I don't have a motor scooter

I've been contemplating a motor scooter purchase myself. And my fuel prices are currently much less than yours.

I'm driving often, so at the moment I think I could just keep my car as the only vehicle.
The road tax and insurance for a motor scooter would buy me several gallons of fuel, let alone the money for purchasing the scooter.

I paid $3.59/gallon 2 days ago. I feel lucky seeing some of the prices.

I did too, but it's gone up to 4 bucks a gallon in the meantime.

I drove by the gas station, yesterday. It is now $4 a gallon for regular. A week ago, I paid $3.36 a gallon...

Thankfully I hardly drive. A tank lasts me like 2-3 months since I started working from home.

If it sits in the tank that long, perhaps you might consider putting in a can of fuel stabilizer.

Oh it isn't like the car is sitting not being driven all that time. I do run errands each week but everything I need is within a very short distance but it is a good idea for those who have their cars literally parked for long periods of time.

I hope we don't return to the "Gas Rationing " like there was in 1974. But its possible that this could occur.

3.79 in rural MN this weekend but I hear it's going up to 4.20 soon. I live within a few blocks of my work and the grocery store so I use very little gas, half a tank every couple weeks and most of that is warming up waste.

The price per gallon is jumping at an incredibly fast pace.

Saturday, it was $3.99 a gallon.
Drove by gas station this morning: $4.14 per gallon.

On March 5 the price for regular at the Citgo in our small town was $4.15 / gallon
Driving to a larger town today: Exxon was $4.49 / gallon, BP was $4.39 / gallon

Still had better than half a tank but since I was nearby I pulled in to Costco. Only - don't ya love it, I'm calling $3.89 / gallon "only."

Ever since Superstorm Sandy all gas stations in New Jersey are required to sell fuel to anyone. They pump it for you too - that's a New Jersey thing, only state in USA that does so. Anyhow, someone told me that next month Costco is going to require a Costco membership if you want to get gas there. We do have a membership so it is not a big deal for us but some people are going to be surprised.

Last Monday, gas was $3.81 9/10 per gallon. Today, at the same place, it's $4.39 9/10. I used to drive 300 miles a week just going to and from work, and I well remember the last time it went over $4. So glad that I'm retired.

You and me both! This gas price stuff is something 'most none of us saw coming.

My tank was 3/4 full. Looking at the $4.14 per gallon, I decided to top it off. It cost me $17 for over 4 gallons!!!

Gas prices today are 87 octane $3.79; 89 octane $3.99; 91 octane 3.99 and Diesel $4.79

91 octane here is $4.79.9. That station doesn't carry diesel, though.
