I had an issue with someone parking too close to my car when I was heavily pregnant with DS. I remember leaving a snarky rant on my Facebook page because it was one of those oversized pickup trucks and I had to rub my body on my own “pollen encrusted vehicle” to get in. I was sitting there fuming and trying to decide on leaving them a note when some chick came out of the store, hopped in and drove off like it was nothing. :flail: Its MUCH funnier now than it was then!

I actually prefer to bag my own groceries because the cashiers are so slow because they have to scan and then bag. It is just easier to bag stuff as they scan it so all I have to do is pay and get out.
I much preferred it when I was able to use my reusable bags and wasn't heavily pregnant, because they were never good at packing things well. But now I'm to the point where I'm happy to let people help if they will because it's so tiring otherwise.

Finny has been letting people pet him again. He even gave finger kisses to one of my mom's clients who reached up to give him love while he was lounging in the cat tree. He wasn't wary or skittish at all according to my mom. I'm hoping this means he's going back to his old people-loving self again. He seems so much happier at this house than the old one. I wonder if he associated the old house with his trauma from the construction, and moving away was some kind of relief. I'm curious what will happen tomorrow when my bff comes over to pick me up for work. She's been dying to give Finny lovins but the last time she saw him he was at the old house and was still wary of most people.

Teddy is pretty much the same. Shy little mush ball lol He's got some dander on his back, though. Still working on his weight so he might not be able to reach properly. Everything else about him is normal. Good appetite, playful. affectionate. Fur is soft.

The day shift lady at work is exhausting. Not only is she racist (thinks black people should "stick to their own kind"), every day she has beef with someone new for the dumbest reasons. Nurse tells her the trash doesn't need pulling because there's only a few gloves in it? How dare she be so rude. Nurse tells her he "got it" when she found him starting on a room? Horrible attitude, thinks he thinks he's all that and his sht doesn't stink. Didn't like how he grabbed gloves off the wall (I have never seen him clean a room ever, so honestly he might have been pissed he needed to step in. Who cares?). Tech keeps stripping beds for her? What a btch.

I swear it's something new every time I come in. Her voice is cracking, sometimes she's on the verge of tears or she's so pissed she wanted to go off on them. It's ridiculous. Things I hear and deal with all the time that doesn't even phase me makes her lose her freaking marbles. If I see a nurse cleaning a room or if a tech strips a bed for me, you know what I do? Say thank you, and either say I can take over if they want or just help them. They just say no problem and we chat as we clean. Sometimes they need the room, sometimes they are just bored and want something to do. It's not a personal attack. I'm grateful for any help I can get and I show that instead of getting all angry and offended. Sometimes it's embarrassing, yeah, but I move on with my life.

I am so happy she's looking for a new job. She's been a great coworker simply because she never leaves me a mess and is a hard worker, but I can't take the drama anymore. Especially now that I know she's racist. Wasn't expecting that, honestly but oh well.

I never felt the pregnancy tiredness either time. In fact I felt more energy. Almost like a super hero. Empowered for some reason... even when my first was two weeks past due!

I never got that. I completely missed the clues when I was “nesting” the day before I went into labor with DD. I went shopping for the stuff we still needed. I’d just gone on maternity leave a few weeks before but thought I had so much time to get her room ready. Oops! With DS I had hauled myself and DD to the mall (45 minutes from home and she was 2) to find the Build A Bear store had closed. Then I dropped DD off to my mom for my appointment and ended up driving myself from there to the hospital to deliver. I didn’t even have my bag or DDs.

The funniest part about that time was how I kept knocking DD in the head with my big belly. Poor kiddo. It was like a big bumper car. :paperbag::lol:

I never felt labor pains with the youngest. I mean ever!! Went to work and then had a doctor's appointment later that day. Doctor told me I was starting to dilate and to go to the hospital. I told her I wasn't ready. I didn't know where my oldest would stay. Didn't have a bag packed. Nothing. It told her I would go when I felt something. Two days later I drove myself to the hospital still not feeling anything but I was getting worried because I was supposed to be in labor but felt nothing!!

I am laying there waiting for the doctor to come in. Nurse comes to check me and says the baby is coming out!! Thank God she checked or he might have fallen out and onto the floor!! One half hearted push and he was out.

Afterwards I didn't even feel like I had given birth. With my first, I was sore as heck for a while. If all my births could be like my youngest, I would gladly had a dozen babies!!

During high school I worked as a bagger at a Jewel for a summer. There was a very fast cashier who I bagged for a few times, and he was very impressed I could actually keep up with him and was the only person who ever did. I was very fast, but also very good at playing tetris and putting like things together. My brain just works fast, and I can classify and plan quickly. It was fun trying to keep up with this specific cashier, haha.

But I can relate to feeling like the person ringing me up is slow. Self-check outs though are frustrating for me at times. Even after a gazillion years of cashiering and being very fast, self-check outs have a hard time scanning my items much of the time. I don't know what it is! I also scan multiple items in a row and then hold them together while putting into bag (one of my time saving techniques that increased my speed) and self-check outs do not like when the items are not placed on the weight sensor right after scanning. Really cramps my speed and scanning/bagging style. 😄

But seriously, I've been doing Hypnobabies in hopes it'll help, but even I'm not expecting that!

Facebook has a dating thingy now. Thought it would have been a total loss but I decided to try it out of nothing other than pure curiosity. I'm actually surprised. Seems to be some pretty decent people on there.

I have one friend who had a nurse delivery. I was supposed to be with her! She went to the hospital twice and they sent her home saying she wasn’t ready. The second time she said she got to the car and said nope, gotta go back. She barely made it on the table. :flail: I didn’t want things to go quite that fast! My Godmother said her labors were faster with each kid so her doctor told her if she had another just to spend the last trimester in the waiting room. 😳🤪

With DD I labored mostly in my back but DS was up front. Everyone is so different and every labor. I’m glad thosedays are behind me now though. 😆

I think my brother tried that. There was something so you could make it to friends of friends so you could be more sure it was a legit person iirc.

I don't even use my real name on Facebook and I don't put up photos of myself. Facebook also made it so that you cannot screenshot peoples dating profiles because it violates their privacy. We are going into lock down again and I really just felt like I needed people to talk to. Don't have many friends in the program or otherwise. Seriously lacking human interaction.
