I got a $25 Starbucks gift card from a White Elephant exchange, so we went through the drive thru after seeing the pediatrician and I tried the sugar cookie almond milk latte. I was not super impressed so at least I didn't have to pay for it.

SO...I'm sitting here in the middle of my "night," slugging back hot chocolate with marshmallows, because sleep is NOT happening/ Drat it.
Do you work nights? It must be hard sleeping during the day. I like tea rather than coffee, "not that there is anything wrong with that". I have black tea (various varieties) in the morning, switching to Herbal in the afternoon and Green tea in the evening. It works for me.

LOL, now you've opened my can of worms. No, I'm retired. I worked 2nd and 3rd shifts, by choice, my entire life. My mom told me that when I was VERY tiny, 2-3 months old, she'd wake up to check on me, as new moms do, and I'd always be wide awake, quiet, happy, looking around and taking in the mysterious, lovely dark. And it kept up all of my life. LORD, I'd go to school so groggy I could barely move, only to start waking up after noon. my mother would move heaven and earth every year in my high school days to make sure that I had my easy classes scheduled for mornings, and stuff I had to concentrate on in the afternoons. I do sleep VERY well during the day, though, usually!

I think chai spice tea tonight. I've already had my coffee, with Irish Cream creamer. YUMMY

Dark roast black this morning and I treated a close friend to lunch this afternoon. Her husband passed away two months ago and I can tell she's lost so I thought a girl's afternoon out would perk her up. I stopped counting how many coffee refills I had though. :flail:

Tim Hortons French Vanilla Cappuccino one with Gingerbread syrup, one with Peppermint syrup. Ridiculous! Stupid Xmas blow up dolls on all my tables! I complained to the guy and he said they might be able to give me my table back

Medium French Vanilla Cappuccino with peppermint syrup added. They must be trying to market to kids. But it's a coffee shop! They didn't take the stupid blow up dolls off my table. And they have Xmas stockings sloppily taped on the shelf where they hand you your coffee. So unsanitary! They can't wipe it down anymore, so they set my coffee in a pile of sludge. Gross! Gonna email corporate

Pumpkin Spice cappuccino at local place, vanilla cappuccino with maple pancake syrup at Tim Hortons. Dad had hot chocolate both places. Then mixed English Toffee Cappuccino with vanilla cappuccino at a deli.
