Oh that is wonderful... Such great news to start the morning! I really needed to hear a heartwarming story, especially during this time..We got a new addition to our extended family this week. My SIL and BIL adopted their foster son. Because of covid we were able to participate via Zoom from a whole different state. This is the second time we've gotten to do that and it's really just...an amazing experience to be a part of. This poor kiddo is the same age as my DS and had spent over half his life in foster care. No more. He's ours forever. It was the same judge from the last adoption last spring. The whole part with him took 10 minutes; so it was pretty quick. But he seems like a personable guy interacting with the kids. He held up a teddy bear for him that was waiting for him at the courthouse to pick up later too.
He's also very close in age to DS; who is SUPER excited to have a BOY cousin his age. Usually when we visit it's him plus 3 girls. Or more accurately; 3 girls being girly and him by himself unless he wants to participate in a dance routine. (Not his kind of fun... )

No its not quite been a year since we visited DHs family and he hasn’t been with them that long. SIL has sent me pictures occasionally because with foster children you cannot share their pictures on social media or anything for their safety. So hes been cropped out or had his face obscured somehow. Hopefully the boys can meet via video chat soon since I don’t know when we will visit. The girls use kids messenger and video chat. Technology has been so helpful this last year!Has your family met him yet?
Our forecast has all highs above freezing after today. Some lows above freezing too. I’ll celebrate that!I don't have any exciting news to report but my positive is the sun is shining brightly and next week we are "finally" supposed to warm up into the high 30's and even reach 41 one day. I don't mind cold weather but I could use a little warmth when it's below zero.
was great i am stuffed thanks i posted some picssome whereOnly about one more month of winter, yay! It's 3 degrees now but supposed to reach 30, I'll take it.
How was the graduation party game misconduct ?
Did you enjoy the baby shower artiemom ?
I loved our stops in Tasmania! It was so beautiful. I did underdress when we went to Cradle Mountain. If I could go back and do it again, I wouldn't have worn shorts, because I didn't account for the wind when I dressed, and I would have enjoyed the experience more.I'm down in Tasmania at the moment, right at the bottom of the world
The area is known for it's great wine, and also for it's annual scarecrow competition... the winner is not really what you'd call a scarecrow, but the entries are all pretty obscure these days. The wine reference works though.
Every time I drive past I have to smile.
