I'm so sorry for you and Sammy. :hugs: This breaks my heart..but it sounds like maybe the lasix is helping?I hope you guys have a good Thanksgiving together. Make some memories.
Thanks. It isn't easy. I'm exhausted physically & emotionally with everything going on. Between the vet visits, & doubling up clients this WK to fit everyone in around the holiday.
I'm hoping I can sleep in a little tommorow after I get up to feed Sammie. She finished her breakfast after I gave her a 1/4 cypro this afternoon, but not dinner. Thought maybe she wanted something else. (Today was phesant & sweet potato), so fixed her a Sheba salmon. She ate some, but barely half. Hopefully she'll finish it later.

I hope you guys have a nice Thanksgiving too. Kiss Honeybee for me!

Looks like my cat's x-ray when she had fluids in her chest, same side.

I think I have lost the count of the dranings so far done, how many times?
Did they do any lab test on that fluid (specific weight, cytology, and so on)?
It's been 4xs now. The first sat appt when ultrasound, xray, & everything was done.
Then that following wedns when asperation was done, last sat. & Yesterday.
I don't know details of testing done. Only what was on the biopsy report sheet.
I'm sure that kind of stuff was part of the testing. I do not know, or if it matters.
My vet is very good, & I'm sure if there were any issue with draining her too much, she would have warned & informed me. It's a cat only hospital. Other vets that don't have ultrasounds, etc.. send their patience there.
It's the best, as well as the staff there.
An ex/ friend of mine worked at another big vet hospital for 15 years, & I asked him about it, & he said he's seen cats have to be drained more than she has, and that pleuisy
Just meant chest pain. I'm more than sure that if there were any issue or concerns about it, she would have told me. She's the best vet I've experienced, & I trust them 150%.

Happy Thanksgiving Kelly, Sammie, & Family. :redheartpump::hugs:
Thank you! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!!! I really appreciate all of your support!

Hey love! Praying for you and your kitty! Hang in there.
Thank you SO much!!!

:grouphug2::grouphug2: To ALL of you!!!!! XO!!

Honeybee on my lap, music playing in background
Happy Thanksgiving Kelly and Sammy!
It sounds like you have a specialist for a vet with how thorough she has been. I would continue on. At least you know what you are dealing with. For now Sammy is OK and you guys get some more time together. We never know what the future holds. Best to hold on dearly to those you love and just spend time in the moment...easier said than done though. :hugs:

I completely agree!! :petcat::purr:
:heartshape:
.....and as for my vet.....definitely! I mean to call me in the middle of her moving day, and I found out from one of the receptionist that she had to put one of her kitties to sleep that morning. She said she was old, pretty much blind & deaf at this point, & showing signs of dementia, & just couldn't put her through the move, where nothing would be/ smell familiar, etc... So for her to still call me that day, in the midst of all she was dealing with. Then texting me back as soon as I text her yesterday w/ our appt update.
......I mean, she gets vet of a lifetime award, if you ask me!! :goldstar::bouquet: Seriously couldn't love her more!!!

Awww, thanks you guys. Just wanted to try & get a good picture of Sammie & I.
I have a couple of Angel & I, but hadn't been able to get a good one of Sammie & I, since she doesn't like to be held much, or for too long. I'll have to keep trying for more.
I think I like my hair better curly, but just had it done yesterday, so was blown out. ;)

Beautiful! You look great!

Proud, beautiful mama and baby boy! XOXOXOX
Thanks! I've gained a lot of weight in the past few years I'd like to loose!
.....after the holidays of course.

LOL, Sammie is a girl. When she first showed up, I thought she was male, I didn't know if she'd let me get a look, so when I took her to the vets, I found out she was a girl. Good thing her name was unisex!
Just changed the 'y" to the "ie."
Had she not already known her name, I might have changed it.

Funny, got it the other way around w/ Angel as well. I wasn't a kitty person yet, hadn't had one. Grew up w/ a female peek-a-boo poo, so a nuteted male cat looked like a female dog. Lol! His name however came as more of what he was to me, how & when he showed up.I wrote an article her about "how Angel adopted me" here a few years ago. :)

"I'll get it right next time around!" ;)

DOH! That's right - boy - I think I messed myself up. I read a post from a while back where - not this one - where Sammie was a boy. OPPS Bad girl I am. So sorry Sammie!!!

I did the same with my Braveheart - everyone though she was a boy and as she was very Brave - so she was named Braveheart. I never changed it after we found out she was a girl. The name suited her too much.

LOL @ I'll get it right next time round. I know the feeling!

Ahh to be a girl - the weight she comes - the weight she goes - our never ending companion! You still look great. :-)

Awww, lol, thanks you guys are so sweet!

I'd guess female by both those names, but I'm sure I'm wrong. Maybe Tawny is the boy & Feeby the girl?

I can't believe I thought I was going to have to say goodbye to her today. No way!
She's still her Normal self, still a little sassy,
"Grampa, put my chair in front of the door!"
"I wanna watch the birdies!"
She's doing great. Thank goodness she can't smell or tast the potassium in her food, so she gets it! I have to stop by & buy some today. I'm almost out of the sample they gave me.

I usually do not do the Black Friday thing...but I am headed to work this morning for a couple of hrs. & Target is on the way back, so I am stopping by there. Not really for Christmas shopping, but just my list if some stuff. Hopefully that crowd will have come & gone by then. Probably won't be till after 1:00.
