Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose beautiful, thank you for sharing! 🌸
I am so glad so many here enjoyed the pics.

Thanks for your kind words and advice about my walks. I love walking, so it is not stressful for me. I could probably walk for miles and miles and would love every minute of it. Good overall exercise 💕💕💕

The kitties got some time in the cat room during the day today while I worked in some things in there. Our smile comes from watching the eye of the cat. Mackie.
I see movement out there.

tabbytom tabbytom Oh my! Spectacular Grammatophyllum! I’m not surprised it got awarded! Those are a challenge to grow and some can take up huge amounts of space! Those are perfect flowers too! Ahhhhh. Orchids! Some of nature’s most amazing flowers. I have always said that if roses are the queens of flowers, orchids must be kings. Thank you, thank you! A Purrfect end to a day. Cats, smiles and orchids.

On my 'Walkies Welcome, Photos And More, With Or Without Leashes' thread poor AmandaRox AmandaRox posted photos of wounds received while rescuing the neighbors doggo from cat Rox who attacked doggo after the bunny that Rox chased into the yard bit him (Rox). Only damage was done to human. Moral of the story... don't drop the leash when tying your shoe. Another post shows Rox leaping like a bunny through tall brush, very cool photos.
Gypsy in her new harness on a Sunday stroll.

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 Beautiful Gypsy! And thanks for that story -- always glad to hear of cats putting (dogs) in their place!
tabbytom tabbytom Beautiful orchids! Thanks for sharing those with Jcatbird and all of us!
Jcatbird Jcatbird Ah, Big Mackie -- a lizard dragon! We love lizards here. That is a very SMALL dragon. And since (s)he is outside, you do not have to have concern. Kodiak, you are safe, too! :yess: :winkcat::winkcat:🦎

Oh yes! Mugging is yours. You don’t really think I could get her on a plane?
No thanks. I want a Muffin, not a Mugging.

There is the added element of:bicolorcat:
Banjo gets blamed for everything! If I were her, I would be boarding a plane to come visit me ASAP. ✈

Ally is the way it is with the vet but I had spelled it Alley originally. Alley/Ally spells it Allie. She wants it spelled similar to her BFF
Now I'm even more confused. :headscratch:

You told him you were cold and he said to get a dog?!?!?
Yes! I told him I was cold and he said "Dogs are warm. You should get a dog." 😭

Mackie is easy. He is always laughing and he’s huge.
Is Mackie a Bengal? :bluecat:

If you were around them, it would be much easier.
I see what you're doing. You're just trying to get me to come visit! Very subtle... ;)

all in a pile, it’s not easy to tell where one cat starts or ends.
Sounds like heaven. :cloud9:

Wait...What?....The bunny bit the cat, then the cat bit the dog, then the dog bit the human? 🤔

tabbytom tabbytom That’s a very leopard looking flower. I love the color and markings. It’s hard to beat the exotic blooms of an orchid!

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 The orchids usually sold in the stores these days are mass produced. Cloning and meristems make them widely available. I feel sorry for the ones that linger in the stores too. The large producers dump them by the ton these days. That kind is considered ,” disposable.” Sad to say. I don’t buy disposable ones either. Smaller companies sell and give support to people who don’t want disposable plants. I taught orchid growing classes ,for free, to combat that marketing practice. They are all beautiful.
I posted to AmandaRox AmandaRox I hope she is okay! Quite an experience!
Gypsy looks so beautiful on her Sunday stroll! The new harness looks like a really safe one! It fits great! Very complimentary color too.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Mackie is such a joker. He put up such an excited guys he fooled Kodiak and ME! I thought he was seeing something more threatening than a baby dragon. Kodiak ran but normally we all enjoy watching the lizards. Mackie got a good fur belly laugh out of that one! He tells me he called us to be sure we were safe because he doesn’t speak lizard but he told me ,” I guana learn!”

M maggiedemi Mugging!!’:flail: Well, One more typo for the list! Maybe if Muffin came on a plane you would be mugging for the camera in selfies? Banjo gets the blame? Naaaah. Banjo would never do anything she isn’t supposed to do! Just watch when I ask her brother tonight!

Banjo says she will fly if I let her have her own plane.

Confused about Allie? Lol Spell it any way you like as liking as you pronounce it Alley.

Dogs are warm, not so sure about that guy! Maybe he thinks of himself as a real hound dog?;)

Mackie is not a Bengal but honestly he could have any genes in his background. He is huge. He came along before that African cat was known to be loose in the area but Bengals being bred nearby. He did come along just before I rescued a Tonkinese. That Tonkinese has a personality that is so much like Mackie that we have all wondered if they are related. There were Siamese , Maine Coons and every color you ever imagined around too. No telling!
He tells me he is full blooded Mackie!

Maybe not so subtle. Lol

The bunny bit the cat! No wonder Whistle is scared of big ears!

tabbytom tabbytom That’s why I was saying they are a challenge to grow and take up a lot of space. The bloom stems need a lot of room to develop. There are other types of orchids that take a lot of room for blooming. Schomburgkias have very long bloom stems with flowers that are set several feet away from the plant. I had one bloom last year but I don’t think I showed how long the bloom stem was. It wasn’t one of the longest in the species but it was impressive. Orchids are very diverse in their bloom habits. One of my very favorite types has to be grown in slatted baskets if you want to see them flower because the flowers emerge from the underside of the plant and the stems go straight down! Stanhopeas are large flowers and nicely scented but hang under the plant. Lol Very unique family of plants. I will always be fascinated by them. Some can bloom for only a day while others can bloom sequentially for months on end.

Yes, I realized that too. They need personal spaces to grow well but this Grammatophyllum Orchid is huge and it take up lots of space. That's why orchids are always hung up or stand on racks above ground in the nurseries.

Orchids are hardy plants and they can last indoors for a good period of time but if left outdoors, best to have good sunlight and pot drainage. I'm not an orchid expert....................

Human dropped leash while tying shoe, cat chased bunny into doggos yard, bunny bit cat, cat attacked (very mellow and friendly) doggo who was minding his own business in his own yard, cat damaged human who was rescuing dog from cat attack. Bunny fine, dog fine, cat to vet (Rox just lost patch of fur), human only casuality.

Whistle, you look guilty around the chops. And Banjo, you look like his accomplice. Just sayin'...But Jcatbird Jcatbird , you know about boys wanting to take joyrides, right? and of course the girls will be there, either beside them as partners in crime, or watching to cheer them on (and plead ignorance if they get nabbed by the hooman!) so it's all in a day's adventures at Chez Catbird, right?:devilcat2::lovecat4::insertevillaugh:
