Thanks. Her name is "Smokey", though we usually call her "Biggie Cat". We also have a smaller cat, who is Smokey's mother (since spayed), "Momcat". Orange tabby.
That the family cat "Silky" had to be euthanized. Now she's at the Rainbow Bridge.
Was the first time I had to deal with death, I was 14 years old then.
In the Cat holic Church we have All Saints Day Nov1st for cannonized saints, All Souls Day for the rest of the dead, so we should do an All Cats Day on Nov 3rd where we remember all out rainbow bridge cats. Dog lovers could have an All Dogs Day as well.

Back in January this year we adopted 2 adult female neutered cats, Momcat and Smokey. Smokey was more socialized, Momcat hid all the time. After a couple of months, Momcat jumped up on my bed with me in it. And didn't mind a few pets. Nowadays Momcat is always in my bed every night, along...
Momcat is the orange tabby, Smokey is her daughter. Both now fixed.

One of my :winkcat: cats said "Ain't you the patriotic peacock"... :)

Momcat now always hops up onto my bed within minutes of my turning into bed every night now. She seems to like being petted some, she usually lays down by my feet. Took a few pictures of her there.
Back in January this year we rehomed a pair of cats (mother and daughter) as adults. The daughter "Smokey" (dark tortoiseshell) aka "biggie cat" (20 pounds) is reasonably friendly and likes to be petted and scritched, but not big on laps. The momcat (10 pounds) had been quite skittish (we...
Our new to us cats. The tortieshell "Smokey" is the friendly one, the orange one "Mommy" was a feral or semi-feral a former owner acquired when "Mommy" was pregnant with kittens. Smokey is one of those kittens. They're about 8 to 10 years old. Mommy always hides, Smokey likes to be scritched...
