I've been posting in the Behavior forum about some problems we've been having with our two crazies, but I figured we would introduce ourselves!
We adopted our first boy, Fred, in August 2017 from our local shelter. He was about a year old then, and so sick and skinny and had seemingly every parasite known to man. As he got more comfortable, his hilarious personality started to come out. He loves to play fetch, scream at us, sleep under the blankets, and take walks and run errands with us on his leash. He's something of a local celebrity, as he occasionally comes with us to our coffee shop and trivia at our local craft brewery.
In November 2018, we adopted George from a rescue that has kennels at our local PetSmart (where Fred loves to take trips on the weekends). He was pulled by the rescue from a high-risk shelter when he was 8 weeks old. When we adopted him, he was 8 months old. Georgie is such a sweetie. He has the greenest eyes and the squeakiest purr, and he loves to snuggle and eat pasta (much to our chagrin). He is very skittish, but it's great to see how much more he is opening up over the last three months.
It's great to have a place to post with questions and concerns about these two. You guys have helped to convince me that what we thought was aggression is actually just normal sibling tussling. Happy to be here!
