Okie dokie! I’ve posted all I can to try and help tonight. I really wish I had a magic wand! It would probably be drained by now though! All used up for kitties and those trying to help them. ;)
Where is Harry Potter when you need him? :lovecat4:

On to some smiles for tonight. Actually, maybe not exactly smiles but more that I got to thinking about the eye of the tiger..... cats! Lol A cat speaks through body language and facial expression. A part of that is through the eyes. We all see how beautiful our cats eyes are but how closely do we really look? At times I really notice the difference in their beautiful eyes but I decided to take a closer look.:coolcat: Colors vary, patterns in the color vary, the pupil can be small or dilated and pure emotion can be expressed through the eyes. I had fun looking. I hope you do too.

Someone today told me of finding out how fulfilling it is to have cats in their life. If anyone you know has missed finding the love of a cat, maybe they can now if they look a little closer here.
There are riches to be found in the relationship we can have with a cat. A Diamond:bicolorcat: resides in each one. Gold eyes, emerald, lapis or Ruby ;)we are all richer for having them in our lives. I think our friends here understand exactly what I am referring to. Everyone here sends thanks for your support and we send you our love! Goodnight to all of you who have ever had a gem in your life! :kitty: Sweet kitty dreams!:heartshape:

We are looking for information on cages that can be used to house kitties on a temporary basis. Especially when fostering kittens. Something that will allow space and comfort. It would be nice if it would also be comfortable to house an adult cat for isolation periods. I think we are looking at cages that are multilevel but any recommendations will be helpful. A friend has been investigating the possibility of doing some fostering but they have a kitty or three now so they want to keep everyone safe until introductions are accomplished and vetting is complete. Any suggestions on where to find a variety of configurations would be helpful. Amazon and Chewy have already been investigated. Thank you everybody!

My life is certainly is richer since adopting Ruby. Of course, I did have to change my purr-fectionist attitude to accept there'd be some claw picks in my sofa, litter scatter around the house, and the occasional hairball. Also things like unexpected 3 AM head bumps, but maybe I should look at those as a paws-itive thing. :catman: :catrub: :hearthrob:

This isn't a specific cage, but here's a thread where a mama and kittens were housed in a crate.

look at Petco.com and also, you might want to research what rescues use, via your computer's search engine. You might be able to pick up pre-owned ones on the resale sites. Also possibly check eBay.com which is not just an auction site. I prefer them to amazon, actually.
Some links that may be helpful:

There are lots more under the topic "outdoor cat enclosures" using google.

 Adjusting to a cat’s life is an adventure! An enriching one tough! I prefer the 3AM headbumps to the 3AM making of biscuits upon my neck! I keep telling the kitties that I am not a pincushion. Fortunately, the trade off is worth it. Early morning fur snuggles are the best! The kitties are very good at taking care of me whenever I need them too. Being tired or sick is much easier in the company of a kitty!:catlove:

Thank you so much for this and the other links! Very helpful. I think a very good one has been located.:clap2:

If you get a magic wand, can I borrow it? ;)
If I get one then I would be very glad to share! I already make wishes for you!

I like that. Very poetic. :) You are a poet at heart!

Okay, I'll send Demi right over, so he can dance on top of you at 3am. I've enjoyed it for too long, I should share.

I love it! Hekitty, I can’t believe it either!

I’d like to see more kitty eyes here! They really do reflect a kitty’s thoughts and feelings!

The house had settled for tonight, I thought! In a house of kitties you never can be sure everyone is asleep for the night as previous posts by our friends indicated!
Here is the story.

My most fierce of all previous ferals was purring like a kitten as he lay curled in my lap.

He was also kneading my skin with his paws and his sweet face even looks like a kitten here! I think if I had offered him a baby bottle, he would have taken it.:cloud9: Contentment!

Fortunately for me, the stripes gave Banjo some love too! I don’t think I’ll need a blanket tonight. In fact, I may be stuck on the sofa with Banjo and buried in stripes but that’s fine with me. It’s a great feeling to know that all these lost babies have found a spot to share their love. They’ve gone from struggling to survive to snuggling into a pile. It’s a beautiful sight and I feel very lucky to be able to see it. :catlove:

I've been a lot of places, done a lot of things, and known a lot of friends of various types. Bottom line, I can't think of anything more blissful than being host to a catpile. I miss those. Tarifa, Baby Su and Elvis don't nest together. What a beautiful clowder you have!

I am very fortunate that I have such a sweet and loving clowder crowd. ;)
I end up laughing everytime they pile up on me like that. It’s a wonderful feeling being covered in kitties! Maybe I should start a therapy program for humans. Feeling a little lonely? Need a lift?
Come sit under the cat pike for awhile. Guaranteed to make you smile!:p

If anyone ever comes this way, I’ll be glad to share! A kitty might even go home with you!

BTW, here's the program I use. It's Freeware.
That's the one I use but I've never figured out how to get rid of the black when I do a custom crop! If you don't mind, PM me with instructions, don't want to hijack Jcatbird's thead with too much irrelevant stuff!

I'm with you, Banjo! Enough with the strippedity-butts, a TUX NEEDS SOME LOVING!

No worries about hijacking. A little lesson might help Banjo in her posting here! Then she could try to teach me!

Banjo agrees about the quantity of stripey buns. At least she is easy to spot in the pile! With her purrsonality, she’s not likely to be ignored. She’s pretty good at stealing the show if she feels it’s important. :bicolorcat: She is very diplomatic though. She’ll leave if the others need the petting. Of course I get ,“ the look” ,first. Her expressions always get my attention!

This is her opinion right now.

There she goes again! Mom is trying to use the camera! Poor technically challenged Hooman. And she tries so hard! Pitiful, just pitiful.:flail:Maybe I can edit it for her after she goes to bed tonight.

Banjo is (almost literally) a cat in a million!

Banjo is a very special kitty. There is such intelligence and perception in her. She is very tuned in to everything and she allows me to see it!:kitty: Maybe she has a magic wand stashed away somewhere. After all, she is the kitty that vanished by the alligator farm and only reappeared when I called for her! Who needs Harry Potter when we have Banjo?

I admit, it would be very hard! It was hard with all of them. I would only let go for their sakes. Loving them as I do, I will always think of their best interests. Even when the choices are hard. I can tell you that it would take a special person to leave here with a kitty! I do know a few special people though...;)

Grateful *PRAYERS* for that! It tore my heart out to have to airlift my twelve when my ex dumped us. As it was I came here over the city's quota, but that has changed over the years. I would think of adopting more if they weren't all mature and Elvis wasn't so territorial.

Grateful *PRAYERS* for that! It tore my heart out to have to airlift my twelve when my ex dumped us. As it was I came here over the city's quota, but that has changed over the years. I would think of adopting more if they weren't all mature and Elvis wasn't so territorial.
I can understand. When my daughter was born I had to take her to another state for medical care. I had to leave mey three older kitties with another. We took a small apartment that was no pets. A few years later I moved again and a few more after that I bought a house but by that time they had passed.
It was not meant to be I guess. It broke my heart. Ironically though, as soon as I had a house, two kittens turned up in separate events. Both needed help and both came to me. One baby showed up climbing my screen door and the other turned up by running out of a clump of Pampas grass in a parking lot. I searched for the Mom or other babies but nothing. When I was young and lost a kitty, an older lady told me that when it was time, another would find me. I believe that we sometimes seek them out but that she spoke the truth. Even when set out to adopt, they find us. Something about them, even in a photo, can speak to our hearts.:)
