I'm sleepy, too, because my inconsiderate neighbors apparently don't know what "disturbing the peace" means. They're moving out (and I pray what moves in won't be worse!) but they were over there talk, talk, talking late last night.
This reminds me of my neighbor too, but they have far different issues. The couple fight ALL THE TIME, and I can always hear the shouting, banging etc.. They are not married and my neighbor is actually the guy only. Each time they have a fight, the female is not allowed inside the apartment, which makes the lady more angry. Last Friday at 4am, I woke up with the sound of somebody loudly banging the door and it turned out it was the lady again. All my patience gone, I went out and confronted her. Friday is my only day off and I really wanted to sleep more. She said sorry after my rants and curses. But after an hour she picked a huge rock and hurled at her boyfriend's terrace, shattering the glass, and frightening my cats. Police came but I don't know what will happen next. It is like forcibly watching a movie.

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote I have heard fights like that. One where I lived years ago became a fist fight between man and wife! Time for them to part ways if you ask me! Before something worse happens. A rock through glass? She must have been beyond the breaking point herself! I’m glad she did not turn on you. Sorry they could not keep it quiet and sensible between them. Sad that it is that way. Then again, I have known couples to work through troubled times and get beyond it. Hopefully they let out all the pent up emotions and nothing more will happen. :hugs:

I was actually afraid for my cats, so from that day I lock the catio before I leave the house so my cats would not be able to go there while I am not at home. They can only access the catio under my supervision. The catio is right next to my neighbor's front door.

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote My concerns would be for my cats, too. Domestic violence calls are the most dangerous calls the police get. But for civilians to confront perpetrators can also be dangerous. I would never, never, NEVER do this. You could end up being the target for misplaced aggression! I'd call the cops and let them deal with it. I've been the object of DV in more than one relationship and I know what I'm talking about here.
Jcatbird Jcatbird So glad to her that Banjo is feeling better! and hoping she'll be able to share some of that excellent fresh 'nip if Whistle will be generous.
Last night was quiet and NO floodlight! They must be gone. This morning early, gardeners were over there. Thank you for your kind thoughts and wishes, Jcatbird Jcatbird --from your keyboard, PLEASE!
There is a rescued cat, bringing it back OT, on my lap. He's big, blue/cream, warm, and purring. :redheartpump: :bluecat::redheartpump:

Is anyone feeling like this week is going too slow? I feel like this cat sliding down the stairs.:doh2:
View attachment 422768

Well, hope everyone is doing okay and having a good week so far. TG tomorrow is Friday!!!!:woo:
Too slow? Not hardly, at least that's the view from here. Right now I'm hip-deep in a bathroom remodel, having just completed the reframing of a wall and now redoing the wiring so I can hang the drywall. And here I thought that retirement meant a time to kick back and take it easy. HAH!

You sound like you have some serious DIY skills. Good for you. Don't worry you can enjoy having a brand new bathroom when you are done. Think of all the money you save doing the remodeling yourself. You could put that kind of money towards a nice vacation somewhere. 😎🌴⛱🍹

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote I understand your reaction to that lady. Our one chance to rest and others don’t care or they are so involved with some stress in their own life they don’t think how they affect others. Perhaps she even hoped for someone to step in and change her lot in life. She did all the wrong things for anything good to happen. People do desperate things but she and that neighbor must have issues to behave with violence. I am glad she backed off with you. Also glad that police handled it later. Maybe that was the final argument or she will not be back. I also understand being protective of the cats. I think supervision in the catio is a good idea anyway. :hugs:

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Yes! May peace be beside us all and may the garden next door be lush and serene from now on. You and that big blue rescued cat deserve to enjoy life. Rest and relaxation. Who knows? Maybe a new neighbor will be a feral cat rescuer!;) Too bad the Clowder doesn’t own the house. You would just be hearing lots of purrs along with a Banjo and a Whistle! Lol Not a loud Banjo and Whistle but Mewsic to your ears

Banjo is back to playing now! Yay!!!!! She still doesn’t have her new meds though! A long delay but I am working on it. Everything for a reason?
Yes. Whistle did share and photos will come soon.

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose That kitty is soooo funny!! Petting yourself kitty? Bumpy ride though. Lol
Too slow? Days and weeks and months fly by too quickly for me. Where does the time go? Anytime you want a speedy week, come here! Lol
Yes. NY cat man has amazing skills!

N NY cat man Nothing goes by slowly here. Hip deep? Yes. A remodel is all consuming.
Retirement? Our golden years! Lol Yeah, right! My days are not long enoug! I am always scrambling for time.Lol Kick back. Kick into high hrar! Lol

sooo sleepy. Time for rest now. I will return.

