Fuel prices (and not only them) are rising every day and it seems they have reached levels never seen before.
And it also seems it's a worldwide disaster.

What's the fuel prices in the area where you live?
In order that everyone can understand, we will convert units, liters to gallons and vice versa, and your local currency to Euro and US$.
One liter is 0.264 gallons(US), one gallon(US) is 3.785 liters.
Here you find the Currency converter

Here where I'm based
Gasoline/Petrol is 1.75 €/l (7.65 US$/gal)
Diesel is 1.59 €/l (6.02 US$/gal)

Let us know the prices in your area.

Wow, that really is high. And people here in the U.S. complain when gas reaches $3.00 a gallon. I just filled up my vehicle yesterday and paid $3.08 per gallon/.81 cents per liter.

Our high end is 3.19/gal (2.76 Euro)though we found it at 2.89 (2.50) in larger cities. And I was complaining about that! What is really infuriating is that the US was gas independent and now we are buying again from the Saudis. They are trying to get us to buy electric cars with an energy grid that cannot handle it. That's politics!

When we lived in Japan the gas was around 100 yen per liter, which at the time was about $4.00 USD per gallon, and we left Japan in 1995! So, yeah, the US has cheap gas compared to the rest of the world.

I paid $3.05 a gallon at Costco last night.
(Costco is a membership club so that's cheaper than most.)

I should have filled up Tuesday when gas was $3.48 p/gal since it went up to $3.70 yesterday. I have to get gas today and will be curious to see if it's gone up again.

Gas prices range about $3.03-$3.19 in the immediate vicinity, which is low for the Detroit area.

I just got gas and it was $3.35. Back when i was commuting an hour to work I was happy if it was around this price. For a while it was over $4. I remember my late SIL not being able to afford to do any driving beyond the absolute most necessary. So I'm not complaining yet; but I'm not enjoying it either.

It is around 3.35 to 3.40 a gallon in the area that I live in. It hasn't gotten up to 4 yet here, the highest I have seen recently was 3.69.

Average today is about $1.53/L (Canada) which would be about $5.79/gallon in US dollars or 1.06/L EUR (I don't know how to get the Euros or pound symbol on my computer)
............Did I do my math right????

€ - the symbol was copy/pasted from Antonio65 Antonio65 post...
Is that the symbol for pounds or Euros that we're using for this thread.....aaaannnnd second dumb question.....is there a difference between the two?

It's about $3.14/gallon in the Minneapolis suburb I live in. It definitely makes me glad that I work from home. My car alerts me when I need to get my oil changed and it always seems to work out to about twice a year, until this last year. Until it alerted me about a month ago, I hadn't had it changed since June 2020.

I greatly wish that the US had a more substantive public transportation system, but there is a lot of shady politics regarding that.

It just dropped 2 cents a gallon here, so now it's only $3.48 a gallon. Woo-hoo! Although, about a month ago it was $3.70 a gallon briefly. It makes me so glad that I don't have to commute 30 miles to work any more. At one point, with gas over $4, it was costing almost $100 a week.

I am glad I work from home now. The last time it got this high I was commuting and it definitely hurt. They switched things up some so we worked longer. That shaved some of the trips to work off without losing hours. That was a job that could not be done remotely.
