A frog can croak every night!
Ahahahahahahaha!
Ha! That was a good one. Better tell that one to Mack.

You guys are rubbing off on me. I saved a moth this morning! It was trapped between the screen and the crank out window. Dad must have trapped him in there when he closed it last night. It was flapping its wings so hard! I felt so bad for it. It totally relaxed when I cranked the window open and saved it. I felt so proud!

It’s been raining cat and frogs here today!

They may be inside kitties but some feral instincts are still intact.

When it’s wet, go up high.

Ummmmm. I’m not sure if Smokey understands the whole concept of blowing over spitting. Hopefully she didn’t add anything to that rain. 🌬🌧💦

You guys are rubbing off on me. I saved a moth this morning!
And I saved a wasp earlier in the week. It was flying around the house and I caught it in a small container with a screw cover, and released it outside. It was more painless for both of us than the time I had to kill one to keep Ruby from catching it. I may have told this story before, but when I went to remove it using some paper, I got stung! Apparently dead wasps still have a stinger, though not sure if there's any venom. It broke the skin though, and bled. So definitely do not recommend killing then touching a dead wasp.

Loved the pics and captions for BJ and Kodiak. :redheartpump:

Good on ya for catching and releasing that wasp, rubysmama rubysmama ! They have a place in nature and they don't want to harm humans -- they want to avoid them!
I found a scarab floating in one of the water dishes this morning, so took the bowl out and dumped it, righting him or her out in the garden to continue living in a more conducive manner.

rubysmama rubysmama I’m sure the little wasp was very relieved to escape. I use jars with lids too. I’m glad that neither you nor Ruby were stung. A wasp sting really hurts. That rescued one may reward you with seeds for next year by pollinating a nice flower. Perhaps it is the pollinator of a Lady slipper!

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 It looks like we are having some very lucky bugs lately! I don’t know why it happens so much but I often find beetles in water. I always get them out too. Poor little guys!

I was going through some books today and this old photo fell out. Verrrry old. It’s
a little over exposed but it was back when I was learning about photography. It’s a white Dendrobium orchid and a cat Staute my brother gave me. Lots of fern in the background. Lol

I think Banjo May be expecting something from Froggie. I wonder where she got that idea? ;)

(Maybe I can help Froggie out with the corsage. Lol) In Banjo’s case, I guess it needs to be a wrist corsage!

Have a great night everyone! :heartshape:

That's a coincidence as we are quite on the topic of orchids lately

Even more of a coincidence because it combined a cat figure with the orchids. The photo is several decades old and I had no idea it still existed. Apparently I had used it as a bookmark in a book that belonged to my daughter. She has also been a topic recently. Life can bring funny little things at any moment. I was actually in a bit of a rush when it dropped out of the book I was packing away, yet I flipped it over to see what it was. Lol :dunno::lol: I love these little odd things in life.

Beautiful cat figurine and orchids -- and beautiful Banjo & Froggie Prince! Yes, those beetles do love water -- another name for them is water beetles, because of that...

tabbytom tabbytom I did flip more books today. Lol No cash but did find some trash! I also found two postcards from Chicoteague/Assoteague island Virginia. I had family from there and they were involved with working to preserve the wild ponies there. I’m not sure but I think the last family homesite was finally turned over as part of the wildlife refuge when I was a girl. I had always wished to go live where the ponies lived but if they are safe, I’m happy. The postcards depict part of the herd and one depicts “Cloudy” son of “Little Wisp.” He was the first Grandson of Misty ,of book fame. It says he was born April 18th , 1964. He doesn’t have the spotting of his coat but is a soft gold with lighter mane. Beautiful! Another nice surprise. It wasn’t money but it was gold! I don’t know if I can post a picture of these? Apparently this pony lived at Clark’s corner, Chincoteague, Virginia. Perhaps that lineage continues. Definitely feral ponies on the island.

M maggiedemi You never know what may turn up. It pays to look and hope. Perhaps you’ll get a surprise of some sort soon.

As tabbytom tabbytom said, you may have forgotten something that was put away.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I still have that cat firgurine! I like it.
I have always been fond of beetles. The scarab type do get in the dishes I leave for wildlife but I check regularly. As a child I loved the kind of water beetle that has those little oar shaped legs! Paddle bugs! Lol Row, row, row your bug!

( spell check must not like bugs! It keeps turning them into bigs! :flail:)

Some old postcards or photos are treasure as we cannot relive them. I guess you can post them here as this is your thread and we've been posting photos other than cats :paperbag:

Lady decided she wanted a late night stroll. Then she changed her mind. She got scared when she stepped on a stick and thought it was a snake. She has very good springs in all four feet! I know that she got startled but I am always amazed and amused when a cat shoots straight up into the air! Of course, I immediately reassured her. Never let a cat see you laugh when they have gotten scared. It’s not acceptable behavior from a human.

Just walking in the same garden spot she always walks. Nothing new.

Perhaps hoping for a bug to chase. And then it happens. Too fast to be caught on camera!

Lady kept in the door and then swatted BJ. I guess it is not acceptable for a cat to laugh either! The others kitties gave her licks or sniffs to reassure her. She is back up on the kitchen cabinets where no sticks live! ;)

The human slipped her a few treats for being so brave. I’m glad she had some fairy dust handy so she could fly when she needed to! :lovecat4::lol:
Have a great night everyone! :heartshape:
