maggiedemi , I've never heard of it until now! I assume it means more of a blonde/lighter tortie (so yes, like a Dilute Tortie, perhaps)?Their colors are so beautiful! I'm obsessed with Torties. Please share as many pics of them as you can.
Ha! That sounds just like Maggie, but she's not a Tortie. She has punched all 3 humans, her brother Demi, a couple chickens, several neighbor cats....
What is a Mellow Tortie? Is that similar to a Dilute Tortie?
Torties, tabbies, dilute or calico, identification varies in some locations. I’ll post a link to one ID guide on cat colors and patterns but opinions are not always the same. By any other name, they are wonderful! Maybe we should ask a cat! Lolmaggiedemi , I've never heard of it until now! hahaha Maggie sounds like my Bella! She used to beat up all of the neighborhood cats and never let any cats get away with being on her territory.
She takes after me! That's my girl.My Muffin is very sweet but also has strong opinions.
Ha! You make the best typos. They end up being new word creations.I guess another typo will be a new term. Cato rude for Torties! I meant to type catitude!
I was thinking that if Maggie & Demi are siblings, then their mama feral must have been a calico or tortie! She would need both orange and black in her. The only cat with those colors is Tortie or Calico.Maggie ! Lol That cat is part boxer! Perhaps some Tortie ancestors?
My childhood Calico was pretty mellow. I don't remember any attitude from her ever, but she lived outside her entire life.dilute in a different way. Diluted attitude.
The love story continues. Banjo looks so precious. You should have this featured on The DoDo. I love it!Speaking of books....The next chapter about Banjo and Froggie.
We left Banjo last night as she waited for Froggie.

Banjo and a singing frog. Lol Beautiful music together?
Digger as well as all other cats with calico coloring and tabby patterns are referred as Tabby Calico (or vice versa) or Tabico for short. Digger is a pretty girl. I have had a few Tabicos in my colony as well. They are not that uncommon. I love the combination, it's interesting. When I see all these descriptives of cat colors and patterns, those using them might as well be speaking Urdu, at least as far as I am concerned. For example, Digger is basically a gray/black tabby, but she also has the orange and white from her mother, as you can seeView attachment 356849So how to describe her? She surely isn't a calico, nor yet a tortie; ah, the heck with it. She's ours, and that's all that matters.
You iz FORGIBBEN! Lubs. Hekitty.
I loved Rainbow Brite as a kid!Muffin and the rainbow brite girls send purrs.
I think it was one with a dirty double meaning. There was another one that made you laugh but I can remember what it was
Yes, cats get their color from their mother. I think gray is considered a form of black. So a mother with gray or black could pass on either of those colors.Cat color, pattern genetics are pretty interesting.
Oh, I don't think I ever saw a Tabico! Such an unusual pretty combo.Digger is basically a gray/black tabby, but she also has the orange and white
