Hello fellow feline lovers,
I'm Silver! I'm the proud mum of three boys - Nile, Sylvester, and Machete. I've had Nile for 16 years and he's the last one standing of my original trio. I always thought he would be the first to go with all his past medical issues but he's a tough little guy.
In December 2021 he was diagnosed with kidney disease. My vet said that he would live another 2 to 3 years... With a prescription diet he's still doing very well. A full physical last month showed that he's still at stage 2 kidney disease, where he was over a year ago. Everyday he's still here with me is a good day! I love him so much.
Sylvester and Machete are both rescues, I got Sylvester in 2020, he will be 4 in April, and I adopted Machete in August 2023, he's around 5. Machete was a last minute rescue under special circumstances. I told myself I never wanted three cats again but here I am with my three boys!
My reason for joining is to have a place to talk to others that appreciate cats as much as I do. And to share Nile's journey with his battle. Maybe it can help someone down the road.
Thanks for reading
