I do, would, could, did, and sent you a PM. Check your inbox. I can also, if you let me know where in VA you are (via PM), send you information for Virginia's Legal Aid office nearest you, and would be happy to do so. This borders on illegal, as they are charging you for food that you cannot eat.

Tonight...don't laugh, but it's cold, I'm tired, and chicken and rice soup with crackers sound WONDERFUL to me. Yep, plain old canned Campbell's soup, like Mama gave me on nights like this. With the electric fireplace turned on, just for effect!
I PM you. I hope you received it. Thanks for your help.

muffy muffy Does your facility have Care Meetings? They are meetings where you, your relatives and whoever meet with the people in charge of your case. You and your relatives could bring up your issues with being vegetarian up with those in charge of your case. And maybe come to some kind of resolution. When Rick's mom was in assisted living, he and his sister attended Care Meetings every month. She's in a nursing home now, but they still have those meetings. Now the meetings are done via FaceTime bc of Covid, but they're still having them; in fact Rick, Jeanne and their mom are having one this afternoon. You need to do something, have some kind of meeting, get to the bottom of all this. I know you don't like to rock the boat, but that boat really needs to be rocked at this point!

Last night, I took some leftover turkey (from Thanksgiving) out of the freezer and made turkey vegetable soup. And made some rivels and threw them in. That was all had, just great big bowls of soup. No buns, no salad. It was good and there's enough leftover for lunch today. Later on, we dug chocolate marshmallow ice cream out of the freezer for a bit of a snack. I added extra marshmallow creme to mine bc you can't get enough marshmallow in choc marshmallow ice cream.

I think we'll just do a pizza tonight.

They had meetings when I was in rehab but not here. I'll ask my sister about them. I was so mad when I got my lunch today. It is just ridiculous. I was able to take a picture of it but I was not able to send it to my sister. I showed it to the nurse when she came in and she said the food here was not that good. She said she would get me a grilled cheese.
I am suppose to see the doctor today. I am going to show her the picture I took and tell her I am suppose to be on a high protein diet. Thanks for your concern.

I won't laugh. I'm obsessed with crackers lately! I never ate them for 25 years, but now I eat them almost every day.

That looks so good! I'll have to try it.

Good for you, that sounds like a great idea.

Breakfast: Udi's Original Granola, 1/3 cup 2% cow milk, half of a diced Pink Lady Apple. I just love this granola! It has dried banana chips in it that taste amazing. I think these banana chips are my new favorite food!

Lunch: Snack plate! The other half of that diced Pink Lady apple, Wheat Thins tomato basil crackers, Chesters Flamin Hot Fries, 1 slice Aldi diced provolone cheese, 1TB Maranatha dark roast almond butter, 2TB Great Value Cheez Whiz knockoff. I found out on Facebook that the proper name for my snack plate is Charcuterie Board! Too fancy for me, so I'll just call it snack plate.

Dinner: Weird dinner! 1 slice Gluten Free Vegan Cheesecake, 1 gluten free peanut butter cookie, 1TB gingerbread raw almond butter, the rest of those Chesters Flamin Hot Fries dipped in 1TB mayo, 1TB ketchup.

Didn't do pizza last night. Rick ate the rest of the turkey soup and I made a baby Swiss sandwich. That was dinner.
Since I'm making sticky buns this morning, I'm going to throw some dough balls together. Put two in the freezer and keep one out for pepperoni and pepper pizza tonight.

Just a light dinner tonight.
That looks like my snack plate lunch! Wheat Thins are a billion times better though. You need a spread or dip for those crackers!

Breakfast: 2 slices Great Value NY rye bread toasted, each with 1TB butter & 1Tsp molasses sugar, half a diced pink lady apple on top.

Lunch: Snack plate! The other half of that pink lady apple, tomato basil wheat thin crackers, Andy Capp's hot fries, 1 piece cornbread with 1TB raw gingerbread almond butter melted on top, 2TB ketchup for the chip/fries, 1 diced slice of colby jack cheese.

Dinner: Still trying to finish up that mexican bean veggie soup, shredded cheese and some Andy Capp's hot fries on top, spicy fire salt, El Yucateco black habanero hot sauce

Well, duh, you know what, I actually have some of those individual hummus cups in the fridge that would have been perfect.

I sometimes get the triangle Triscuits, which are a bit thinner and less and Shredded Wheat like. But Wheat Thins are good too. As are Ritz and Sociables.

I'd be chomping at the bit too, I would love to eat any one of those desserts. Enjoy your dinner and desserts tomorrow.

Okay. I'm willing to give them another chance. Should I get Original or Parmesan Garlic flavor?

Either, depending on what you want to plunge them into! I've now tried MOST of the Ritz flavors, and some of them are really good!

Tonight is Christmas Eve, so I'll be making my garlic grits casserole and hot fruit. I'm also experimenting with cookies made from cake mix.

Ooh, how do you make that? I like grits with sharp cheddar cheese and garlic, so that sounds like something I'd enjoy!

I had potstickers tonight. They were pretty good but the burner had something on it and now the house is smelly/smoky. Badger always gets extremely concerned when he smells smoke so he's been mowling and trying to get my attention for the past half hour. At least I know that someone will tell me if the house is burning down, lol.
