Yes. That’s an IKEA chair. I trust you on its identification as you have three of them. It spares me from having to do everything from the bed.

Krista loved IKEA!

Rather, she loved supurrvising the spoils of my trips. I called her my furry foreman. She made sure all the pieces came out of the box and that I put it together successfully.

One of the fun things about old pictures is old decor. That red chaise that Krista is on is also IKEA. And gone. One of the mattress deliveries was kind enough to take it off my hands with the old mattress as well. There is also an IKEA folding desk along the back wall of that picture that is now in the office. Unfolded. 👍

I’ve put together some Target furniture since Krista’s passing. It’s not the same without my furry foreman. 😿
Don't we know. Tarifa was my suPURRvisor here in the office and I miss her oversight so very much.
Yeah, those Poang chairs are the best. They're so stylish and so comfortable it's really a challenge getting up once I've sat down in one. I have two in the living room (black leather) and one in the master bedroom (natural woven fabric, covered with throws to make them very attractive to cats. Elvis spends a lot of time in this one. I call it his throne).

Apple did it again. While I was working on the reply above, I got a notification that photo roll had created a new memory video for me. I am so pleased and proud that I learned how to edit these. There were a few cuts and a music change needed. But other than that, I’m pretty pleased with the pictures and videos they chose. And that when I changed from medium to long, I got four times more! 😻

:bawling::bawling::bawling::hearthrob::kneading::hearthrob:Beautiful. Great choice of music, too. Especially love the purrs and mews and little "mffft!"s.

I don't know how you watch these, it nearly brought me to tears and she wasn't even my cat. (Probably because of what I know is yet to come for me. :sigh:)
There are a couple that are real tear jerkers for me. Interestingly, the OC video is a really hard one for me to watch and he wasn't even my cat. I think it was the music combined with the the story arc (inside, outside, camera only, final footage with collar and tag.) The Sleeps one is another hard one for me to watch.

I do miss her like crazy. And if you ask me to spend too much time reflecting on it, like now, then surely I'll get a little misty. But most of the time, I love seeing her face and her expressions and I'm so over-the-moon that I got to spend all that time with her even if much of it is a blur now because of the intensity of her last years. It also pleases me so much to see so many happy and healthy pictures of Krista in there.

I'm sorry Feeby is getting older, and I'm saddened by her HT diagnosis. I hope the treatment is successful. I also hope you'll hold her a little closer and take more photos and videos now than you think you'll ever need. I don't think anyone has ever regretted that. I never read in the Bridge threads, "I wish I had taken fewer pictures and videos." Even though they were and sometimes still are hard to look through, I wouldn't even delete the dark and blurry ones now.

I have nearly 2000 photos and videos of Krista. As much as I try, it's not a task for phone or iPad to sort though these. I bought cloud storage from Google and I'm backing them up there. I just learned that there is an iCloud for Windows. This weekend's project is to familiarize myself with both iCloud for Windows and Google Photos and decide which to use to organize the pictures. I wish I could simply add a label or tag to my pictures in my camera roll and then simply search and sort on tags. Maybe iOS 15....

This is crazy! The Chewy ad on TCS, I now have three of those four products. At the time this picture was taken, I was only looking at the carrier because that's the carrier I got for Krista (and re-purchased a couple of times after she pooped in them.) They were terrible to clean when she soiled them. But aside from that, it was a great carrier and I think she enjoyed it as much as any cat has ever enjoyed a carrier. I know she appreciated the expandable sides when waiting for the vet. I was not at all looking at the pen or the SureFeed back in Jan 2019. Crazy how I ended up getting those anyway. And neither of them from Chewy. 😹

Well, and don't forget you can store your pix on snapfish.com and shutterfly.com. I have those plus google plus my PC plus my HDD. Because, you know, people like us can't have too many sources to store our treasures. ;)

That's too many places for me. iCloud with a Google backup is perfectly adequate for me right now. I don't even use my Dropbox anymore. I don't use a PC outside of work much anymore either. I don't want to keep too many personal pictures on the work laptop. Weekend project is booting up the personal laptop, installing plenty of overdue updates, and getting familiar with iCloud for Windows and Google Photos. Ideally, organizing one would update the other. But we'll figure that out this weekend.

If you did, or even with a laptop, you can use an external hard drive to store those pics. I know its old school, but it has served its purposes for me - and no 'cloud' related services to deal with.
I used to do that. But then the hard drive crashed and that was the end of all the files, photos, videos, music, and movies that was on that drive. I'm sure I lost some Krista and Cabbie pictures. That was what pushed me into using the cloud. I trust Google more than Seagate/Western Digital. They do all kinds of redundancy and backups that would be prohibitively expensive for me to replicate.

Most hard drive crashes are 'recoverable' (by an expert, not me), but that is why I also keep CD/DVD back ups as well. I am sure the cloud works best for many, especially those that are younger!!

;)You know what you need. Yes, hope you get those updates installed! They can be pains but the opposite can be even more painful.
I like to have everything that's important to me everywhere. That way if I lose it in one or two or three places, there is always Place 4 and Place 5. And so on. I even have discs from back in the day with a lot of fun stuff from when AOL addys were my main ones and there was a lot of chat and socializing on fb going on. Lots of clip art and sigtags and other great stuff, too. *Those were the days!*

*I know! I do that to Elvis a lot. If I tried that with Baby Su, IDK what I'd look like afterwards, but it wouldn't be pretty*
She had ultrasound belly for the better part of the last two years. 😿

And IV arms for most of that time too.

I think the IBD/lymphoma made it harder for her to regrow her fur. The chemo probably didn’t help.

iCloud for Windows: 👎

It’s just another sync drive extension. That would be okay if Windows wasn’t even worse than Apple for organizing photos.

Google Photos, on the other hand, I’m really liking it. I can browse all the pictures and videos in my web browser rather than having to replicate all of them on the local drive. And edits and deletes I make in Google Photos, I can carry over to Apple easily enough.

I still have to go through the pain of sorting my Apple photos into Apple albums and the same photos in Google Photos into Google albums. 🤦‍♂️
