky, especially with a baby in the middle of it. So they were probably very, very happy I rattled the women to the point they gave up trying to steal the cosmetics.

  17. My cats are weird. They are not interested in ANY box, no matter what size. They might look into it nad then they just alk away, the catnip banana or a crinkled piece of paper is more fun.

He's doing a lot better. He was looking scruffy and not so great yesterday, but today he's shiny, smooth, and a lot more active.

:hearthrob: Spot was the same last night. I hope you're doing better than I did at work last night.

I don't think Facebook is a good place to find adopters for cats. When we were still trying to get the kittens adopted out, IB put out pics of them on Facebook and an elderly woman decided she wanted to adopt the two boys. She lived a state over, drove down, got chest pains on the way, pulled into a hospital ER where they found a heart blockage--and then she put it to her entire Facebook Circle (or whatever Facebook calls people who are linked) that our cats were cursed and adopting them was tantamount to committing suicide. All I can say is good luck!

Maybe they knew you could handle it and your coworker couldn't. (Maybe.) :alright: I hope today is better for you than yesterday was.
