Nah; they are dwarf crocus, and tough little beasties. It was -15°C 2 nights ago, and they are still doing just fine.

Not to rain on anyone's parade or argue, but I've been raised not to believe in resorting to drugs or other stuff as we are calibrated perfectly and generally heal ourselves. I would never take probiotics. They throw everything out of whack.
The only flea stuff I would ever use is Advantage topical.

Not well:cats puking, not eating, possible bad food, possible flea infestion check out past recent posts. Prayers and wishes for Banjo needed ASAP.

Vomiting seems to have stopped by changing to pate. I got new fleas meds from the vet since the other seems to have lost it’s effectiveness. Not thrilled about changing but we live in a place where control is a must. I took Banjo her other blanket after rubbing it all over her brother for that comfort scent.
She is to remain at the vet another night. Thank you all for the prayers. Please continue them.

Jcatbird I have been praying and will continue to do so. Cats not only have nine lives but they are tough and resilient. I have had cats get very sick and they bounced back in the most amazing way. I have also seen it with the outdoor kitties. I am so happy to hear that Banjo is keeping down her food. That is a good sign. I hope she continues to improve and also that you know for sure what made her sick in the first place. All the best to you, Banjo and the rest of the Clowder.

I am on a limited income but have managed to rescue and rehome 32 cats. I ask everyone I meet if they know anyone who will give a fur ever home. The vet, the post man, the grocer, my doctor, nurse, tax preparer and contact every rescue group in this state and those nearby. I still have more to go but getting there.

These cats were being shot, burned, tortured and abuse. I gained their trust, started feeding them and one by one brought them in to calm them for adoption and vet care. It is a long and pricey process but some shelters offer discount vet services, spay/neuter and immunization. Go online. Network!

Many pet food and pet supply companies will send you coupons if you contact them. I called. DON'T give up. If you are a cat guardian you're a kitty hero! Try to get them homes. I am still trying to get some Savannah cats, a Blue Smoke, Calico, Marbled Tabby, Gold tabbies, Grey tabbies etc. adopted. I won't give up either. 32 have been saved I am amazed but it tells me the possibility to get all adopted is there. Don't give up! Kitty Kudos to you! Look around you. Someone you cross paths with is looking for a nice kitty. Maybe someone on this site!!!

Do not listen to negative comments. You are doing the right thing. If you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem. I rarely have time to post but wanted to reply to all of you. Keep your chin up.

Kudos to you! You're a wonderful person to be such a good influence on their lives. You made a huge difference for those cats and I'm sure they love you for it.

Wow Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose listeria is serious stuff! Glad you got over it back then.
I agree with no bagged veggie stuff. Plus, with buying the unpackaged stuff it saves a plastic bag from the trash/environment.

Thank you. The people that get the hardest by Listeria are pregnant women, the elderly, and those who are immune compromised. Thankfully, I didn't fit those categories. It was no picnic though, but I bounced back the next morning. I am a firm believer in probiotics. I had a bad situation years ago where strong antibiotics totally messed up my gut and since them I eat yougert, drink Kefir and take the supplements. Since 70 percent of your immune health stems from the gut, I take probiotics for immune health as well. I am going to restart my garden if I can, it is too much of a gamble these days buying food. Too many recalls.

Okay. I write for many reasons. One is to provide smiles and the other is to share what I learn as I go. Here is where we are with Banjo. The first enema did not work. A second one did work but, some sort of mass is in her colon. We do NOT know yet what it is but timing is everything. Because we started on Banjo on Sunday, she just happens to be where she needs to be to be seen by a specialist who does internal medicine and can do an ultrasound on her tomorrow. This specialist may aspirate the mass to learn more and make Banjo more comfortable if it is causing her any difficulty. Apparently this specialist is very intrigued with Banjo and has heard of her story and of the kitties here. This is the best news because I know she will go the extra mile yo take care of Banjo for us.Our vet had planned to try and do something for Banjo herself but she called me after doing much research and calling many specialist and when she called she said she had ,” good news!” This specialist travels a lot doing this kind of work but will be there for Banjo tomorrow. Thank you to everyone for all the hopes and prayers. They must have touched this person and all the people who are taking care of Banjo.
I took the spare Banjo unicorn blanket and rubbed it all over Whistle this afternoon and then delivered it to the vet. Tonight Banjo has a little Whistle in her dreams as she sleeps on her blanket.
BTW, Whistle was a little confused about why I kept rubbing him all over with a blanket. At first he dodged me but then he decided it felt pretty good and was worth tolerating. Lol Good boy Whistle! Please continue the prayers. They must be working. Thank you yo everyone here!It helps a lot to know that everyone is here. No dim thoughts , Just waiting.

I love seeing breakthroughs and answered prayers. I am so happy to hear about this specialist. I hope she finds out for sure what is going on with Banjo and gets her back to being healthy. Thank you for sharing the good news. It has brought a smile to my face.
