rubysmama rubysmama I kind of hoped you would like the sky. I found myself very relaxed and smiling just watching. So very beautiful.
Bonjour defies gravity just walking without his front end rising up! Lead bottom.

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose Well, busy is good but a little less busy so I could just sleep really late would be a vacation for me! Lol
Your cloud pictures are beautiful! Very cool!! I love seeing the sky art! The video is fascinating. Lots of wows!

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Some of the best murals I have seen would be termed by others as graffiti. ;) Done by the poor for the poor. If I had one it would have to be DIY and would have to include clouds and cats. I think your photo of bed and cats is a great mural. Hopefully the heat will not be bad on you or them. The cats here are feeling it too, thus the shedding. Your clouds are beautiful. The second one has gorgeous light coming through!
I can see why you AND the kitties watched outside in the Mojave! That was quite a view and rare to have such beauty laid out to watch. TV could never match that! We are all fortunate to get to see it here.

pearl99 pearl99 Glad you enjoyed the sunset. The colors were amazing.

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote Bonjour is blushing if a black floof can blush. He would love to come and snuggle up to you! :purr:

tabbytom tabbytom Sunsets like that are a good time to snuggle up with a kitty and watch the show. :catrub:

N NY cat man I can understand Michelle wanting the medicine cabinet inset. That’s a lot of adjust to make it happen!
A joint with no stud? Sooooo, you never leaned hard on that spot? Lol The surprises keep coming. It’s looking great! Definite progress!

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 Six pack!:flail:
What a coincidence! The bed is my happy place too! Lol
Margot Lane Margot Lane So true! Better to sink those screws as you go! Not fun to have to stop later to correct mistakes. You have a sharp eye for detail!

neely neely Awww Carleton! So sweet! I wonder if that position is a floof fur thing? Floof gravitational pull? Lol

pearl99 pearl99 Primrose are always pretty but the blue Columbine…. Whoa! So nice! Ummmm, don’t look now but I might be lurking in your garden. Lol

I think everyone here better start guarding their gardens! A cat burglar may gathering plants!

All of the drywall has been hung, but a halt has been called by Michele. One of my sisters, from out of state, will be in town visiting for a few days this week. I haven't seen her or her husband since the funeral of our eldest sister, 7 years ago, and Michele has decreed that there shall be no more dust created until after they are gone. Just as I was getting ready to tape and mud, too.

I caught these pics from a moving car. We were trying to beat the storm that was coming.

No problem! You can do both! Just pop out and get a Festool sander! It sucks up its own dust AND allows quality time w/ your sister. :)

Jcatbird Jcatbird : Actually, there was a stud behind the joint but I had to remove a portion of it to make the cabinet fit. There still is support above and below the removed portion, however. It was fun finding and removing all of the buried drywall screws that had to go. Whoever installed them must have gotten a bulk rate, as they used about 4x more than necessary. And they were the wrong kind- designed for use with metal studs, not wood.

N NY cat man Just when you are on a roll! Well, maybe a break is in order anyway. You have accomplished a lot! You’ll come back to the work ready to go.I hope the visit with your sister is wonderful! Seven years is a long time. I can understand that Michelle would want everything to be nice. I rarely see family and I always want things to be as pleasant for them as possible.

Ummmm, I don’t dash out for much either. It’s too difficult to find what I need anymore. Dash for it? No. Slow ride if I must have it. A nice tool would be tempting but…. I have mostly used hand tools for so long that I wonder if I can just use what I have now. Lol
I will dash for cat needs though. Funny how that can motivate a dash!
Oh my. Maybe they used 4times as many screws because the sales clerk saw them coming and a bulk sale in the making. ;)
I guess they got….. nailed? On that purchase?

Margot Lane Margot Lane Festool? Lol It does sound tempting! I have a small sander with a dust attachment. It’s okay but probably not as good as a Festool. Do you have a Festool? Works well? I think I have Tool envy.

Actually no, don’t have a Festool, just see them in stores….there’s something you learn & feel doing the whole thing by hand.

