Yeah. They don't mess around down there. It's humans on top and everyone else not even a blip on the radar. They set fires to kill them?
exactly!if they devour rice crops and are sitting ducks, why are they not a protein source?
Another series of wonderful photos and thoughts, Jcatbird -- for which we thank you so much! Such lovely signs of Spring. Our Valencia orange is in blossom now -- and that is the sweetest scent I know! Bees are busy on them and on the nectarine blossoms right now. I am hoping for some violets, too. The air is perfumed in the beginning of Spring every year. So much beauty!I was outside earlier. Taking a walk is such a relaxing thing to be doing right now. I thought I would share a bit of what I saw. I hope this is a breath of fresh air for everyone. I’ll be back with the kitty report.
Peach blossoms, pine trees and beautiful sky!

Tiny white flower buds on Sundew plants.

The sundew leaves have hundreds of little hairs that are tipped with a sparkling drop of liquid. The plants are only about an inch and a half across.

The woods are bordered by thousands of white violets. Very soon they will produce seed pods that, when ripe, will launch the seeds. The pods are like springs and any movement causes the seeds to be forcefully ejected to new ground.

The deciduous tress have not leafed out yet but the silhouettes are lovely. The sky was amazing today.

Deep breath everyone! The breeze is wonderful and filled with the perfume of peach flowers, jasmine, tea olive, banana shrub, violets and roses. No matter where you go, something amazing is waiting to be discovered. If you take a walk, look closely in the grass for the tiny jewels that are usually missed as we walk by. Like sundews.
I tried to take my walk outside today, but the wind nearly blew me away. It felt like the Wizard of Oz! But I did notice how wonderful the air smelled! I don't know what it was. Pine trees maybe? The breeze is wonderful and filled with the perfume
I hope so! I'm starting to panic about this Corona Virus. No matter where you go, something amazing is waiting to be discovered.
Not me! I never daydream about winter. Blah. I like to be warm.I sometimes imagine the crunch of fresh snow beneath my feet
Awww I love that! So sweet.Lady said to tell you, she loves you for your colors too.
I love coffee too and I drink them neat. No milk and no sugar. So you love your coffee too.
Try not to feel panic. I know this is all strange and nerve wracking but we have many viruses pass us during the flu season. The big thing is to practice practical suggestions. Keep others at a safe distance, wash your hands anytime you come in from any where, or handle anytihing in stores, don’t touch your face until you have washed up, if you sneeze or cough be sure to protect others by putting your face into the crook of your elbow, don’t go shopping or around multiple people unless you need to, keep surfaces clean, try to stay active in mind and body and remember that , this too shall pass. If you feel stressed, talk to someone, help someone, take a deep breath of that nice outside air or pet a kitty. It all helps. We are here for each other. That is something we can all be thankful for.I tried to take my walk outside today, but the wind nearly blew me away. It felt like the Wizard of Oz! But I did notice how wonderful the air smelled! Poor phone! I expect mine will follow yours in time. Hang on little phones!HA! I got here! By the hardest. It's almost midnight, and I spent the last 3 hours on chat with an Apple tech, trying to figure out what is going on with my phone. It appears that it is dying of old age, and will need to be replaced very soon. The upside is that he told me how to back everything up, so when I get the new phone, my "stuff" will all be there!
Cane sugar is DA BOMB! Unfortunately, the price blows my budget!
Thanks for posting the flower pics. They're so beautiful.I was outside earlier. Taking a walk is such a relaxing thing to be doing right now. I thought I would share a bit of what I saw. I hope this is a breath of fresh air for everyone. I’ll be back with the kitty report.
My daffodils are coming up also. So nice to see. Grass is getting greener under the snow.I'll second that. Our tulips and daffodils have sprouted, and our dwarf crocus are in full bloom, and some of our other perennials are showing signs of life as well.
