I just came in from my night search for her. BJ escorted me and it was a strange but amazing experience. No Thrasher seen but BJ is definitely sensed something. BJ taught me many new things tonight. More tomorrow after I have rested. BJ has never meowed like this! Still doing it but purring wildly when I hold him.
Oh, I hope that's a sign that BJ senses Thrasher is nearby. :crossfingers: :vibes::hearthrob::catrub:

Please Keep the candle burning and the hope flowing. Everyone, please keep thinking, Thrasher come home thoughts.
Thrasher, please come home !!! :lovecat:

The *PRAYERS* and thoughts for and about Thrasher continue! :redheartpump: :runningcat::redheartpump:
Todd has surfaced. He posted about Casey in the usual place. Didn't post as to everyone, but praying and hoping they are all okay.
Yes, our beloved Tarifa angel was quite a singer and a jodler (that's a "yodeller" auf deutsch) and she could probably be heard everywhere when she bellowed!

Our beloved angel Tarifa used to bellow up and down the hall and in the kitchen. Sometimes she kind of yodelled.
I love yodeling! Wish I could've heard her. ❤

Never hurts to check again though.
Yes, that principle applies to a lot of things, doesn't it? ;)

You’re a fog of a different color!
I love your typos!...Or Freudian slips? They always have a hidden life metaphor in them. ;)

At long last, her Prince has come!
Well where's mine? Hopefully I'm next. 👑

good company and good food and good mommy.
Awww, that made me feel all warm & fuzzy. :hugs:

From your keyboard to Thrasher's ears, heart, and paws, Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose !!!
Yeah, M maggiedemi -- dark-thirty-five, and all is quiet -- except for a small tortoiseshell cat, waking the entire neighborhood, I don't doubt! (My BF is from Switzerland. When we were first corresponding, he sent me a cassette of yodeling. I love it!)

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 Thank you!
tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Thank you!
A jodeler. Lol I like that. It sounds like a good cat word. Cats Jodel!
Glad that Todd showed up. The weather in that state has been awful. It hit up near my Dad yesterday. Hoping everyone is okay.

M maggiedemi Hmmm. A fog of a different color. Interesting.
Hopefully you are next. Shall I send you a frog to kiss? :p Banjo highly recommends it.

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose That’s adorable. Thank you! We miss her so much. As tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 said, from your keyboard ( and all others) to her ears. May she hear us and find the path home to be an easy one.

Last night BJ took me for a walk!

The kitties wanted my attention. Sounds outside? What Banjo?

A noise Kodiak?
74CAC731-7521-4F9A-B826-212832383673.jpeg

Let you look BJ?
04664E44-350C-4F3D-A22F-6DABA48119B3.jpeg

Harnessed up, Flowers put in a cage so she wouldn’t run out in the cat room, we ventured out.
The hour is late and it is prime cat wandering time so maybe Thrasher is out there?
24EA0CCA-5C2C-4176-920C-6D6F23AD594E.jpeg

I took BJ out into the cat room but he wanted outside. At first he ventured slowly, sniffing under feral shelters, along the paths in the yard but went to the side gate and to the area he previously checked. He constantly wove I’m and out between my feet. Then he headed across the neighbors front yard. He has never been in that direction before. Every so often he reached up to be picked up and held a moment. He purred loudly when I did. Then he would ask to get down again. He took me most of the way over the yard before turning back to go into the gate again. He covered the ground between the house and greenhouse. Still weaving, stopping to be held and purring. Hewalked to the back gate where he had refused to go before. I opened the gate and he hesitated a moment. He sniffed and then took me running back towards the trailer. He looked back a few times to make sure I was still with him. He slowed when I had to cross through vines but he made a bee line to the old truck my neighbor has. He sniffed around it, then jumped to the hood and finally to the top of the can where he laid down and flipped his tail back and forth. He looked up and all around. For him to cross open areas at night and stay in the open goes against feral instincts. I finally urged him down and he proceeded to go towards the ditch line and then towards the swamp but never entered the woods where he had lived before coming in. He wanted to go further but I wouldn’t let him. We walked back towards the house and again he asked to be held. He purred wildly then. I put him down and he started a slower jog along the path and towards the Gingerbread house. The whole time he kept his nose to the ground. It really reminded me of a search and rescue dog! I have never seen a cat behave on this manner before. Twice during this he meowed. BJ never meows! He was very conscious of keeping near me but it was amazing how he seemed to be on the scent of something that was important to him. I don’t know what he sensed but I know he knew far more than I did. I finally just picked him up to head back to the house. I could tell he was excited and as much as I wanted to find Thrasher, I was concerned about him running into something in the dark or just being over excited. He was overly excited.

