    5 month old still suckles?

Thank you guys! I wasn't really too worried I was just more curious as to why she still did this at such an older stage! I work with feeding kittens and I see the little bottle babies suckling on eachother's ears and such but i've always seen them grow out of it. Guess you learn something everyday

    5 month old still suckles?

Oh that's so cute haha!! I was just a little weirded out seeing it due to the fact I have never seen my other cats do it nor any of the cats I work with. Thank you for letting me know!

Hello again. I have a few questions

I personally would change out all the litter, allow the new cats to put in their own scents rather than be bombarded by a previous cat's scent. Just how I would approach it. But you could always see if the new cats are willing to use the litter boxes, if not then change it out!

    5 month old still suckles?

Hi! Not really a problem just curious as to why my 5 month old kitten still suckles. I've caught her doing it a few times now. She would lay beside me and begin needing and I noticed her head would be bobbing up and down facing my blanket and I realized she suckling on my blanket. She seems to...

Just adopted 2 rescue cats-female is mean to shy sweet male

Just wanted to say thank you for adopting the two cats! Also wanted to say, I am also in the same exact situation! My resident boy cat is super sweet and loves being held and pet and sits in laps and I recently adopted a 6 month old tuxedo female and she acts exactly the same as your cat. Found...

    Advice with cat introductions!

Just wanted to update a bit on the situation! I attempted switching Charlie and Jasmin for a night, allow Jasmin to explore the house without Charlie around and Charlie get used to her scent. Each one seemed upset and sat outside of the door wanting back in/out so that was a flop haha So I just...

New Re-homed cat, very lethargic and non-reactive.

Hello, I just read this thread and I am praying your poor kitty gets better. I am so glad she has found such a wonderful owner to stand by her through this all! I just wanted to attach a link about how to find help to pay for vet bills if you needed it! Maybe something on there could be helpful...

    Advice with cat introductions!

Charlie is starting to be a bit more comfortable in the home! I have been having play sessions for about 20min each a few times through out the day and he is walking around the house and no longer under the bed as often! I wasn't able to seal off under the bed because it's a huge bed and I...

    Advice with cat introductions!

Sorry another question! I noticed Jasmin has been scratching her ear quite a bit and I suspect it is because her ears are very dirty and need to be cleaned to relive that uncomfortable feeling she has been having. I have a liquid that is for cleaning animal ears and when i put it in I need to...

    Advice with cat introductions!

No, don't worry about the delayed responses!  I have been able to get her out from under the bed to come out and play. If it is very quiet and still, she will come out and she allowed me to pet her. She then proceeded to play with me and a string toy. It made me happy to see she is slowly...

    Advice with cat introductions!

Just got to be patient! Honestly they seemed ready because they both slept on the opposite sides of the door and played from under the door. I thought maybe they will get along, but I guess I misread the situation. Just got to give it time haha, hopefully they will come around @talkingpeanut

    Advice with cat introductions!

To answer the earlier question, the fight was started by Jasmin. My resident cat Charlie was the one who came up to her, she was under the bed with her head sticking out to see him, as he walked up to her in seconds Jasmin began to hiss and a fight had began. It was mostly meowing and clawing at...

Helping cat adjust to new living situation

Have you thought about looking into getting another friend for your cat who may be more suited to his personality? Maybe a more playful teenage cat that will fit his needs. Additionally I would say maybe spend more time playing with him and giving him attention to distract him he no longer has...

    Bitey cat

Hi! I just wanted to add a few tips I was told about a nippy cat.  If he starts to bite your hand what you should do is allow your hand to go limp (as if it has died) and put it behind your back and walk away a bit. You don't really have to wait long but come back with a toy (maybe something...