More later but sleep must come now. Long, long day. Lol I have smiles coming from the kitties though. Quick smile.

Bonjour. Did you have catnip?
7CB6CD97-6C8F-423F-A220-876DCBA8B210.jpeg

Maybe a little.
A382E893-15F7-4569-85EF-4688ACA8439B.jpeg

Was it good and strong?

Ummmm. It was okay.
1F1FAE44-8E36-4586-96A8-4FF30D055B9B.jpeg

I think it was stronger than you realize Bonjour!
Why would you say that?
824E3AE3-93B3-4D9C-A21E-326E1E8B6E0C.jpeg

Oh, I don’t know. Maybe the way you are hanging out? Your body is defying gravity! Then again, you have enough junk in your trunk to act like an anchor!

Sorry, but there will go vacations anytime soon, as Michele flatly refuses to leave our cats in the care of anyone else, ever, even for a single night.

N NY cat man BIG PROPS to Michelle! I feel the same way.
Jcatbird Jcatbird Bonnie! What a lush fluff you are! Gorgeous mancatto. And you and Elvis are kindred souls. He's been coming in for TWO snootfuls nightly. I can always tell if he's indulged while I'm asleep because the toy pile is disarranged.
What a lot of beautiful art you have!
Hoping Banjo's medicine is soon available!
Yeah, it's tough when you have insomnia and are hyper anyway. And so many things on my mind these days. I try to tell myself it does absolutely no good to worry. That's great advice, yes? except when it's you that's worrying. Oh well!
I guess that's why Elvis has been double-dipping. :winkcat:

N NY cat man I know the feeling. I never want to leave the kitties either. Even a day trip means I leave someone guarding the cats. The trip to take Banjo for medical care was tough because the person driving felt they might not feel like driving back once we were there. Ahhh. Well, would you rather I drive? They managed to recover before time to return. I would have gotten here one way or another. The person I left here probably would have waited for me but I wasn’t taking any chances. Vacations aren’t fun if your mind is worrying about kitties.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Two snootfuls? Lol Must be good stuff. I love watching the kitties having fun. Nice of Elvis to entertain himself. My eldest, Dolly, is very good at that and I often hear pitter patter of paws. Upon investigating it is often a dancing black cat with a toy mouse for a dancing partner.
Worry is not usually helpful BUT sometimes it does lead us to thinking of new solutions? Stress and worry take a toll. Hopefully rest comes there with peace of mind.

Thank you about the art work. I enjoy having color on the walls. Mostly nature. Subjects do I have a bit of outside to view even on a rainy day.

What gorgeous, dramatic skies!
Yes, having views of something better inside even if some of us no longer have it outside can be helpful. IDK if you've seen this old film that someone we knew and love(d) surely also loved, "THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH," but in some of the scenes, the protagonist, played by David Bowie, and his partner, played by Candy Clark, played table tennis in a room decorated with a wall-sized view of autumnal trees and leaves. It was very lovely.
Yeah, Elvis was probably thinking to himself, "This is primo weed, man!"

I happened to get some nice sunset pictures. The sky had very interesting clouds so I grabbed the camera. As I watched it got more and more beautiful! I was smiling. Wow!
Wow, is right! I love the first ones, and they keep getting more vibrant until those stunning oranges. Thanks for sharing. 🌇

Also love your wall art. And, of course, beautiful cats. LOL at Bonjour hanging there, defying gravity.

N NY cat man I am the same way. The best I can do is take a half day trip and then I feel really guilty and worry over the cats. So I can understand your wife and other members here who feel the same. Taking care of the outdoor kitties is a labor of love.😺😺😺 Hope everything is coming along with the bathroom renovations. Would love to see the before and after pics.🙂

Jcatbird Jcatbird I am glad you like the cat gif. I think I am just tired of my routine and need to shake things up. Glad you are being kept busy
Love the pics of Bonjure and that gorgeous sunset and clouds. There are some really strange cloud formations. Here are two of them.

Very strange, but fascinating. Well, I wish everyone a great weekend. Take care. ❤

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 A mural would be great! I think I would want it to go from sea to forest to mountains. Lol Including all creatures, great and small.
Elvis!:flail:Primo cat!
With the advent of digital photography and huge screens, I'm sure it's possible for the rich. That lets me out! But anyway.
IMG_1998.JPG

Very hot here for at least the next week, so I'm pretty sure my feral and rescued cats are going to be doing a lot of this:lolup:
Elvis is sacked out on the carpet, by the weight bench, after trying my lap and finding it too hot for his liking. Suha is eating well, considering. Hoping they won't go on food strike because of the heat!