Hoping your hope is realized soon, tabbytom tabbytom --we'll miss you!
Jcatbird Jcatbird Gorgeous pix! Thanks! I miss the days of Ex #3 and I going to LAX and watching the planets take off and land, listening to the control tower on his radio, and even -- yes, you heard it here! -- eating fresh donuts and drinking good coffee from a shop close to the airport. Of course that all stopped when so many other good things did, too. :sigh: Seems like a lifetime ago.
And yeah, may that corporation remain nameless! I get our supplies from them. They completely messed up my repeat delivery schedule and the pages on their site almost freeze, so I opted for live chat. BIG MISTAKE. Past "customer service" phone calls have been, to put it very mildly, hair-tearingly frustrating. They seem to hire people from afar who have little to no knowledge of how to do customer service and who seem to have been trained to frustrate and make conducting business impossible. And the way they say things (syntax, not language) is undecipherable. So I thought, well, hey, maybe chat will be better?!! HAH! TWO hours, THREE disconnects and FOUR reps later, I was no closer to getting what should have been simple business conducted. SO...I decided to do what one had hinted of, remove everything and re-enter it. Okay. But wait...there's MORE! Where you used to be able to schedule repeat delivery when you wanted it, NO MORE, KIDS! You can only input it for immediate repeat delivery. And if you want other items to be delivered at another time? Oh, no. Can't do that! I will have to wait until immediately before I want those items delivered and re-enter them, too.
If I could endure doing business with Chewy, I'd go there. But I don't like the owner and won't do business with them.

*NOTE TO SELF: NEVER. EVER. Deal with Customer Service again. Just DON'T.* My stomach was in knots during and after the call, all night, and to the minute. NOT worth it.
Ah well, another week! Elvis is on my lap snouting my hand, trying to subvert my work. :angrycat:

Jcatbird Jcatbird Hope you were able to get home safely before the storm. :crossfingers: I hate driving when the rain comes down full force, windshield wipers on high and you still can barely see the car in front of you.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I call Customer Service, Customer Nightmare - it's only gotten worse too. :yelling:

tabbytom tabbytom Good luck on your search for a new laptop. :goodluck: My husband is going through something similar with his desktop computer and keeps procrastinating.

Yeah! Used to be, if you didn't do your job properly, you got fired. There are thousands who'd love to have a job lined up behind you. But that doesn't matter any more, it seems. It's gone from "The customer is always right," to "Torture the customer and don't EVER solve the issue they chatted/called about. Extra points for tears. More for rage.")
All I'm trying to do is get food, litter and treats for my feral and rescued cats!!!

Jcatbird Jcatbird I love all the pics of the kitties, geese, clouds, and sunset. 🤔 Hmmm, Accuma lota smiles, never heard of those clouds before, but if they bring a smile to your face than the name suits them.😉 Glad you liked the cloud pics and video I posted. Yes, clouds are indeed fascinating.

Hope everyone is doing okay. For those dealing with set backs and /or Customer Services Hell:fuming:I hope the set backs is one that can be remedied quickly enough and for those dealing with a CS nightmare, I hope you can finally get your problem taking care of. I have been there and it is very frustrating and could drive you crazy. :gaah::frustrated::dizzy: Hang tough and never give an inch till you get your problem resolved. I think that's what they want, so they can keep over billing you or doing other nonsense.

Here is a viral video, I thought I post here. I call it "Kitten Stapede". God bless this man for helping all these kittiens. I would like to say to this kind sir if I ever meet him.:happycat:

Here is the rest of the story. He took them all home and is trying to find homes for them. He will be adopting the first kitty he picked up and possibly another. Love stories like this. ❤❤❤

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose Thank you so much for posting that video of the kittens being saved. It was unbelievable and I'm thrilled the man had so many offers of homes for all of them. :heartshape:

We had several emergency alerts tonight with tornado warnings, thunder, sheets of rain and 84 mph winds. There were over 500 lightning strikes near the airport. Pretty scary and I kept watching the trees in our yard worried one of them might come down.

I am glad you enjoyed the video. Stories like that always warm my heart. Sending prayers and good thoughts that you are safe in your home and there is no tornado, lighting, or heavy rain damage around you. We had Hurricane Irene and Sandy up here where I swear my neighbor's 60 foot old Norwegian Spruce which was not in the best of shape would coming crashing down into my house, but it never happened. I pray the same in your situation and that you feel safe and at peace, despite these vicious storms. Hang in there. 🙏🙏🙏

3 different folks sent me this video! (I don’t tweet or FB so am clueless) JUST wonderful, thanks for posting—- didn’t know how it ended!!
Wondering why they immediately trusted him? Were they dumped? That first grey kitty had a PLAN. Such hope, here.