I thought I had seen nearly every kind of cat behavior by now but I have never seen a cat running as though pursuing a scent! I have seen them chase prey but never acting the way BJ acted. It wasn’t like he was after prey or even another male cat intruder. His attention to me as he led me running in the yard showed me he wasn’t trying to madly chase anything. He was acutely aware and was taking me with him as he ran. IDK what he sensed but there is no doubt in my mind that he knew far more than I did. His scent is over much of the yard now. I decided it best not to take him out again right now. We’ll give time for his scent to be picked up and see if Thrasher will follow it.
BJ is relaxed again now. Lol

Oh, definitely he was tracking! Cats don't act like that normally, as you well know; and they don't meow to each other unless something important is going on. *PRAYERS* and hoping you can go out during the day and see what you can see, hopefully with him if he'll go with you.
And yes, he so deserves loves from Lady! and commendation from all. He is a very brave and loyal BJ.
Beautiful blossoms, dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 -- our magnolias here are the white ones. Yours are gorgeous! Ours don't bloom for awhile yet. And I'm noticing over the past couple of years that things are happening later in the year than normal. The rains start later and the flowers bloom later.

Hopefully you are next. Shall I send you a frog to kiss? :p Banjo highly recommends it.
Sure, why not? It can't hurt to try. Can't be any worse than the others.

Hmmm. A fog of a different color. Interesting.
Yes, that made me think about fog and how we can't see our way, and wondering if we will ever come out the other side.

Oh my goodness! He finally won a kiss from Lady!
Shocker! I wasn't expecting that. But BJ did earn that kiss. Hopefully he gets more in time.

When he wakes up, I’ll tell him how Lady watched over him as he slept.
I wish Lady was here to watch over me. Not having such a good night. I know I have to find the strength to leave here soon, but just don't have the confidence yet. I could use your prayers if you can spare any. 🙌

BellaGooch BellaGooch I did give BJ an extra pet from you. He’s such a great kitty.
No sign of Thrasher yet though. I still look and hope.

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 Those are beautiful! Tulip magnolias. I love the color. I don’t have any of that type.

tabbytom tabbytom Agreed! Beautiful!

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I wish you could have seen BJ. I know you would have been struck by him the way that I was moved. I know he was on a scent trail and to meow like that made me think it is someone he knows. One meow was a yell as though someone stepped on his paw and the second was more like a call. He was so overly excited o got a little worried. He was huffing and wide eyed. He was really exhausted afterwards and it took a long time to calm him down. It’s storming here now so he can’t go back out but when we have a clear day we’ll try a bit again. This is one for the books. A hero cat for sure.

M maggiedemi I’ll have to ask Banjo if one of the frogs is interested in being a traveling frog.;) Maybe you could throw him a kiss?

Fog can be beautiful. There seems to be a hush when it settles down over us. Everything sort of muffled. When I was on the water the sound of the fog horns was always reassuring. A beacon of sound to lead any of the lost.
I am sure that Lady will watch over you from afar. Dream of Frog Princes, fog ( frog) horns and a soft purring Lady beside you.
Of course you have our prayers. Always and especially.:grouphug2:

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose I hope things are better there.

For those who may not know yet, we have lost one of our TCS moderators. Jcat has gone to join the kitties at the rainbow bridge. She will be sorely missed by humans and by kitties.

Hello Jcatbird. I just logged in and offer my condolences on the thread set up for Jcat (Tricia). I had not had the pleasure of meeting her on the site, but she sounds like a very good person. May she RIP 🌈💕💕💕💕💕

I am hanging in there. Hope you find Thrasher soon. I am still 🙏. 🙂

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose Thank you for adding to the condolences for Jcat and all her friends and family.
Also for adding maggiedemi to your prayers. I think a few of us are wishing to relocate and I do understand how complicated it can be. We will all be here to support each other. Thank you for your very sweet words on the Question of the day thread too. You and BellaGooch BellaGooch . Who knows, maybe my experiences will help someone else. I certainly hope so. Wishing good things for us all.
