Hey everyone! I have been looking and reading thecatsite for many weeks now, getting some amazing information to better raise my cat. I just now finally decided to join in on the conversation!
I am a 20 year old college student. I had gotten into a car accident in December of 2017 and suffered a traumatic brain injury, that has left me disabled. A woman that saw nothing of the accident but did see someone who needed help, stopped. Her name was Gidget and she helped me so very much. A few weeks after this accident, I was looking over at the SPCA page and found my cat, my best friend, and my baby. Her name is Gidget, also. She is now 1 year old and is a crazy little tuxedo cat.
Gidget has learned to come and lay with me before a seizure, to wake me up if I have passed out and so much more. She is not only an emotional support animal, but is a wonderful service animal around my home.
Gidget was found on the side of the road with all her brothers and sisters. Some of them didn't make it, but SPCA was able to save 3 of them. She now has some form of anxiety or PTSD surrounding cars, it makes us a great pair. When I adopted her everyone was sad to see her leave but so happy she found her forever home. Gidget is one of the best things to ever happen to me.
Regardless, thanks for letting me join and I hope that I will see you all around the forums!
